Posted: 14 Feb 2018 05:43 AM PST I bought the iPad Pro 10.5" the week that it came out, and I still love it as much as I did the day I bought it. The problem is that I still haven't found a case that I love. With my iPad Air, I had the Apple leather smart case that covered the back - and the front. Why you can't buy this case for the 10.5, I'll never understand (yes, I realize it would cover the smart connector, but I don't need access to that). I've used the smart cover (but am nervous about the back being exposed), and I've used a bulky case that could protect it in the harshest conditions. What I'm curious about is what you're all using to protect your iPad Pro. I don't need maximum protection, but a little more than the smart cover would be preferable. [link] [comments]  | ||

| Recent decrease in iPad Pro 12.9 touchscreen sample rate? Posted: 13 Feb 2018 05:52 PM PST I have a 2 year old original 12.9" iPad Pro running on the most recent iOS (11.2.5) and have noticed what looks like a marked decrease in the sample rate of the touchscreen since sometime in January. Until January the device has worked wonderfully. The apparent sampling reduction reveals itself when I keep notes by hand (I have used GoodNotes 4 for many years). I see it as I write letters and they fail to trace out with my hand. For example, I'll trace a C and the screen fails to sample fast enough to see the full sweep of the curve, resulting in the curve getting cut and a shallow C. I get similar issues with other letters, where the full sweep of my hand movements are not recorded, resulting in short letters or curves getting cut. I also see it very obviously where I trace circles and they become transformed to something more like a polygon as the sample rate is not fast enough to produce a visual curve. It has forced me to slow down my handwriting to make sure my writing is accurately recorded. I am using the same stylus I've used for a long time (basic Boxwave mesh stylus, which I recommend). Posted: 13 Feb 2018 06:17 PM PST If you haven't found a screen extender that works best for you or don't want to pay for one, I would recommend spacedesk! I use it to have websites up on my iPad while I can write notes with my Surface Pro. You are able to extend screens and duplicate screens over wifi. Just thought this might help someone out because it sure has been a lifesaver for me. [link] [comments]  | ||
