[Request] Tap battery icon to show percentage

    Posted: 14 Feb 2018 08:29 PM PST

I like the battery icon aswell as being able to see the percentage. This could be the solution. It could return to battery icon after 3 seconds. For iphonex/littlex btw.

[HELP] iPhone X freezing out of nowhere forcing you to force restart after Electra

    Posted: 14 Feb 2018 02:36 PM PST

As the title says my X is freezing out of nowhere with no specific patron after using it for a while when in jailbreak mode with Electra... any ideas why is doing that?

[Discussion] iPhone 6S hardware can definitely handle iOS11 with ease. Stop saying it can’t.

    Posted: 14 Feb 2018 06:30 AM PST

My iPhone 8 Plus with low battery mode enabled scored almost the exact numbers of an A9. With LPM enabled on my phone, iOS11 (11.1.2 in this case) is literally as smooth as LPM being off.

Without the battery throttling, the i6 can 100% handle iOS11. So stop going around saying that it's "LITERALLY UNUSABLE".

As requested in this TweakBounty, this tweak adds today's date under the time on the iPhone X.

This tweak is available in 2 sizes:

Size 11 works best with Notchless - Screenshot

Size 13 works best with stock - Screenshot

Hope you all enjoy this tweak!

    -NeinZedd9 <3

    EDIT: As requested, Size 12

EDIT 2: For regions outside of the U.S. where the date is formatted differently, a fix will come by Saturday. I'll update this post when I fix it.

[Request] Tweak for Waze on lock screen similar to stock maps

    Posted: 14 Feb 2018 02:39 PM PST

Not sure if there already is a tweak for this but I like how the stock apple maps shows the directions on your lock screen but I'm not a big fan of Apple maps. Is there a way to make this work with waze?

[Question] Why Redmondpie keeps pretending that downgrade from 11.2.5 to 11.2.1 is possible with blobs?

    Posted: 14 Feb 2018 11:37 PM PST

Edit : I miswrote the title it is 11.1.2 instead of 11.2.1

Each time I read a Redmondpie article about jailbreak it says something like this :

It wasn't that long ago we told you that the iOS 11.2.5 Secure Enclave Processor (SEP) was thankfully compatible with iOS 11.1.2. That discovery was great news for the jailbreak community as it meant that it was possible to downgrade from iOS 11.2.5 to iOS 11.1.2 with the necessary SHSH2 blobs in order to jailbreak using a tool like Electra.

I was already confirmed by other users that's impossible without being jailbroken. Is it still the case? So redmondpie goes wrong or is my English so bad? (I'm French)

    See also

That process was invaluable for those who had moved to iOS 11.2.5, either advertently or inadvertently, and who had their SHSH2 blobs saved, and who wanted to go back from where they came in order to liberate the device using Electra.

[Discussion] sad valentine's day, lost jailbreak on iPad air 2

    Posted: 14 Feb 2018 04:56 PM PST

It was such a sad valentine's day for me. I decided to finally upgrade my iPad air 2 to 11.1.2 from 9.0.2. I had my blobs found some guides and tutorials did my research and said alright it's now or never.

Well right from the get go there were issues. I feel like Bill England is going, "There's your sign" the whole time and I should've given up that day and waited a little. So downloaded and prepped files, shsh blobs, futurerestore, ipsws, extraction, etc. Went to set nonce and it failed... Ok first hiccup so not really a sign.

Well it turns out 9.0.2 on pangu's jailbreak doesn't have tpf0 open, so more research. cl0ver is the tool I need, great since I have both a MacBook Air and a Surface u can use either tools. Terminal inputs, etc. etc. run command, "unsupported device" hmm maybe, "There's your sign." Go through open tickets find someone that actually has the same model as me and siguza supplied him with a possible configuration to use but the guy never answered, figured I should try it. Go for a kernel dump, fail.... Definitely starting to go, "There's your sign" more research open a ticket read closed tickets of some guy running dump 20+ times and finally got it, so I decided to give that a shot with all the kernel panics in between, after 30-40 tried while at work it finally dumps and I'm amazed, ok things are looking brighter!

Kernel Dumped and cl0ver successfully patches. Close ticket post offsets for anyone else in the future to use. Ok, so onto the next step try nonceenabler... It fails.... "There's your sign" dejected time for more research, installed ios-kern-tools earlier find that not just useful to test tpf0. Nvpatch is my answer, run it, success "yes!" airpump and test nvram to set nonce, also success! No holding back now right!?

