[Beta] tweakCompatible 0.0.4 - Testers needed

    Posted: 31 Dec 2017 07:28 PM PST

    Hey All,

I'm looking for beta testers before I push this new version to bigboss.

For those who don't know, this tweak pulls community reviews from https://jlippold.github.io/tweakCompatible/ and integrates them into cydia, so you can know whether a tweak works on other devices before you install it.

    Changelog

    • Faster loading
    • Adds support and separate ratings for 32bit devices
    • Redesigned web UI
    • Integrates directly into cydia's package details page

    Screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/AXZUy

If anyone installs this from an iPhone, do you mind sending me a couple screenshots, so I can use it in my depictions? I'm on an iPhoneX so I cant test this myself.

    Link to deb: https://github.com/jlippold/tweakCompatible/releases/download/0.0.4a/bz.jed.tweakcompatible_0.0.4_iphoneos-arm.deb

    Thanks for the help

[Tip] Fix "iOS Firmware >= X.X" Error in Cydia

    Posted: 31 Dec 2017 09:02 PM PST

Recent jailbreaks such as Saigon apparently have an issue where, upon installing certain tweaks, the user will get a dependency error saying "iOS Firmware >= X.X", with X being the tweak's required iOS version.

To fix this, run the following command. You can do this in two different ways: over SSH or as root in MTerminal (su).

    > /usr/libexec/cydia/firmware.sh

Once the command is done running, you're set. Simply kill Cydia in the app switcher, open it up, and install the affected tweak(s).

Hope this helped, and Happy New Year!

(Note that if you're getting this after a modification of SystemVersion.plist, you must revert back to your original SystemVersion.plist. And if any of these fixes don't work, it's very likely that the tweak you're trying to install simply isn't compatible with your iOS version.)

[Question] my gf updated my phone.

    Posted: 31 Dec 2017 03:34 AM PST

Hey guys, I was on 10.3.x and hype for the jailbreaks coming out, but my gf wanted me to see the emojis she sends me. So she updated my phone in my sleep. Am I able to revert this? I don't think I have saved blobs. Am I screwed? Im on the SE

Edit: I have a 5c on iOS 9.3.4. Should I update it to jailbreak it or keep it as is?

[Meta] iOS 11 Jailberk Shitpost Storm

    Posted: 31 Dec 2017 06:26 PM PST

I was really hoping that iOS 11.1.2 users were going to have a surprise by the end of 2017, a full working jailbreak like we've seen recently with iOS 10.x. And if we don't, that's fine, it's just how it goes, nobody owns us anything etc. But I just wasn't expecting all these shitpost pranks about ios11 JB. It's just sad and disappointing.

[Release] CydiaXI - a fresh iOS 11-styled look for Cydia.

    Posted: 31 Dec 2017 02:00 PM PST

EDIT: OK IN MAKING THE LABELS SMALL

    Hey, jailbreakers! It's 00:00 AM, January 1st, 2K18.

First of all: Happy new year, everyone!

Second, I'd like to make you a present. CydiaXI is released!

To install CydiaXI, simply open Cydia, add the cydiaxi.at.ua source, and install the CydiaXI package! Than, let Cydia crash (it's fine if it doesn't though, that's something random) and open it again to see the difference!

    Changes

I think that before installing, you'd like to see what was changed... Here you go:

    • Title labels were made big, bold and left aligned, just like in iOS
    • Left buttons were also hidden everywhere instead of the "Sources" section. There, only the text was hidden. If you click the area where the button is located, you'll be able to refresh the sources, or add a new one.

    • Navigation icons were made more iOS 11-ish. These were designed by EvenD3V, be sure to give him a follow. Without him, CydiaXI wouldn't be possible.

    • The homepage was redesigned to look more like the App Store. It's "Featured" tab items aren't functional as I couldn't find a way to redirect to a package, but in new releases that is going to be changed! Also, featred only has 4 items for now... In new releases, we'll implent all the popular tweaks there. Again, thanks to EvenD3V for his designs!

    • The loading page was redesigned to show a "Cydia" text and a iOS 11-ish Cydia logo.

    • The topbar buttons were remade to have a blue transparent background, just like the iOS 11 App Store "FREE" and "Purchase" buttons.

    • And more to come! In 2K18 we're going to make the homepage better, redesign the tweak installation and install confirmation pages. This is just the beginning...

    Additional info

This tweak is compatible with all the iOS devices on iOS 7 - 10. It will be compatible with iOS 11, when saurik releases his substrate fix. If the tweak doesn't work for you, try updating Cydia. Also, if you find it impossible to login into your Cydia account: click the Cydia logo on the home page, and you'll be redirected to the login. The source code is available here, though it might be outdated for some time (as I'm posting this right now but essing with the source later). Also: this tweak depends on Cydia Substrate.

    Screenshots

Here's an album with all the images.

    PSA: there's no PSA.

[Question] Anyone else not receiving delayed snaps?

    Posted: 31 Dec 2017 06:56 PM PST

Currently on iOS 9.3.3 using Snapchat version 10.22.0 (the latest one that still available for iOS 9). I'm also using Snap+. At like 7pm today, my snapchat began acting up. Every time i received a notification, it'd take several minutes (even hours) for the snap to finally show up in my feed. And I don't receive messages on snapchat whatsoever. Anyone else experiencing similar issues?

Edit: Anyone else receiving delayed snaps. Sucks that you cant edit titles.

[Discussion] Concerning Pangu, Kpp/Kpp-less, and cydia

    Posted: 31 Dec 2017 10:35 AM PST

Disclaimer: this is NOT in any way asking for a release or anything of the sort, this is merely speculation on their work.

When Pangu (and other teams) demoed their jailbreak, do you guys think they had memory prot bypasses for the x and all, or do you think they did essentially what we've done with Ian Beer's work? If they found those capabilities, do you think there's still a chance we might discover them?

[HELP] is there an alternative to PwnTunes for iOS 10.2.1?

    Posted: 31 Dec 2017 02:12 PM PST

I really use this tweak a lot, and it has saved me many hours of songs being deleted by iTunes. Is there an option on this version? It's a tweak that allows one to bypass iTunes by making the music folder on the iPhone visible on a computer when plugged in.

[Question] Is it possible to bypass jailbreak detection by dual-booting into a non-jailbroken iOS?

Edit: It's for those apps that can't be bypassed by Liberty, tsProtector, xCon, and others.
