Some changes to posting about bugs Posted: 17 Jun 2018 12:58 PM PDT Hey everyone, There's been a bit of confusion about how the subreddit allows bug posts as of lately, so I think its worth clearing it up before we begin discussing the changes that have made. Why we allow bug postsWe allow bug posts here because we as moderators believe that this is an appropriate place to post them. This community, as a discussion platform for iOS betas, does provide a valuable place for people to discuss bugs that they have experienced with others. Bugs are a part of beta testing, and being able to see if other people have experienced the issue and what caused it for them is infinitely useful. What we are not, though, is a replacement for the actual reporting channels provided by Apple or third-party app developers. Developers don't usually check this subreddit, whether Apple or a third-party. It's not their job. If you're posting a bug here, you should also be doing one of the following:
Changes to bug postsWe recognize all of the above, and think that some improvements can be made for everyone: both users posting and developers. A dedicated flair for third-party bugsBetas can cause third-party apps to have bugs, too. Users who are using the beta might want a heads-up about bugs they'll experience. That's why we have allowed third-party app bug reports for some time now. Still, third-party app bugs should be easily distinguishable from bugs in iOS itself, so we now have a new flair for third-party app bugs. Include "[Third Party Bug]" in your post title to add the flair to your post. Bugs that have no relation to the beta at all will still be removed. A reminder to properly report bugsWhile we allow bug posts, we still do feel that there is a potential for users that think Apple does check the subreddit. To fix that, on each bug-related post, auto moderator will now reply with a small comment teaching users how to properly report the bug and why it's necessary. Commonly posted bugsWe've had an increase of the same bugs being posted, so before you post anything, please check to make sure nobody else has recently. Nobody wants to see the same content repeatedly. This has also been added to the auto moderator message. We hope that these changes can improve bug posts and how bugs are reported for everyone. Thanks for participating, [link] [comments]

Posted: 18 Jun 2018 08:41 AM PDT iPhone 7 user, I've been running ios 12 since the release but today my battery has gone mad, it goes down 1% almost every minute. I know this is a beta, but still, this is kinda sad .. I did a fresh install earlier today, thought it might help, nothing has changed. I have background refresh turned off, location services only for some apps and my battery health is at 89%. Any suggestions ? Remember, when it released, battery life was actually decent, even better than it was on 11.4, at least for me [link] [comments]

[Request] Apple Music curated playlists should be able to be downloaded but then changed Posted: 18 Jun 2018 06:22 AM PDT Once you download an Apple Music curated playlist you should be able to remove the songs you don't like from it completely. [link] [comments]

Posted: 18 Jun 2018 09:14 AM PDT Up to 11.4, photos taken within an iMessage thread would not save to the camera roll. I preferred this, because if I'm taking a photo to send it directly to one individual in an iMessage chat, chances are (for me) that it's just some throwaway junk. Ever since the beta rolled out two weeks ago, I've been constantly switching from iMessages to the camera roll to delete a dumb selfie or some other throwaway picture I just sent to someone. [Bug] Apps start crashing immediately on launch Posted: 18 Jun 2018 09:26 AM PDT Over the past few days, I've had multiple apps start crashing immediately upon launching. The only way I've been able to fix the issue is to delete the app, hard restart my phone, then reinstall the app. Simply deleting and reinstalling doesn't work. It's happened to multiple apps, and there doesn't seem to be any connection between the apps that it's happening to. [link] [comments]

AS stated in the title, can anyone with an iPhone 5S/SE and on iOS 12 beta screenshot the default icons arrangement in the home screen, especially the first two pages? Thank you very much beforehand! [Question] Bug reporting in iOS12 without developer account Posted: 17 Jun 2018 11:36 PM PDT I notice various things I would like to report, like my iPhone heating up while charging. But as I... should not have this beta in the first place and my AppleID reflects that - how safe is it to report bugs in the iOS 12 without a developer account? [link] [comments]
