About Storage showing everything as "System" Posted: 02 Jun 2018 05:46 PM PDT Hi. I am on High Sierra 10.13.5 and my about storage section just shows everything as "system" rather than apps, photos, etc. My "Manage" section works fine. I tried re-indexing my spotlight with no luck. I also wiped my drive and tried re-installing macOS. Please help!!! [link] [comments]
Suggestions for a dedicated Youtube downloader app? Posted: 02 Jun 2018 01:45 PM PDT I have ClipGrab but it seems to not be able to download above 1080p. Any other suggestions? [link] [comments]
Better way to share Home folder between different macOS installations? Posted: 02 Jun 2018 12:25 PM PDT Let's say I clone my system partition to another hard disk and then I upgrade one of the installations to a newer macOS versions (or beta). I'd like to be able to use the new version but I'd like to work using the older Home folder, so I don't have to keep track on every change I do to my documents while testing the new S.O. and everything will be up to date when I work with the older macOS version. Will a simple symlink to the old disk Home folder do the trick? Any advise? [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Jun 2018 11:07 AM PDT Today MiniSD card for my DSLR gave an error and I lost around 20 photos. Is there any free data recovery software for Mac OS X to recover those files from SD card? All I found was paid or limited free software. Cheers [link] [comments]

Messages and iMessage need this update Posted: 02 Jun 2018 04:41 AM PDT You should be able to create a subject name for message threads EVEN IF you have non-Apple participants. I have a few text threads going on with a large amount of people and if a single person in there has an Android, boom - I can't name the thread something. I feel that's an oddly lacking feature regardless of perhaps some technical limitation. [link] [comments] |
