Or in my case are already jailbroken but wondering whether to update to increase performance but don't want to risk not having a jailbreak release? Here are the best ways you can secure a jailbreak with the highest probability. ** NOTE: ONCE YOU UPDATE YOU CAN ONLY DOWNGRADE TO 11.3.1 AND NOT BELOW THAT** If you're on 11.2 through 11.3 without a jailbreak- You should manually upgrade to 11.3.1 and STAY THERE. Reasoning: 11.3.1 is more stable and is confirmed to have the exploit necessary to jailbreak. If you're on 11.0.0 through 11.1.2 without a jailbreak -you should jailbreak with Electra, save your blobs for 11.3.1 and STAY THERE. *If you're on 11.0.0 through 11.1.2 with a jailbreak - * You should save your blobs for 11.3.1/11.4 as you can upgrade to it later after the signing window has closed. Reasoning: Atleast you'll have a jailbreak while a KPP bypass or patch is being developed and you won't be risking getting rid of your jailbreak for no cause. If you are on iOS 10 without a jailbreak Upgrade to 11.3.1 manually and STAY THERE Reasoning: This may be the only chance you have until iOS 12 if you have a 64 bit device and still are jailbreak deprived. If you have an older device, it should already be jailbreakable and ios 11 will worsen your performance anyways. If you are on iOS 10 with a jailbreak - This is definitely subjective to you. In my opinion, iOS 10 is extremely stable so unless you want to take advantage of new tweaks with the cost of deteriorating performance, then upgrade. If you're on a device that is old and already laggy on ios 10 then don't upgrade as its not worth it, again, in my opinion. Hope I helped, and let me know if there's something wrong in my post that needs correcting, or a way one could have a better likely hood of having a jailbreak. How to get your board configuration (model for phone such as 10,2 10,6 etc.) You'll need this to upgrade manually through an IPSW or to save blobs: Downlod BMSSM from appstore Go to system tab It's the "model" :) How to manually upgrade First download IPSW from ipsw.me Connect your iPhone or iOS device to your computer Select the device in iTunes On a Mac, hold down the "Option" key and then click on "Update" On a Windows PC, hold down "SHIFT" key and then click on "Update" Select the IPSW file you downloaded and click "Choose" Let the iOS device update as usual How to save bloobs If you dont know whether your device is jailbreakable or not submitted by /u/ObamaTookMyToast [link] [comments]

[Tip] having activator resign Electra automatically Posted: 30 May 2018 06:41 AM PDT Activator has released and unlimited options are available for our creative minds. In order to do so, launch activator, press Anywhere, on the top right side you have "build" button , scroll down until you find "scheduled", select the date you want to resign, for example Wednesday at 10:00 and Saturday at 10:00. Then go back to "Anywhere" and add launch Ext3nder, and then action to resign and revoke all. It will ask you if you want to add multiple actions, say yes and Pause (press the pause button again to allow a better gap) Now each time you reach to this time the app will launch and resign all automatically. For the moment it doesn't let you resign all without the app running in the background, that's why you have to launch it first. It works flawless for me. [Question] SSH into iOS 8 device that was 'locked' due to changing the MAC address to change it back. Oh boy. Posted: 30 May 2018 04:06 PM PDT Hi all, Today at the dr's office I changed my MAC address in hopes that I could use the free Time Warner WiFi hotspot. Never get any service in the dr's office and had used my 30 minute trial up, so I figured, hey, this is a perfect time to tinker with stuff I shouldn't be tinkering with. I changed my MAC address with Terminal by using nvram wifiaddr=. I rebooted the phone. The phone needed to be signed in with my iCloud username and password. No problem there, I have the credentials right. But when it goes to 'activate' the phone, it says that it is having trouble connecting to Apple's servers. I suspect this is because I used a 'bad' MAC address, or a MAC address that Apple's servers already have registered to another device. I have noticed that some of my activator commands can 'exit' the activation/unlock screen. I can even go to my springboard and move between pages, but I can not enter any apps. I can make phone calls from the 'recents' top bar in the application switcher. Remember, I'm using iOS 8, so the interface is way behind compared to how iOS looks today. Anyway, I'm trying to ssh into my phone on my windows computer so I can try to send the command to change the address back to what I had before or at the very least some random address that Apple will accept, but when I attempt to connect, I am presented with ECONNREFUSED - Connection refused by server. Does anyone have any ideas for a direction I can head in to resolve this? The phone is basically useless right now D: I can receive phone calls, that's about it. I do not want to restore! If there's no other option, I guess I will have to do that. Like I said, I noticed that some activator commands of mine are working. I know with activator you can run commands (I never set that up, unfortunately) but am really trying to explore any and all possible options! [News] SafariPad - storytime Posted: 30 May 2018 05:14 AM PDT Hello everyone, So I just discovered I've been misinformed and Bensge (the original tweak - FullSafari's author) is not quite gone from tweak development, but merely busy with other things at the moment so we've talked and decided I'm gonna remove my tweak from BigBoss, I pushed my changes as a pull request on his github project and he will update the original tweak to keep the continuity. :) PS: I'm gonna leave the tweak on my repo online for the moment till his update comes up on BigBoss so other users can benefit of it meanwhile but after FullSafari is updated, I'm gonna remove it.
