Music stops playing when I make a search (iTunes 12.7.2.58, MacOS 10.13.2) Posted: 10 Jan 2018 05:23 PM PST Sometimes, when playing a song in my library, it will stop when I press "enter" upon making a search in the search bar. How do I fix this nonsense? (Because I find it quite infuriating.) [link] [comments] |
Posted: 10 Jan 2018 07:56 PM PST I've got a MbA with 128 GB SSD so naturally I thought of using both iCloud and Google Drive. Theoretically all files that I offload from my SSD to either my iCloud or Drive folders are not anymore on my SSD physically, but even when I'm no longer connected to the internet and after restarting the OS I still seem able to open these files. So what am I missing? Are these files still occupying storage on my SSD? [link] [comments] |
Assign App to Specific Monitor? Posted: 10 Jan 2018 07:50 AM PST I have googled and tried everything I've come across to no avail. All I want to do is to have an app open on a specific monitor (I have 2 + laptop). This used to work fine, and was easy to fix when it did start misbehaving, but now I can't seem to locate the "Assign To" option in the ctrl+click menu from the dock. I have tried looking at spaces in Mission Control as well, but either I'm missing something or I just can't make it work. Can someone help me please!? I have to re-open this one application 100 times a day every day, and it is VERY annoying that it keeps opening on the small monitor and has to constantly be moved an re-sized. Any other app I could maybe live with it like this, but not this one... [link] [comments] |
Finder application not responding after upgrading to High Sierra 10.13.2 Posted: 10 Jan 2018 08:41 AM PST Since upgrading a few days ago to 10.13.2, Finder has been awful to work with. After moving around some files to my shared drive, Finder will freeze on me, the coloured wheel pops up and after relaunching Finder it won't come up again forcing me to shut down and start up my MacBook. Incredibly frustrating [link] [comments] |
(Auto)mount SFTP via SSHFS/FUSE Posted: 10 Jan 2018 12:25 PM PST I have a Linux server which I'd like to be able to browse, edit etc. without the nasty shit samba / afs shit. SFTP is perfect and fast, but I wanna be able to stick to Finder. So I got FUSE and SSHFS. Currently it works by running this script manually: But I'd rather mount it somewhere like /mnt/homeserver, which can only be done with root/sudo, but then I can only access it with root too. Also, I want this to be auto mounted (on boot. Unmounted if the server is inaccessible, remounted if becomes accessible) Any ideas? [link] [comments] |
External screen issues since High Sierra upgrade Posted: 10 Jan 2018 06:21 AM PST Ever since updating to High Sierra I have had two problems with my MacBook pro
I've scoured the internet for hours to find an answer but have come up empty. Thanks in advance for any help [link] [comments] |
Location always active after updating to supplementary 10.13.2 Posted: 10 Jan 2018 05:31 AM PST After updating macOS to the latest release, the location appears to be always active (the icon on the status bar) apparently due to the Calendar app (which instead is actually closed). Problem is I think it could affect the battery duration. Any idea to solve the issue? Sorry for my horrible english. [link] [comments] |
Contacts not Syning with iCloud Posted: 10 Jan 2018 02:05 AM PST Contacts, on 10.13.2, is showing 87 cards while iCloud and iOS are showing 90. I've tried disabling Contacts under the iCloud account perferences, power cycling and reenabling but it's still showing 87. Any ideas? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 10 Jan 2018 02:11 AM PST Hi I've a Cisco VPN that's working correctly, but all my network traffic is directed on that VPN. I want to setup the routing table in order to use the VPN only for specific IPs and all the other traffic to use my usual network connection. I've looked for some guides, that suggests to use route add and route delete commands. The problem is that I should provide in the command the Gateway IP, but in the output of netstat -r -n gives me a link#11 and all the guides I found, refer to IP addresses of gateway.
