Does anyone else miss the Game Center app? Posted: 18 Jan 2018 08:03 PM PST I know Game Center is still a thing, but I REALLY miss the actual app. It served as a hub for all the gaming I do on my iPhone. The app gave iOS a PlayStation Network/Xbox Live feel. It was a place where you could see your overall Game Center achievement score, see what your friends are playing, etc. I'm hoping someday Apple brings it back. It definitely wasn't perfect, a lot of games don't even utilize Game Center, but as a hardcore gamer (mobile and console) I really appreciated it. Does anyone else miss the app? Or was it just another icon clogging up your home screen? [link] [comments]

[Followup] iPhone + MFi + HDMI = Console? Posted: 18 Jan 2018 11:16 PM PST Following on from my post iPhone + MFi + HDMI = Console? someone asked me what the latency was like playing via HDMI. I made a video showing the low latency for this setup. It's at a very acceptable 7ms (inc 5ms of the monitor itself). Here it is - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AmQqVlAo9To [link] [comments]
Any village building games without timers? Posted: 18 Jan 2018 02:21 PM PST Are there any village/empire building games games where you start off from scratch and need to build up. But gameplay is more focused on stats vs timers. Something alongs the lines of allocating stats and workers to produce items to build up your village. Allowing you the freedom to build how you like. Not just build this hut, wait an hour, now you can build tier 2 hut and wait 3 hours now. Im looking for something base more on strategy then just waiting patiently for timer/energy to be used. Posted: 18 Jan 2018 11:54 AM PST I have been checking in every now and then to see when OSRS would be released on mobile and have seen it go from December to January to just "2018". Is there any update/rumor on when it will actually come out? [link] [comments]
Co-operative multiplayer game I can play with my 7 year old Posted: 18 Jan 2018 12:34 PM PST Wondering if anyone knows of any co-operative games I can play with my 7 year old. Ideally one I can play on my iphone while he plays on an ipad. Does something like this even exist? [link] [comments]

Suggested fighting games that don’t require complex combo memorization and are premium/fair? Posted: 18 Jan 2018 03:40 PM PST I enjoy fighting games more in the vein of Smash Bros that don't require memorization of complex button combos a la Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat. These kinds of combos are especially hard to input reliably via touchscreen. I really enjoyed the gameplay of Marvel Contest of Champions, but the grindy F2P monetization model really just ruined that game for me. All the crystals and coins and random lotteries, where you do well until you inevitably run into someone with a 5 star character and there's no way you can hope to win. I don't mind paying for a premium game, but I don't want to constantly spend money/hours on random lottery events hoping I finally get a good character. Essentially - are there any premium / fairer fighting games with similar mechanics, in that they're not based on memorization of complex button combos? I'm not as in touch with the iOS gaming scene as I was a few years ago. Thanks! [link] [comments]

Any games similar to desert strike? Posted: 18 Jan 2018 07:22 PM PST For those that don't know desert strike, it's like a top down helicopter shooting game. It's more of an open world roaming. Take out bases. Rescue friendlies. I can't seem to find anything close. [link] [comments] |
