Posted: 13 Feb 2018 10:40 AM PST Hey, i'm saving up money to get an ipad pro for uni to take notes on and watch videos and stuff on but i'm not sure whether to get the 1st gen ipad pro or the 2nd, I want it to be pretty future proof but im not sure about paying that extra for the new ipad pro, any advice would be appreciated [link] [comments]
Do you write using Pencil on a regular basis? Posted: 13 Feb 2018 11:14 AM PST I've always liked the idea of going paperless since I got my Pro, but there's something about writing on the iPad that has stopped me from adopting it as my main long form writing device. I think it's the feel of the writing in the notes apps I've tried... it just doesn't feel quite right. Do any of you like to write with the Pencil on a regular basis? What's your app and setup of choice? [link] [comments]

Is there a way to zoom out a page on the ipad pro? Posted: 13 Feb 2018 12:40 PM PST I have the 12.9 inch ipad pro (2017) and my uni has a site to watch podcasts of recorded lectures, but i can only view the top lefthand part of the lecture. Is there a way to zoom out to be able to view the entire lecture? I can't seem to find a way, and whenever I try to zoom out it just takes me to all the tabs on safari. I've tried it on the chrome browser, and it doesn't seem to work there either. [link] [comments]
iPad alternative for Notepad++ Posted: 13 Feb 2018 04:45 AM PST I'm looking for an iPad alternative for Notepad++, I'm doing a programming MOOC and I need an app for writing code down on the move. I don't need to compile or run the code, since we submit our exercises through Netbeans which I can do at home. Can you recommend me any apps? Bonus points for: - low cost - split view support [link] [comments]
I have a 12.9" ipad pro 2017 and the dock constantly moves to the middle of the screen. Posted: 13 Feb 2018 08:58 AM PST Its so frustrating. Only a had restart makes it go back to normal and then it just does it again. [link] [comments]

Is it worth getting an iPad Mini 4 now? Posted: 13 Feb 2018 06:31 AM PST I am looking to buy an iPad mini for my son and was considering a refurbished iPad Mini 4. My biggest concern is the performance of the device now. This version of the iPad was last updated in 2015. Are there any current users of the device that can give some perspective on how their model is performing today and if it is still worth the buy? [link] [comments]
iPad recommendation for a musician Posted: 13 Feb 2018 12:54 AM PST I'm the very happy owner of an iPad Pro with pencil. A very good friend of mine is interested in replacing his gen 1 iPad (still working!) with a newer model. I don't think he needs a Pro model but I'm not so sure. He mostly uses his iPad as a media consumption device (videos, movies, comics and games) and to read PDFs (musical scores and the like). He's just told me he would like to have a stylus to mark up scores. I am sure that an iPad pro would do the trick there but what of a non-Pro iPad and a non-Pencil stylus? Does it hold up well enough for marking up PDFs? This is mostly a cost based query. If money is no object, the Pro is the answer. But it kinda is here. What are your thoughts on this? Can an iPad replace printed scores? [link] [comments]

Full Screen iPads End Up Being Some Nice Natural Sizes Posted: 12 Feb 2018 04:31 PM PST The iPad Pro is my over all favourite device bar none. I love consuming content on it like books, web articles and comics, but then also using it for learning and notes with the pencil. I am really excited about rumoured Full Screen iPads this year, and have noticed full screen versions of the current product line hit some really nice sizes. I think we can mostly agree on general wishes: Integrated Pencil holder like that of the AirPods, holds and charges the Pencil, attached to the cases and powered by the 3 dot power. Keyboard cover with adjustable angles. No home button, no more accidentally hitting home while writing with the pencil I'm curious on everyone's thought on sizes. Generally, as a rough measure, a full screen iPad will add ONE inch to the size of an iPad. 12.9" iPad - This is the most straight forward gain. 12.9 plus an inch is 13.9. The diagonal length of a standard 8.5" by 11" piece of paper is 13.9". The true full sized paper iPad The rest of the line becomes more of a mystery. I have some theories though: The 7.9" iPad mini could become an 9" screen. If we make it a bit bigger, like when Apple went from the 9.7" ipad to the 10.5" iPad, the "mini" could end up with the same screen size as the regular iPad at 9.7". So thats my guess on why we haven't seen a mini upgrade. It is going to become slightly bigger, become full screen, and eventually end up replacing the normal iPad. The regular 9.7" iPad then eventually fades into the sunset, in a few years. The 10.5" ipad becomes an 11.5" iPad. Why is this important? This is a bit of a stretch, but then at this point the screen sizes matches the legendary smaller MacBook Air 11", and is close to the current Macbook 12". The workhorse iPad hits the screen size that lot of people consider minimum size for more "serious" work. As Jony Ive said when the iPhone X was released, they have been wanting full screen devices since the start. I bet they chose the current sizes of the iPads partially because of what they become when full size. [link] [comments]

Looking for advice on a new iPad Posted: 12 Feb 2018 08:51 PM PST So I have an iPad 4 and it is time for a new iPad. So i am looking at the new iPad 9.7 and the iPad Pro 10.5. Should I just stick with the regular iPad or make the jump to the Pro? [link] [comments]
No shortcuts on Smart Keyboard Posted: 12 Feb 2018 05:35 PM PST Why? There should be one shortcut for pause/play and for searching inside the app( like the command+L in Safari. [link] [comments]
Posted: 12 Feb 2018 03:33 PM PST I just switched my iPhone for an android. Is my iPad no longer able to use iMessage or text? Sorry if this is simple... fairly new to iPads [link] [comments]
Best third party music player apps for iPad? Posted: 12 Feb 2018 08:32 PM PST I'm looking for a third party app to replace the Music app in the iPad, and I wanted to know what everyone's recommendations are. I would like to be able to move music files into the app, which is not supported in the Music app for iOS. [link] [comments] |
