    This will probably start a brawl, but I want to know if I'm alone in feeling that jailbreaking's best times are behind us.

    I miss plugging in a phone, clicking a button, waiting 45 seconds, and being done. I hate that tweaks aren't updated for 10.x, let alone 11.x. I hate that I have to re-sign my jailbreak app every week. I hate that I now have to worry about three different jailbreaks for the same phone/firmware, each with varying levels of success, stability, and features. I hate that certain AppStore apps crash (such as the official Reddit app) for no apparent reason. I hate that I have to think about phone model, iOS version, whether it's currently jailbroken, whether it currently boots, whether I have shsh2 blobs saved, and whether I've set an apnonce, just to be able to decide whether I can upgrade/downgrade. And then once I've thought about all that, I have to figure out what path I have to take to achieve that.

    It feels like Apple is winning the war, while simultaneously becoming more draconian and less stable (even stock iOS does funky shit now. Steve is dead.)

    The last jailbreak I really loved was 9.1. Fully untethered, things got updated, and crashes happened for actual reasons (that could be- get this- FIXED).

    WTF happened? I thought for a long time that jailbreaking was going through a rough patch, but now it looks like it's dying entirely. Am I insane?

    Before you all get out your pitchforks and burn me at the stake - I'm an avid jailbreaker. I've been jailbroken since iOS 3. I just feel like maybe it's time for a change. Please change my mind - tell me what I'm missing. I want to stay, but I'm having a hard time justifying it.

    What happened today was uncalled for and quite frankly ridiclous on all sides. A thread was made calling myself out and a team member Chloe for "DDoSing a piracy repo". The truth is neither of us did. Nobody part of my team sent packets to the pirate's servers. I had posted in the jailbreak community discord that I had the ability to do so but never took part in it. If you need more proof I will gladly contact my ISP and have the pirate contact his to see that no attacks were sent from my servers. The person who did it is @duowot. Both I and Chloe made a mistake involving ourselves in this issue and we regret it. Some of you may have seen Chloe's tweets getting angry with the individual, as he was some what teasing a proding at her on twitter back. This was uncalled for on both sides as well but you need to understad that when a developer has spent weeks or months on a tweak and release it as a paid package they expect people to respect it and not pirate it. Obviously you can't prevent piracy but you can get it shut down.

    DDoSing was not the first action taken torwards getting the pirate's repo shut down. I can't speak for other developers but I myself have submitted multiple copyright claims to his hosting provider with no luck. I have done it multiple times over the course of the last 2 months. Nothing. No E-Mails back, no evidence they even tried to contact the piracy repo. Chloe and I did not DDoS them. It's not fair to say that the Auxilium Development team DDoS'd him because 1. we didn't and 2. it was only me and chloe who were mildly involved.

    The most that I took part in was literally running a ping command to his server to see if it was up and it wasn't. Jack had already been attacking it for a while. Here and here are examples of proof that it was @duowot or Jack as he is known in the discord server.

    As for the thread that was posted earlier but removed now, they claimed that Chloe and I were behind it with the ring leader, Jack. We weren't. As you can see in the Discord Chat posted above, Chloe didn't bring it up. She was simply asked if she hated him. There was no motivation torwards it, she seemed almost to not care.

    It's not fair that my team was targeted for this. It was stupid of me to say what I did in the Discord but I never took any action torwards attacking the pirates repo. Words are words and actions speak louder than words. We weren't the ones behind it. As much as we hate Piracy we even got the repo to remove our packages. Chloe has apologized for her actions and from here on out we want to leave it behind us. We are here to better the community not dramatize it. I can promise you that Auxilium will stay out of any drama going forward and that we will only do things to support this community.

    I hope you can understand both sides of the story and see why Chloe reacted the way she did. We are all young developers. Most the devs now a days are. We need to be more mature from now on and I will make sure that happens. I don't want any more drama associated with Auxilium because we never wanted this in the first place.

    I'm sorry for my immature words and I will make sure that it doesn't happen again.

    Hello people of Reddit, it is I, Lon...ugh shut up already and tell the people what they wanna know ..Ok..

