    I made this prototype a while ago and never ended up sharing it. After seeing Android P's new gesture menu at yesterday's I/O event it reminded me that Apple seriously needs to fix this iOS UX flaw.

    The control center should be easily accessible. Forcing the user to swipe down from the top right couldn't be more awkward. We have this beautifully natural swipe-up gesture for the application switcher... there has to be a way Apple can combine these different menus.

    It's far from perfect but it's way better than having to reach for the top of the screen. What do you all think? This is personally one of my biggest pet peeves with iOS right now.

    iPhone X: The Reddit app causes the same battery usage time as stand-by time...

    I found out that the official Reddit app causes the problem... When it's op in the background, the usage time increases when I don't use my iPhone. When I close it, this doesn't happen anymore. So I will install a different app. What's the best alternative, Apollo?

    No results when searching on #Images?

    So I'm pretty new to the new iOS stuff, I had an iPod when I was like 15, so about 7 years ago. But yea, my girlfriend was showing me #Images and it was working great, and now this morning no matter what I search up I'm getting "no results for ______" yes I'm connected to a network(Celluar and Wi-if) #Images is turned on, I just can't figure it out.

    Strange beeping when I answer phone or listen to voicemails.

    I've got this strange peeping on my iPhone 6s. It started around a month ago and I'm not sure what caused it or what it is.

    I've had this phone for 22 months. So getting a upgrade it 2 months time.

    When I watch videos on my phone or listen to music it's fine and works properly with no beeping.

    It's only when I answer the phone or listen to my voicemails. It also beeps when I get a phone call and haven't answered yet. It rings and beeps.

    When I do answer the phone the other person can't hear me due to the beeps. I've tried calling and receiving calls from different people and it's the same. It's also the same if I'm speaking to someone from a mobile or landline.

    It's super annoying.

    Any ideas?

    Downloaded Audiobooks automatically transferring to Audible app, instead of iBooks?

    I've never had this issue prior to last night. I synced my music and audiobooks from iTunes, and I looked on the iBooks app, there were no audiobooks there.

    I happened to look at the Audible app, and the audiobooks are there now, under the "iTunes" tab.

    I normally wouldn't mind listening to the books through Audible, but the issue, is that Audible will not let you change the speed of the iTunes books, and I can't stand to listen to audiobooks anything below 1.5x speed now.

    Anybody know how to get audiobooks to load to iBooks by default? Thank you in advance.

    Alarms turning themselves off iOS 11.3.1?

    Anyone having alarm issues the last few days? Mine haven't worked since Saturday. They've been turning themselves off during the night and if I set one and force close the Clock app, they turn off. I'm on 11.3.1, 6s+

    Emergency Bypass

    So I have Emergency bypass set for my wife. If my phone is on DND, her phone will still come through. Makes sense. The problem is, if my phone Is just on silent (mute switch) and she calls it still comes through with audio.

    I don't need this to happen, only when the phone is in DND. Is there anyway to tell the phone to do one not the other?

    Or even if I could select a more "subtle" ringtone.

    Looking for way to mount phone to flat vertical surface

    Have a situation where I need to have a phone stay vertical (as if mounted) but its going inside a not too deep cabinet. The cabinet has a magnetic back plate

    Putting a magnet on the phone like car mounts would work but issue is this is a temporary consumer use situation where I can't ask people to adhere things to their phones

    Any thoughts?

    Printing from iPhone without PC

    I would like to set up an inexpensive printer for use with my iPad Air and iPhone 8, but I don't have a pc, so I can't use an installation disk. Is this possible? Does anyone have any recommendations for printers?

    Should I return/exchange my potentially faulty iPhone X?

    Since then, I've had no more problems with the 'ghost swiping'.

    However I was just trying to rename some of my folders, and every time I searched through emojis, the screen would randomly go back to normal as if I'd pressed 'done'. All I was doing (or trying to do) was scroll through emojis.

    This happened every single time.

    I was just wondering, after these 2 bad experiences, are they simply annoying iOS bugs? Or should I take it back to the Apple Store (I bought it yesterday so I'm well within my 14 day return period although I'd probably have to spend another £20 on a screen protector).

    iPhone 7plus. Screenshot not working?

    Basically just the title. I'm on the iPhone 7plus and the screenshot (home button+lock button) trick isn't working. It just randomly stopped working last night. Both buttons operate as they should separately, but not together. Any advice? Thanks.

    Questions about my returned iPhone, if anyone can help?

    So a few days ago I traded in my X for an iPhone 8+. When I traded it in at the store I erased all content and settings while I was there, but in the past when I've done this my phone has erased and booted back up to normal within like two minutes. This time however, it had the Apple logo on the screen and it sat there for pretty much the whole time I was in the store, which was about an hour. My question pretty much is what is the likelihood that any of my information on that phone is still available? I had passcode and Face ID enabled so I don't think anyone can get in. Also the phone doesn't pop up on find my iPhone, and I deleted it from the Apple ID website and had it sign out just to make sure. One thing that bothers me is that it wasn't already signed out since I had erased all content and settings. Something about downloading a new app today had me thinking about that. If this has happened to anyone or can relay some info my way that'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    Default camera app on my 7+ is stuck on black screen (back camera) but it works with 3rd party apps like snapchat and messengers. Can't seem to find a fix

    Light scratch on iPhone 8 screen - is there any way to try and remove it?

    Like the title says, I dropped my phone and sadly I had no screen protector on at that time. There's a thin scratch on it now.

    I am pretty disappointed with myself because I was trying to keep it in mint condition considering I would like to sell it when the next iPhone is out.

    I was wondering if there was any safe method to at least TRY and remove such scratch, without ruining/removing the oleophobic coating from the screen itself.

    I'm reading anything on the internet from using toothpaste to vegetable oil to SANDPAPER (lol) but for obvious reason I'm not going to use my own device to test that.

    Just wanted to ask if anyone knew of a product that could help me fix this issue.

    Android speed charger on iPhone 8+

    Heya, I'm considering to buy an iPhone 8+ soon and I was wondering if my old speedcharger works on it.

    I'm located in Germany, the charger outputs 5V/2.4A. Can I just use the lightning cable that comes in the package with it and it will actually speedcharge the phone?

    I used it for around 2 years now with my Android phone never had any issues with it.

    Magnifier mode locks up iPhone - can't exit - happening to anyone else?

    Sometimes, when triple clicking to open magnifier mode, I can't exit with the home button like I normally do. I can swipe up and down, use Apple Pay, put the phone to sleep, turn it off, use Siri, but cannot exit the magnifier app itself. When I open Siri to try to escape by asking it to open another app, I get something like "I couldn't open Safari, sorry about that."

    Running an iPhone 7+ on the latest public iOS 11.3.1. This has been happening ever since iOS 11 was released, and since I use magnifier mode quite a bit, the only solution is to power off the phone and power it back on.

    My colleague is asking for iPhone help so I'm passing the question along to you guys.

    In the past he copied a lot of his CDs over to his iPhone and has since gotten rid of that computer. He's looking for a free pc application that will allow him to transfer his music back from his iPhone to his iTunes library on his new computer. I know I've personally done this in the past but I forget what app I used. After some research, I found two that might work: iFunbox and apppandora. Can anyone vouch for either one of these? or if you have a different free (virus free hopefully) app that you can recommend I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
