Toy phones are finally embracing the notch

Apple's revamped App Store guidelines states that all apps are required to "clearly describe" new features and product changes in their "What's New" text. That means a whole lot less of "Bug fixes and improvements," when they actually changed or added something.

    Posted: 06 Jun 2018 08:18 AM PDT

    Hi guys ,

how can i compare the new infos and graphs in the first beta of ios 12 to the "usage" and "standby" time in ios 11.4 and previous?

The new "screen on usage" is the old " usage"?

    I need a clarification

    thank you

You can use the macOS Mojave dynamic wallpaper as a live wallpaper for your iPhone.

Links to the dynamic wallpaper video:

    Imgur link

For better quality: here's the link to the video extracted from the Apple website

Use the app "intoLive" to create a live wallpaper. I did that and it's stunning.

iOS 12 Developer Beta on iPhone X

    Posted: 06 Jun 2018 06:18 AM PDT

After seeing some posts about how reliable Dev Beta 1 of iOS 12 is, I decided to back up to iCloud and give it a try.

I'm now running iOS 12 on my iPhone X and so far it is super fast and responsive. I have yet to see any bugs.

Swappa iPhone X not paid off

    Posted: 06 Jun 2018 07:49 AM PDT

Hey guys thought I'd try to see if anyone has any experience with this.

Had my X since January and finally took the sim out yesterday (to test gf's old phone) and was met with my line being suspended and "phone is fraudulent" while talking to Verizon due to not being paid off.

Have contacted Swappa and they've notified seller, who has not responded yet. Anyone else had a similar experience? Assuming I will have to file a claim with PayPal.

    Thanks 🙏🏻

Guide: how to go back to the beginning of your iMessage/messages conversation, easily navigate through all messages (and go to the start of a conversation) and see how many iMessages you sent to someone

    Posted: 06 Jun 2018 07:51 AM PDT

    1. Download iTunes
    2. Plug in iPhone to computer
    3. Make backup on iTunes (while backups can be made on iExplorer, they can take too long or show no progress)
    4. Download iExplorer from the official website
    5. Use the iExplorer demo (free version)
    6. Go to Browse iTunes Backups and select the backup made
    7. Fill in the set iTunes encryption password (if needed)
    8. Click Messages
    9. Select a conversation
    10. You can see the message count next to the text bubbles icon, and you can easily navigate to wherever in the conversation by using the scroll bar

I made this guide because I couldn't find any easy one anywhere. If you like it, I'd appreciate an upvote:)

This is not a promotion of iExplorer.

Apple Pay working on and off on iPhone X

    Posted: 06 Jun 2018 07:59 AM PDT

So for the last week or so, apple pay on my X has only worked on average 2/10 times I try it.

It recognizes face ID fine and says 'hold near reader' but nothing happens most of the time. There will be an odd occasion where I seem to hold it just right and it works.

I've had the phone since December and apple pay had always worked before. Any ideas what this could be?

Question to those who got their iPhone 6s batteries replaced with the battery replacement program

    Posted: 06 Jun 2018 01:57 AM PDT

    Hi!

I got an iPhone 6s which I bough in October 2015. I started having battery issues like random shut downs and so on when the battery was less than 50% charged. So fortunately Apple announced the battery replacement program and I got my iPhone's battery replaced in November 2016.

By the end of 2017 the replacement battery started to act exactly the same way as the battery that the phone had when I bought it. With battery health stating 88% and some 300 charge cycles on it I find it odd.

So I'm wondering did Apple use the same crappy batteries during the replacement program? Or the batteries are actually fine but the problem is with iOS or the phone's hardware? If the fault really is with the batteries than I'm wondering are the batteries that Apple currently uses any better than the ones they used in 2015 and 2016?

    Anybody else got similar experience?
