How to force close an app to close on iPhone X?

    Posted: 06 Dec 2017 07:14 PM PST

On the iPhone 8 you can hold the power button down for 5 seconds, then hold the home button down for 5 seconds. That causes the app to force close and jump back to the home screen. But the only way I can do this on the iPhone X is by pressing volume up, volume down, side button, slide to turn off. This works but the phone needs to reboot, I want to do the same thing but just close the app and jump back to the home screen.

    Setting up Apple Pay Cash

    Posted: 06 Dec 2017 10:29 PM PST

Anyone else have trouble setting up Apple Pay Cash? It keeps telling me that my Apple ID doesn't support two factor authentication. But I already have it enabled in my settings. Any suggestions?

iPhone SE keeps popping password screen today

    Posted: 06 Dec 2017 07:31 PM PST

When the phone is idle with screen off or when I'm using it, it keeps popping the password screen about once every 1.5 minutes.

I seen a standardish loading animation (looks like this https://i.stack.imgur.com/AYhIi.png against a black background) and then it demands my passcode.

One thing updated last night, Uber -- which I deleted (never use it anyone). I've updated everything because I saw someone having a similar issue with an iPad. Apparently a program calling a feature that's not fully supported can sometimes trigger the lock screen.

I've restarted multiple times today and left it off for hours because it's as warm as it gets when I'm actively using it for a long period of time.

Can anyone offer any other suggestions?

I'm running iOS 11.03 and haven't updated in a while (little lazy) and now I'm scared to while it's doing this. I don't want to brick my phone.

I don't download suspicious things or visit like piracy websites. I know fake virus warnings and everything else.

I haven't downloded or recieved any files recently that I can recall.

My computer (Windows-OS) hasn't even been connected to the phone in weeks either.

iPhone 6 is showing full 4g LTE, but not getting internet on certain apps.

    Posted: 06 Dec 2017 01:10 PM PST

I have an iPhone 6 that has had a history of tech issues. It's been good for the most part recently save for the fact that there is some underlying problems with the motherboard (limited WiFi, Bluetooth range). The last few days it's shows that I have full connectivity to 4G (I have unlimited data), but won't let me access certain apps. Spotify won't play, Reddit won't load, and some websites won't load. However some others work okay, but definitely slower, like Instagram and Snapchat. I'm not getting notifications either.

I've done a hard reset, reset network settings, tried airplane mode a million times, let the battery drain...basically everything that I'm aware of that I could do.

Does anybody know what could be the problem/solution? Thanks.

Apps Continually Logging Me Out - How to Fix?

    Posted: 06 Dec 2017 02:55 PM PST

I've done a google search and apparently this was an issue last year and around March & April of this year and no one ever figured out a solution.

It never happened to me until the past few weeks: my apps all log me out a few times a day. Some will stay logged in and some will log me out as soon as I close them.

This was NEVER an issue until recently as I used to go months and even years without being logged out of my apps.

It is causing me to lose a lot of information as some apps delete things when you log out.

    I have an iPhone 7.

How do I stop this from happening?!

    Music won't play

    Posted: 06 Dec 2017 06:11 PM PST

I have an iPhone 6s plus running iOS 11.2 and whenever I try to play my music, when I push the play button it will glitch out and cycle between the paused and play buttons and will always end up paused. I have hard reset and soft reseted my phone and closed out of the music app, but that's all I tried.

    Bluetooth connection issue. Spinning wheel

    Posted: 06 Dec 2017 04:36 PM PST

    iOS 11.2 - 7+

Suddenly lost connection to my Bluetooth headset this evening. Now all Bluetooth connections are lost and it's impossible for me to switch it back on.

All I get is a grey spinning wheel under settings for Bluetooth. Funny thing is I've still got the icon in the top right corner, but under settings it says off.

Followed all the guides I've found so far, yet nothing seems to fix it. This smells like a hardware issue, yet I was curious to see if there was perhaps a suggestion out there I haven't tried.

I've: restarted device, hard rebooted device, restart network settings and also deleted pairing manually, but resetting network actually took care of that for me anyways.

iOS 11.2 so no new updates available either for my 7plus.

    4s keeps crashing

    Posted: 06 Dec 2017 02:09 PM PST

I am using an iPhone 4s running iOS 7.1.2. My phone has become increasingly slow, probe to freezing and crashing. Safari and Facebook are both prone to this, and anytime I go between aps, my phone closes and resets the first ap. it's so bad by now my phone feels unusable much of the time.

The phone has been dropped, and the reverse glass is cracked, and there are dead pixels on the screen. The problem started before the dead pixels. I'm not sure exactly when it began.

I've tried restring the phone to a backup, but it didn't help. What can I do?

Are Google AUTH codes stored inside an iOS backup (encrypted) file?

    Posted: 06 Dec 2017 02:05 PM PST

Recently had to restore my iPhone, causing to lose my GAUTH and its stored codes. I have some backups and I just put one on it, but GAUTH is empty. Is this suppose to happen or should codes which were in it, be available (or are they even inside the backup?)?

Messages showing up across two iPhones, numbers unchecked

    Posted: 06 Dec 2017 09:38 AM PST

My mom and I have always shared an Apple account so that we could share music. Well, recently, our pictures have started showing up on each other's phone through iCloud, and I read that you could fix this by changing the iCloud account to something separate from the Apple account. So I logged out on her phone, but they must have taken away this feature, and I ended up just turning off iCloud for photos on my device. Well, this morning, she starts getting all my text messages. We both went in to the send and receive setting to uncheck the others number, as this has happened before, but the numbers aren't checked on either of our phones.

iPhone 7 Plus glitching but only when on cellular network?!

    Posted: 06 Dec 2017 08:27 AM PST

For the last week or so I have been having an issue with my iPhone 7plus. My carrier is US Cellular, and to be clear, this issue occurred prior to me doing the most recent update as well as after. When I am at home on my home network, nothing happens, everything works fine as it has since I got the phone about a year ago. But the second I turn wifi off or I leave the home network, the phone basically goes haywire, with selections being made as though I'm tapping the screen. This continues for the majority of time I'm away from wifi and I'm unable to use my device at all. It doesn't seem concentrated in any certain area of the screen, it's all over. At one point it pulled down the search bar and typed in Hubble, and it almost always attempts to open my bank app and my password and security app. I've tried the basic fixes to no avail, and the only way I can get around it is to keep my phone off while I'm away from home. Has anyone experienced something like this before? Thanks in advance for any input- it is much appreciated.
