Posted: 25 Jun 2018 11:49 AM PDT Went to a Genius Bar appointment, showed the genius my iPhone X GPS issue (T-Mobile model, 11.4), he pulled out a brand new iPhone X (SIM-free, 11.4), set it up, fired up GPSdiagnostic, same thing, signal only showing "Cellular / Wi-Fi / Bluetooth", no satellites, and HERE We Go app navigation keeps on "Looking for GPS", Waze app navigation "No GPS, using estimate location); so he pulled out his own iPhone X (Verizon, 12.1 beta 2) and same thing, then pulled out the store employee iPhone X (AT&T, 11.3.1) and same thing. He ran the Apple Diagnostic on ALL of the devices and they all turned up no issue. Unless ALL of the apps decided not to work with all 4 iPhone X GPS from 11.3.1 to 12.1 beta 2, then there is seriously something wrong with the iPhone X GPS. The genius suggested to wait for the 11.4.1 update to see if the problem persist then to make another appointment. Can we escalate this to Tim Cook now? [link] [comments]
Posted: 25 Jun 2018 04:01 PM PDT I'm new to the iPhone world.. I switched from a galaxy s7 (& honestly still contemplating keeping the phone or going back & getting the s9) BUT I need some help... Anyone who's used an Android knows whenever u take a screenshot, you have the option to "screen capture" which essentially means you can continue screen shooting, while scrolling further down the page, all in one screenshot, without having to take multiple screenshots... Does anyone know if this is possible on the iPhone & if so please tell me how!!! I'd greatly appreciated it! [link] [comments]
Posted: 25 Jun 2018 04:30 PM PDT I know this group is mainly for iPhone X questions, but this is still on topic... I was a galaxy user prior to switching to the iPhone X.. I'm having a really tough time getting use to it, I'm probably nitpicking over stupid little things but I guess to me, that's had the same model phone (galaxy's) since leaving blackberry, I need some advice...of course one major issue I'm having trouble adjusting too is not being able to customize my phone pretty much @ all... & I hate this! No widgets, & I feel like all of my pictures are coming out grainy (this is my 3rd phone BTW) is it just me or has this happened to others? Any advice is welcomed, especially from those who have gone back& form between android to iOS /android :) Why did you stick with this phone? What steered you away from the Samsung (whether it was the Galaxy, Note etc) Anything else you'd like to add I really appreciate that as well!! :) [link] [comments]
[Question]iPhone warms up doing day to day tasks. Posted: 25 Jun 2018 08:40 AM PDT My iPhone's can get a bit warm when using day to day tasks, such as mildly intensive browsing to imore, macrumors, and reddit. Using Appolo can also warm it up. Facebook app can also make it feel a bit warm, and even making phone calls can warm it up. Are all of these normal to heat up the phone? Temp gun can read up to 34.4C Thank you everyone. Posted: 25 Jun 2018 02:26 PM PDT So, I accidentally sent an image. Managed to put on Airplane mode before it sent. I held the message and deleted the picture from the conversation. However, the blue bar is still stuck on its final section. How do I prevent it from sending completely before I take off airplane mode? [link] [comments]
Gimbal Stabilizer for 4k 60fps Posted: 25 Jun 2018 07:45 AM PDT I'm looking for a handheld stabilizer that I can shoot 4k 60fps video with my iPhone X. I have two gimbals now, but the software doesn't support shooting 4k 60fps. I can still use the gimbals without their respective software (just using my iPhone X camera) but then I lose the functionality of the joystick and zoom features. Is anyone aware of a stabilizer under $300 that's software is up to date with the mobile phone camera industry standard of 4k 60fps? I'm hoping one of my gimbals will get a patch update that will fix this problem, but I'm not holding my breathe. [link] [comments]
Finger holder that will work with wireless charging? Posted: 24 Jun 2018 10:19 PM PDT So I have a wireless setup and was wondering if anyone has found a finger holder that has worked with wireless charging? I just love them since they can double as stands and can be pretty great in the hand. I've tried putting one at the top and bottom but that creates a really awkward grip. [link] [comments]
