Lets talk ideas on improving the subreddit Posted: 25 Mar 2018 10:35 AM PDT Hello there! I'm a pretty new moderator here at r/iosgaming and I would love to hear back from the community on some ideas you have about improving the subreddit. This is including, but not limited to:
Some of you may remember the post I made a few months ago regarding changes or improvements to the subreddit, and instead of just implementing what I personally feel, I thought since a few months had passed we would check back and see what you guys thought. At the end of the day, my goal is to help keep the community active, encourage conversation, and above all have a good time! So please feel free to chime in and let us know what you think! EDIT: I will be updating the list below with the changes as each are made, if anymore are implemented. EDIT NUMBER 2: I wouldn't mind doing a game of the week style thing as some of you have mentioned, but how would you like something like that to be implemented? A poll of some kind? I'd love to have something like that that is community based, but not sure how the logistics would work. Please comment if you have any ideas or suggestions!
EDIT NUMBER 4: Back again and updating the post with some new changes today! How about visually about the subreddit, anything you guys think would be nice to update or add?
List of Changes:1. Added two new flair(New Release! and Price Drop!) to the post submission list, searchable like this 2. Added an automatic weekly suggestion/what are you playing thread that will post 8am EST every week on Monday starting tomorrow, March 25 2018. (Please be patient as I am new to the coding aspects of automoderator, if it does not work tomorrow it will be up and running shortly- thank you for your patience!). This thread will not be stickied per request. 4. Added a weekly "what are you playing" and suggestion thread that will be automatically posted by automoderator every Monday morning! 5. I am working on creating a Masterlist of iOS game recommendations! The way this will work is that I will be posting a sticky thread once every few days that lists a genre. Users can then comment on that sticky thread with games, and as long as the games meet some minimum requirements, they will be added to the masterlist complete with a link to the app store. The only prerequisite for the game is that it has to be an iOS game and it has to be updated to work on iOS 11. Once I start to create this Masterlist, I will include a link to it in the sidebar and there will be a link to it in every genre post I make so users can keep an eye on it. Be on the lookout for this as it will be a work-in-progress for quite some time! [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 Mar 2018 08:25 AM PDT Please use this thread to discuss whatever iOS games you've been playing lately. They don't have to be new games, they can be old games and they do not have to be iOS original titles! As long as it's an iOS game it belongs in here. Make sure to put the name(s) of the game(s) in bold to make it easier for people skimming the thread to see what you're talking about, and if you'd like to make it really convenient turn the game name into a hyperlink that sends people to the App Store! Since this thread is likely to fill up quickly, consider sorting the comments by "new" to see the newest posts. [link] [comments]
Friendly hello from Jetpack Joyride devs! Posted: 26 Mar 2018 02:06 AM PDT Hey guys n gals, I work at Halfbrick Studios as a new dev on Jetpack Joyride. Basically, I'm a developer for the mobile game Jetpack Joyride and I'm looking to start actually engaging with the Reddit community more, because there's next to no place for our players to actually discuss specifically the game (outside of gaming subs like this). At this point I'm really looking for feedback from players and to offer them a way to help develop the game with us. So if you're interested, check out our /r/jetpackjoyride subreddit. Or if you have any questions, feel free to ping me. :) [link] [comments]
Completed games you can't delete? Posted: 26 Mar 2018 04:36 AM PDT Hi everyone, which games have you finished, but you can't bring yourself to delete from your device (in case they get an update, or because you want to play them again)? Mine are:

