As you can see the different between the first part (HiDPI is on) and the second part (HiDPI is off). Is there any way to get smooth performance as well as sharp texts and icons ? | We should force quit apps on MacOS? Posted: 04 May 2018 05:08 AM PDT So, we know that force quitting apps on iOS is not good. Makes the system slower and uses more battery: https://daringfireball.net/2017/07/you_should_not_force_quit_apps What about the Mac? We certainly should not be just minimising apps leaving them open. But we should be closing apps (command + Q) or just closing the windows (command + W)? MacOS is smart enough with ram allocation and management like iOS? [link] [comments]  |
| Why does CTRL+Space not register as a hotkey on macOS? Posted: 04 May 2018 05:39 AM PDT I just swapped over from Windows to Mac and since I do web development, I use shortcuts a lot. In my IDE I want to use CTRL+Space as a shortcut for something but macOS refuses to even acknowledge it. | iMac 27" 5K late 2015 freezes and restarts Posted: 04 May 2018 03:46 AM PDT Ironically, I was writing this when it restarted. Let's try again. Since High Sierra was installed, I've experienced weird Bluetooth behaviour with the peripherals but now, a few updates later, my Mac freezes up and restarts. I just did ANOTHER SMC and PRAM reset, I've tried isolating hardwares and eHD, Safe Mode... I don't have a Time Machine setup. After this latest update, the systems feels slow too. If I leave it on at night, next morning I notice it has restarted.