    So following the massive feedback I got on the release day (aka yesterday - Release post), I've started to act upon it.

    First things first, I've fixed the "white nav bar in some apps" bug. Secondly, I've also fixed the "weird glitch animation when pressing the volume buttons just as the HUD is showing/hiding".

    On to new features: I've made the hud thinner (see this: https://imgur.com/a/4FublgV and compare to actual UI). We all know we can't please everyone's desire so for the moment let's all compromise and decide on a size. I promise in the future the thinness will be customisable but for the moment let's make my life easier.

    Next things that will come with the future update: -/+ show/hide, shadow slider (more, less or none, you decide with values), background (modern ios - light/dark blur bg) and/or (for older iOS) colour picker. choosable from any of the aforementioned. And last but not least, WIDE HUD (or not). you choose.

    That's all folks for the moment, pls dont eta, but I hope i can get it done this week. If I encounter delays hold on your pitchforks and have mercy on my soul.

    UPDATE: FOR IOS 11 (not sure if lower as well), just disable "change with buttons" in Sound settings in order to ditch the ringer volume and set it only from settings (since I assume people mostly want to change the media volume usually, not the ringtone volume). This way you'll be ridden of the "not reaching minimum" thing

    EDIT: I'm not sure how to fix the tweak always needing an update. Just click on it > change package settings > and ignore updates as I won't be maintaining this tweak due to the negativity towards it. If you know how to fix it let me know.

    [Discussion] Is TSSSaver down for anyone else?

    Is tsssaver.1conan.com down for anyone else, or is it just me? The whole webpage won't load at all on my phone and iPad. The home page loads on my Mac, but when I try to save new blobs, my Mac won't load the new page. When I try to get the link to my current ones, my Mac gives me the spinning wheel of death and the page freezes. Tried on my home WiFi and cellular connection, and personal hotspot. Rebooting devices did not fix anything

    Hey guys, I've been working on getting the transparency slider fixed in the latest MiscSettings update. Well, it's fixed, and now also sets the colorAlpha along with the whiteAlpha. I felt this wasn't enough to push an update out quite yet so here is where the wonderful community can comment anything they find annoying and would like to do without, so I can work on putting it in the next update of MiscSettings!     On ios 11 iphone 8 plus, It happens everynight when i plug it in ipad adapter charger. By the way it doesnt reboot just lose jailbreak because it doesnt ask me password. Strange

    Taptickeys is patreon only and haptic keyboard makes the taptic engine sometimes not vibrate correctly (it vibrates too hard and feels wrong) I would buy taptickeys but it's not available for purchase yet

    Looks like ashikase has updated Crash Reporter.

    It's probably best to stop using the ComputerWhisperer's version.

    Be sure to remove CS's version as it shows the package as 2.0, meaning you won't be able to install the official build.

    [Help] TetherMe broke my hotspot

    Alright so since I can't buy tetherme since cydia won't allow purchases right now I found another source and downloaded it. It added fine but when I turn on the hotspot it shows up on my other devices and they say they connect but have no internet and I don't get the blue bar thing. Assuming tetherme didn't work I uninstalled it and now even in non jail broken mode (hard reset multiple times) it won't even work in stock iOS.

    The only thing I can think of is borrowing a friends iPhone on iOS 10 and use his cydia to buy tetherme and hope the official version fixes it. Has anyone else experienced this?

    the problem: so ok, heres the full story: yesterday i was playing around with lockhtml4 and xenhtml, and my phone rebooted and sent me to the normal iphone sb. I tried to kickstart again, and it did well until the respring. the respring would stay. and stay. until you booted up manually, it wont do anything. so i did that, and then a person in the discord jailbreak group said to me that hit kickstart and hold volume up while doing so. i did, and well now i can get to cydia! i uninstalled like 6 recent tweaks, went to doubleh3lix, and now it says "run uicache". i know thats for refreshing the icons or smth like that. hit it, and id respring to the normal iphone sb again. i dont know what to do anymore. btw im beggining to learn all this things so yeah im a noob lol.

    so what i have tried so far. -rebooting -kickstart -run uicache -delete recent tweaks
