- Recently broke my 11Pro & had to install my backup to a 7+ a friend let me have. He didn’t remember the old iCloud password to turn off Find any iPhone, so I had to use DFU to reset it. Now when I double tap the home button, this is what my screen looks like. Anyone know why or how to fix it?

| Posted: 08 May 2022 08:48 PM PDT I don't know what the fuck is going on, but it's like my phone is slowly removing it's features It started with me not being able to take screenshots, then I couldn't send photos in apps or even allow the app to do so, then it removed every single one of my contacts and now won't let me make new ones, it even deleted the whole ass contact section itself, suddenly I can't make any calls, now I can't delete any apps on my phone, and stuff just crashes randomly I don't know what the fuck to do, and I don't know if it's a mega-glitch or some kind of virus Oh, and don't mention restarting it, because it won't even let me do that, no matter how long I hold down the volume up and shut off button at the same time, the slider to restart it just doesn't come up It's an IPhone XR, by the way, I've had it for roughly two years [link] [comments] | ||

My wife's previous iPhone 8 was the same. We got her a new SE and pressing home IMMEDIATELY unlocks. Where is/are the setting/s that allow for tap to wake but not unlock? I've looked up various solutions and they show me to third party downloads like iMyPhone and I bought that one but it did not recover all of the photos and I don't know how to transfer photos from PC to Iphone. I guess I'm asking if there are any alternative ways that I can recover my photos. I have iCloud and my phone is backed if that helps. Posted: 08 May 2022 09:25 AM PDT Hey, When connecting my iPhone to PC to transfer some slow mo videos, I can only see the AAE files in the browser, but no MOV files. Does anyone know how ti fix this? Thanks a bunch! Edit: solved, the file was too large so apparently it doesn't even show in the browser then. Splicing it up to smaller videos did the trick, the files (both MOV and AAE) showed up. | IPhone won’t charge no matter what Posted: 08 May 2022 02:23 PM PDT So randomly starting yesterday my phone wouldn't charge when plugged into my outlet. I tried multiple different chargers, multiple different outlets and I even tried cleaning out my phones charging port. My charging port looks fine There's no dirt in it or anything. I also tested my chargers with other iPhones and they all charged fine. Despite all of that my phone wouldn't charge. I really don't know how to fix this. I added The Babylon Bee, which I've never read before, about a week ago and have read maybe 3 or 4 of their funny articles. When clicking on one of their "stories" in the app it opens a page to their website for you to read. Whenever I'm done with any apps or stories or whathaveyou I force close everything to sustain battery life. Well, today I got my screen time report and it's through the roof. My screen time ranges from 2-4 hours daily, but today it says 7hrs. When I checked my daily report it shows The Babylon Bee website is running all day, every day. I've tried to set a time limit for this page, I've tried clearing my browser history and cookies, even deleted the Truth app but it still shows thebabylonbee.com is still running!! When I was responding to someone/something, I used to be able to hold down my finger on the keyboard and drag it to a specific spot in my response (between letters, beginning of word, etc.) only now on this new phone I can't do that at all. Now I have bought an iPhone XS as a secondary device via eBay. The device should simply have the function that I just have a phone that can take times on vacation or just try something. Now the seller had already told me that the iPhone is in great condition. Only the battery had been replaced 3 months ago. The battery was also not installed by an authorized dealer or Apple. This is also displayed by the iPhone in the settings. Okay, I can live with. Here is my problem: I think that the screen was also changed, concealed the change of the display from me to get more money. How do I figure this out? There is no longer the True Tone option in the display settings. Also, it seems to me that the display is a bit less accurate than the display of the iPhone 13. Of course, this may just be paranoia. Now the question is: Can True Tone also be deactivated if only the battery has been replaced? Or do the display settings only refer to the display? Would be great if one of you experts could help. | Phone won’t connect to network Posted: 08 May 2022 11:11 AM PDT I have an iPhone 12 Pro which decided to stop connecting to the mobile network on Friday. It's not the SIM card since I have a work phone on the same network and swapped the SIMs over, both SIMs work in the other phone and neither in my phone. I have turned flight mode on and off, manually selected the network, restarted the phone, shut down and turned it back on, checked for an update to the network settings, reset the network settings, reset all settings, put it in recovery mode and used iTunes to reset it and put it in DFU mode and reset with iTunes. I expect I've exhausted everything that could be done with the software to try to fix it, but is there anything I've missed? [link] [comments] | ||
| SE crash - Have any of you experienced something similar? Posted: 08 May 2022 03:18 AM PDT I had an SE2 that shut down and never turned back on, and the home button was unresponsive as well. I took it to the service, and was told that it was about the motherboard and that it would be much cheaper to just replace the phone. I didn't protest much because it was a used one, so I figured something might have been faulty in the first place yadda yadda yadda, ended up getting an SE3. Lo and behold, the exact same thing happened like less than a month later. Except this time, it happened when I was using it. I was texting and had google maps working in the background. It asked me to join a network, so I just disabled wifi and continued using 4G, then suddenly it was lights off. I tried the standard stuff like force reboot and such to no avail. I get nothing from connecting it to a MacBook, don't even get the apple logo. Having the same thing happen back to back, I don't think it's a hardware issue anymore. I am afraid something I do or some of the apps I use might be causing a software crash, but can't think of anything unusual :( Hopefully I'll be able to get a replacement since it's fairly new. But I was wondering if anyone might have any insights on what might be happening. Do you think it could be related to iOS15? [link] [comments] | ||

There's a number of things on the iPhone 7 that he would like to save--photos, messages, etc that he might need at some point in the future (he's a business owner--never sure what might be needed in the future) and I'd like to save a complete back up of the phone before I factory reset it. If I switch the device that shares my location to my old iPhone will they get notified that I switched devices? The reason is I want some privacy and to go out without having to explain myself so I want to switch my location to my old phone and leave it at home then go do regular stuff like go to the gym and get food etc. We don't live together anymore but we live close by and they're very intrusive. | Fitness Apps Not Working With Apple ID Posted: 08 May 2022 07:09 AM PDT Several fitness apps will not work on my iPhone, including peloton, fitness app, health app, watch app, and tips app. When I try to open the apps, it looks like the app tries to open (shows the logo on the screen), but it just stops there. I also cannot delete any of these apps. I've tried wiping my phone completely and restoring from backup, wiping the phone and setting it up as a new phone, unpaired and repaired my Apple Watch, and even bought an entirely new iPhone 13 pro (set up as a new phone) and nothing has worked. I'm convinced that this issue is somehow linked to my Apple ID, but I'd rather not have to make a new ID if I can avoid it. Does anyone have any suggestions? [link] [comments] |
