Never clean your iPhone with (ethyl) alcohol. Posted: 06 Mar 2018 03:43 AM PST So, I'm really obsessed with keeping my phone (iPhone 6s) as clean as possible. I always used ethyl alcohol wet wipes for this purpose and it always worked perfectly. But now, it looks like I f****d home button with them. So at first my home button became loose, it moved around really easy (I suspect alcohol got into rubber home button ring and washed glue away from it), and now I see frickin stains right on a button surface. It looks like MacBook staingate (google it) stains, or just like a dirt, except you can't get rid of it. So, never do what I did. Just use a damn dry cloth like Apple says. [link] [comments]

I wish I could edit the snooze time in the clock app. Posted: 06 Mar 2018 06:21 AM PST The seven (8?) minutes are too long for me. 3 would be perfekt for me. I wish we could adjust the snooze time in the app. (And yes, I submitted feedback to Apple ;). [link] [comments]
[Help] Snapchat doesn’t update Posted: 06 Mar 2018 07:47 AM PST I think my phones done this before with other apps, but does anyone else have an issue where they download the new update to snapchat but it doesn't actually update the app?? Like how can i fix this as it is very annoying. And don't say reinstall, i've already tried that [link] [comments]
Posted: 06 Mar 2018 07:50 AM PST So I (read: my klutz girlfriend) dropped my caseless launch model iPhone 7 last month on a marble floor, completely shattering the screen from top to bottom. Apple quoted a repair cost of £130, and a local phone shop near me quoted £70. Before dropping I was wanting to sell my iPhone 7 and upgrade but now factoring in the repair cost as well as being underwhelmed by a friend's iPhone X, I went with the cheaper 3rd party repair since I have no intentions of reselling and will be keeping the iPhone 7 for the foreseeable future. After getting it repaired there have been a number of issues. Due to work I haven't had a chance to go back and visit them (they said I have a years warranty on the screen) but I feel like the issues may or may not be related to the repair they performed. First is that the edge of the home button is slightly jagged and sharp around the top of the circle. I'm assuming this is due to the repairman not aligning the glass correctly? Secondly (and the big problem), is that I'm finding a lot of screen burn and image retention, particularly when going from bright to dark screens (for example, message screen to night mode Alien Blue) and I can see shadows of the keyboard and message screen retained for a few seconds, and it almost seems like the screen is flickering when this happens? I don't know much about screen repairs or the LCD screen on iPhones but I don't see how replacing the glass on the front would cause the actual LCD screen to start doing this? And lastly scrolling and moving screens on the device just does not seem as smooth as before. If I slowly drag my finger across or up the screen it looks like the icons or text is doing a stop-start effect, which I can tell is clearly different from using family members' iPhone's as well as when I drag and let go to scroll. TL;DR
What out of these could be attributed to either a bad screen repair/the phone just getting old/drop damage? Thanks for any and all help. [link] [comments]

Is there a way I can apply this image on top of another for my homescreen? Posted: 06 Mar 2018 07:33 AM PST Sorry for the bad title. I want to add these images on top of the current image I use. I want this as I want all the little icons on it. Is there any way to do this? Thank you very much! [link] [comments]

Is there a way to change multiple volumes at a time on iPhone 7? Posted: 06 Mar 2018 05:59 AM PST Hey everyone, so I just got an iPhone 7 after being an android fanboy for years, the phone is great so far but my biggest complaint is there doesn't seem to be a way to change certain volumes individually, for example if I'm in a phone call but I'm watching a video I can only hit the volume to change ALL of my sound as apposed to things like my phone call volume individually, am I missing something? I'm usually on the phone all day so this is a MASSIVE gripe of mine. [link] [comments]
Posted: 06 Mar 2018 05:57 AM PST Which, in your opinion, is the best content blocker for iOS? I'm slowly starting to see ads pop up using AdGuard on certain websites, and some other blockers simply don't work well. I've tried AdGuard and Purify, but what other content blockers do you suggest, both Paid and Free? [link] [comments]
