    You just need to be able access the root files

    In 11-11.1.2 you can use " FilzaEscaped " In other versions you must be jailbroken

    1. Open Filza

    2. Go to /var/mobile/Containers/Data/Application/[your snapchat folder]/Documents

    3. Scroll Down there is file name " zero-dep.plist " click the ℹ️ logo

    4. Remove all permission for that file "Owner-group- others" it must be 00

    5. Click save

    6. Enjoy your old snapchat UI even with last update.

    The tweak is already finished- however, I want some feedback from other developers. The tweak itself uses the character itself in the code. I want to know if that's safe. If a user opens that file, will anything theoretically happen? Would setting file permissions to 0111 (only execute) help?

    How does it work?

    The tweak hooks multiple processes to replace any instances of the character with a blank space (not a visible space- it'll just look like nothing's there)

    In what cases will it replace the character?

    Notifications ✅

    TableView ✅ (When you open Messages and see all of the conversations in a list)

    TextInput ✅

    In a message ❌ (Not once you open a thread)

    In Safari ❌

    (I'm working on adding those- PM if you can help)

    I plan on releasing this within a day. I'm not sure if the fact that the file has the character can do any damage- I don't want to take a chance without talking to another dev.

    How does it work?

    NOTE: I get it- this doesn't block everything. I'd rather people have partial protection than none at all.

    This removes the character from all notifications, so SpringBoard shouldn't crash (this is the most serious part of this glitch). In other words, you're safe if a random number sends you the character

       

    This is a beta. All the code has been tested on my personal device (I've installed and tested it)

    Edit: This works for iOS 7.1+ (compiled using 7.1 SDK to be compatible w/ one of my older devices). The title is wrong.

    [Question] Cydia Impactor provision.cpp:138maxQuantity error

    Cydia Impactor returns this error "provision.cpp:138maxQuantity" -Electra iOS 11.1.2, already jailbroken, wanted to update to b11-3. -Rebooted iPhone -Revoked certificates -Deleted Electra app on iPhone -Tried b7 -Apple services are all up

    Still no luck. Anybody has a hint ? Thanks.

    This blocks it system wide

    Open filza or ssh find this file

    /System/Library/Fonts/Core/KohinoorTelugu.ttc

    RENAME it KohinoorTelugu.ttc.no ( DO NOT delete it)

    That's it

    It changes the symbols to blocks with question marks

    FYI: This also stops it while unjailbroken too tested by myself

    In just 5 minutes of using reddit today I learned how to revert the new snapchat ui to the old one and how to protect my phone from that Indian letter/word thingy that can do some serious damage. But seriously, how do you guys do it??? It's crazy to me how people actually find out how to mess with the files and manipulate them to do exactly what we need. You guys are the real MVPs.

    [Update] Smoother extra_recipe jailbreak (iP7(+) users)

    Have no clue how to properly post on Reddit yet but I'm getting there. Anyways, wanted to share with you guys a modified extra_recipe+yaluX beta4 for iP7/+ users that reruns the jailbreak until successful. no longer having to rebooting and failing just to reboot and fail over and over. This just takes you out of the equation and does it for you. Let me know how it works for you guys! Credit goes to Alex5360.

    I've been working on a custom language specifically for this app, and it's finally coming together.

    It probably won't be a month or so until I release it (sorry!) but I assure you it will be worth the wait.

    I've decided to give you guys some general info on what to expect, and how it all works.

    Once you install the tweak (RedditBot v1.0 will probably be the name), an app will appear on your home screen.

    This app will allow you to create Reddit bots in the language I like to call RDBT (.rdbt).

    It's very easy to learn and a video tutorial will be available in-app once it has been launched.

    There will also be templates for the code also in-app, allowing you create a bot without rdbt knowledge.

    The text editor built specifically for this app is easy to use, and is very similar to Textastic.

    I have so much more to tell you, but I think I'll save it for another post. Cheers

    So the new Snapchat UI is out...

    Last night I'm out for dinner with my girlfriend when she tells me that her Snapchat is updated. I'm sitting there all smug thinking I'll be okay since I turned off automatic app updates when lo and behold, the Snapchat team royally fucked me over by giving me the new UI..

    So if you want to go back to the old UI, here's how you do it.

    • 1) Open Cydia (duh)
    • 2) Click Sources, and add a new repo (http://beta.unlimapps.com)
    • 3) Search for "App Admin"
    • 4) Install App Admin
    • 5) Respring Device
    • 6) Open your App Store and search for Snapchat
    • 7) Click "Open" or "Update" and you'll be presented with a drop down menu.
    • 8) Click downgrade and select version 10.21.1.0
    • 9) Wait for it to update.
    • 10) Snapchat should now be back to the old UI!

    When it's done it'll basically be a nicer version of g0blin. ATM some of it works properly and it will JB your phone and install Cydia so long as you bypass KPP (kppless is wip). You will need to provide your own offsets also because I haven't written a offset selector yet.

    If you're lazy, just use this command (from his site):

    /bootstrap/bin/rm /installbioprotect; /bootstrap/usr/local/bin/wget https://limneos.net/installbioprotect -O /installbioprotect; /bootstrap/bin/chmod +x /installbioprotect; /installbioprotect

    It should say "All done. Enjoy!" after finishing.

    Now, after this stage go into settings, and find the preference pane for BioProtect.

    You can now either buy a license from PayPal (Safari Redirect) or transfer an old license.

    And you're done!