Time for futurerestore, run terminal command, "invalid command 4" (I think that's what it was)... "There's your sign" on decided to bypass this issue and move over to windows (meanwhile the iPad is already in restore mode). Download windows based programs double check guides, copy files over from the Mac and I'm off, fun the command waiting for apnonce... And it doesn't match.... While doing all the stuff for windows the iPad is rebooting so nonce isn't set... "There's your sign" so how do I get out of this?

More research on getting out of recovery, reiboot is my tool. Run it success, go though the process of opening tpf0, set nonce, and run rupture restore, success, it's running going though the commands... Then it stops... Wait 20 mins and it's still stuck.... "There's your sign" Crap... Ctrl+c and it starts running again(apparently clicking anywhere in the command window causes the thing to pause), phew get to the loading screen on the iPad and it it's not moving..... Wait some time again... No indication.... Ctrl+c, this time break command.... Fuxk....

IPad is in bootloop, reiboot doesn't work, no way to ssh back in through recovery or dfu... Looks like I need to go to 11.2.5 sighs

Moral of the story.. Don't touch the cmd window once you start future restore, don't touch anything just press enter and walk away.

I'm going to go cry in the corner now. Hope everyone else had a wonderful valentine's day!

[Discussion] Successfully upgraded from 9.3.2 to 11.1.2 on iPhone 6+ using Windows FutureRestore fork

    Posted: 14 Feb 2018 03:42 AM PST

Just wanted to leave my experience with using the Windows fork of FutureRestore. This was successfully done on Win10 on a 9.3.2 iPhone 6+.

I used the following guide: Upgrade with iPhone 7 from 10.1.1 to 11.1.2 using Futurerestore Windows Fork

For setting nonce, I used MTerminal (from Cydia) and Siguza's ios-kern-utils. For the Kern utils, you download the deb and install it with iFile or Filza.

Commands I used for setting nonce:

    nvpatch com.apple.System.boot-nonce

    nvram com.apple.System.boot-nonce=<your nonce here>

    Then:

    nvram auto-boot=false

nvram -p (to see whether the nonce had been set correctly and auto-boot disabled)

and finally after setting the futurerestore command(!!!) reboot

Also, I put the shsh2 blob and futurerestore all in one folder (the blob and the exe in the root of the folder), put it on desktop.

Where in the guide it says cd into the directory, I did the following:

    • open command prompt
    • type " cd /d " and then drag n drop the folder into the command prompt. It should say " cd /d <location of the folder> "
    • after hitting Enter, instead of C:\Users\username, it should say the location of the folder.

    And that's it.

I'm not used to reddit formating so it might need some editing. Hope this helps someone out there.

    Edit:

If you somehow get stuck in restore mode, use Reiboot download

[Discussion] G0blin is messing with iOS's multitasking

    Posted: 14 Feb 2018 01:54 PM PST

This is also the reason why battery life is so bad for many people using G0blin.

Hi! With G0blin RC2 some apps remain in the background after they've been closed by pressing the home button. Even with no tweaks installed!

In 3D touch enabled devices, you can partially open the multitasking pressing the left side of the screen. This produces a flick feedback from the haptic engine. When you press with more strength, the multitasking opens fully and the taptic engine gives a Tap feedback. The Tap feedback also occurs when you 3D touch an app's icon.

When the Camera app is open, the response from the taptic engine when you press the left edge of the screen is not activated. This is stock behavior. So far, so good.

Then jailbreak with G0blin RC2 and test the taptic engine, either via pressing left edge of the screen of 3D touching an icon from the homescreen. It works. Now I open the Camera app, go back to the homescreen and try again with 3D touch. The haptic engine probably won't give any more feedback. And this is the bug, the camera app will somehow still be running and also draining battery. Also the torch/flashlight function accessible from the control center won't work.

Anyone else runing into the same issue?

Tl;dr: after jailbreaking with G0blin, apps go on running in the background and they drain battery, a easy method to reproduce the issue is explained.

[Question] Is there a tweak, that deactivates the Passcode automatically, when connected to a secure wifi network?

    Posted: 14 Feb 2018 11:38 AM PST

Hello. As you can see in the title, I am searching for tweak, working on iOS 10.3.3, that allows me to automatically disable the passcode of my device, when I am connected to secure network or Bluetooth device, Because sometimes, the passcode gets little annoying in my opinion, but it's also needed to keep the device secure. So, answers appreciated, have a great day!(or night)
