Apple TV 4K Remote Dying Quickly
Anybody else wish the TV App on the ATV worked in concert with the TV App on their IOS device, so one could navigate "Watch Next" on the IOS device and have it launch the movie on the ATV (no, I don't mean Airplay)

Can someone check if Clear from Play History works in their TV app?

Is there a way to see the resolution of YouTube HD videos on an Apple TV 3? They don't look like 1080p to me but rather like 720p upscaled to 1080p perhaps. I compare to my PC which displays them at 1080p.

I've had an Apple TV 4 and now I have the 4K version. My remote on the 4th generation used to last months, but the 4K remote seems to be dying much faster.

It lasted about a month on full charge, and 2 days ago I recharged it and today I got a notification to charge it again.

What could be causing this? It's driving me mad.

Its a lot easier to research a movie on an IOS device (e.g. check out rotten tomatoes / imdb etc.) and add it to the "Watch Next" queue ... would be great if we could also trigger the Apple TV to start playing the movie.

AirPlay iOS/tvOS 11 not working from Safari

Used to be able to airplay any video from safari anytime to my Apple TV. Now, my old iPad on iOS10 and my iPhone on iOS11 won't airplay certain things to the Apple TV. What gives?

Can someone check if Clear from Play History works in their TV app?

In the tv app if you long press on an item in Up Next, it will let you mark it as watch but also clear it from play history if you so like.

On mine I click it but nothing happens. Can people please confirm if this works for people on this subreddit. Thank you so much and I hope this post isn't against the rules.

Fixed my ATV4 - Plex issue

I was finding that my ATV would not play many movies in Plex that my Roku would. I figured it out this morning and want to share. In Plex settings on the ATV I turned off "direct play" and now the same movies that wouldn't work now do. Direct play on my Roku works fine.