Posted: 26 Mar 2018 03:02 AM PDT My 8 yo kid has been getting into all sorts of military stuff lately, and asked me to find him a military game for the iPad. He wants something naval, shooting torpedoes, ships or submarines, not too bloody but entertaining. I have only one criterion: no ongoing nagging for payments. I'm happy to pay to remove ads, buy the actual game, maybe buy some assets or play levels, but no ongoing need to buy gold, gems, prisms, ammo, oil or any other bullshit. It is surprisingly hard to find anything along these lines in the sea of rubbish that is simulation/arcade section of Apple App Store. Help me out — do you have any recommendations? Space empire Strategy games: Starbase Orion Vs Star Traders 4X empires Posted: 26 Mar 2018 08:17 AM PDT Which one do you prefer more? In what ways do they differ? Any other similar game suggestions? [link] [comments]
How many of you want a case with built in buttons on the back? Posted: 26 Mar 2018 10:04 AM PDT Saw the Gameboy faux-case and some interesting ideas formed. There are several tutorials and DIYers on YouTube showing how to add foil buttons for playing Battle Royale type games. How many of you would want a case that could have buttons on the back or side for use as an MFI controller? Let's say triggers on the corners, and a few more buttons on the back that can be pressed in. Toss your preferences, ideas in the comments. Thanks. [link] [comments]
What’s your favorite Warhammer themed titles? Posted: 26 Mar 2018 08:27 AM PDT I have played a lot of Warhammer games and here are my top 3: Warhammer 40,000: Deathwatch Talisman: The Horus Heresy Warhammer 40,000: Regicide Just bought Warhammer Quest 2. I'm ready for more Warhammer actions! [link] [comments]
Is there a way to add cheats/mods to GTA SA on iOS without a jailbreak? Posted: 26 Mar 2018 03:54 AM PDT Hi all Just wondering if I can somehow get an infinite health cheat on the game on iOS. Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]
Looking for a FREE game that is like a open world (or close to it), not online multiplayer. Posted: 25 Mar 2018 12:12 PM PDT I love games that allow one to roam, upgrade character and the likes. I'm sick of all the games that seem promising but then you have to face online players. I know this seems very odd or broad, but I don't know where else to look. Any suggestions are appreciated! Posted: 25 Mar 2018 09:27 PM PDT Creating a tribe early in the coming release of Ark Mobile. First, answer these questions.

Need a RPG or something to play for a couple of minutes at a time. Posted: 25 Mar 2018 04:12 PM PDT I looking for a rpg that I could play a couple of minutes at a time in between matches of games like Fortnite if I die early or something. Preferably free but it doesn't have to be. [link] [comments]
Legacy Quest Replacement? (Abandoned with iOS 11) Dungeon Crawler like POE / D3 Posted: 25 Mar 2018 07:50 PM PDT Has anyone found anything close to replacing Legacy Quest? Spent so many hours on it before iOS 11. I wish the devs would update it or bring us something new. FYI: It was a dungeon crawler (with armor crafting) like POE or Diablo III [link] [comments]
Looking for a PVE-based game that is constantly updated (f2p) and does NOT have Gacha.... Posted: 25 Mar 2018 02:57 PM PDT
Posted: 25 Mar 2018 06:47 PM PDT With the release of games like Guns of Boom, Modern Combat, and even two legitimate Nazi Zombie games, I really would pay serious money and do some unspeakable things for developers to make the original Call of Duty online mode for iOS. That was my favorite game and it would be very nostalgic. With the graphics and unbelievable mobile game developments in recent years, I really hope popular PC/XBOX/PS games become a thing on iOS. Posted: 25 Mar 2018 05:03 PM PDT Hey everybody! I'm currently working with my team on an app that will allow use of bluetooth controllers for fortnite and pubg. I wanted to hear from you guys what are the most common and highly reviewed MFI controllers. We don't want to include controllers that require jailbreaking (just yet). Thanks for the help! Would you be interested in a mobile-only Twitch channel? Posted: 25 Mar 2018 03:13 PM PDT Hi! I had the idea the other day to create a Twitch channel (@MobileArcade on Twitch) that would serve as a mobile-only game channel (playing everything from the bigger/obvious cross-platform games to the lesser-known hidden gems). I'm constantly on the hunt for the most entertaining mobile games and sifting through all the nonsense on the App Store seems like something that might be more enjoyable with some good company! Here's a preview of the overlay/layout I worked up: https://i.imgur.com/kuOav5u.jpg Is that something you'd be interested in watching? If so, what kind of things would you like to see on stream (specific games, reviews, playthroughs, etc)? [link] [comments] |
