Posted: 30 May 2018 05:06 PM PDT After turning off iCloud sync with Documents and Desktop, Both of these icons keep removing themselves. It stays if I drag it from Users/User1/Documents, but the moment I try to rearrange anything in the sidebar, both of these icons get removed. Same thing happens if I add these two folder from Preference [CMD + ,] Can anyone help me? It's annoying me very much. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance. I'm running macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 on 2017 MacBook Pro 13'' [link] [comments] |
A macbook that can support 32gb of RAM?? Posted: 30 May 2018 03:06 PM PDT Does such thing exist? Reason I ask is I use my mac to run numerous windows virtual machines. I could just buy a windows PC that supports 32gb of RAM but as Windows as a host OS is a pile of shit, I really dont want to. [link] [comments] |
Will enabling FileVault encrypt free space on my SSD? Posted: 30 May 2018 10:22 AM PDT Hello. I got a MacBook Pro with an SSD, that had a lot of sensible data on it. This data wasn't encrypted. I have formatted it since then, but I know that my data can be recovered. My question is: will enabling FileVault even encrypt that old remaining data on the Drive ? [link] [comments] |
HELP! 2013 rMBP shuts off/restarts when unmounting Seagate Backup Plus drive! Posted: 30 May 2018 07:19 PM PDT My Seagate Backup Plus external drive has failed, after I accidentally yanked the cable from the laptop. Not only has the drive failed (refuses to power on when plugged in), but now when i unplug the drive that's failed to mount, my macbook immediately restarts, with this [screen](https://i.imgur.com/oGnJ60f.jpg[/img]) . Once restarted and I logged back in, i got a "you shut down your computer because of a problem" (even though I didnt shut shit down) message. [This](https://imgur.com/a/jofoonD) is crash message. Any advice on what could be the issue? I'm a photographer, and although I do have other copies of those raw files, I'm still hoping this drive could be saved. Thank you guys in advanced. Posted: 30 May 2018 04:40 AM PDT Hello folks, suddenly my media keys (play pause, last, next) stopped working and I'm really curious why this happened? I'm on the latest macOS version with my late 2013 MBP 13". All the other special keys working properly just those three won't work with iTunes, Spotify or Youtube. [link] [comments] |
