- Hearing all these iOS 16 rumour news that Apple is planning to revamp the Lock Screen/wallpaper with widget capabilities. So sharing a concept of a dynamic weather wallpaper concept that I tried out a few months ago.

If i am in the wrong place, please let me know where i can ask this :) Earlier today my girlfriend started getting an issue on her Iphone: She can recieve SMS from other people, as well as send them to everyone, but she cannot recieve SMS from me (i have an Android) however, i have tested with a few friends (some of which do have Iphones) and my texts did get through to their phone. When i google about this i just keep getting relationship advices about SOs not replying to messages so i figured i would give reddit a try. I'll also add that for some reason her contact on the messages on my phone lost her name, as if it was a new contact but i still do have her number, i kept getting texts on that said number from her, it basically just added my country's code at the begining for no reason. Posted: 30 May 2022 11:51 AM PDT I mean, are they able to know the serial number of the device, the MAC address or any other identification (like the IMEI). I switched to an iPhone 13 Pro recently and I'm interested if iOS apps can know precisely on which device they are/were installed, used, reinstalled or uninstalled? This is obviously possible on Android and multiple apps/services use it to track peoples smartphones and their data. I choose an iPhone because I thought the parental controls were solid and that I could manage it from my own phone. Well, it didn't worked as planned because of a serious flaw in the system created by Apple : I decided to give to my son 3 hours of screen per day with some apps always allowed (mostly for its homework). The problem is that if an app is deleted from the phone, the time this app has been used is deleted too. That means infinite screen time ! It's an old bug and I can't believe it hasn't been fixed yet. Moreover, the phone has only 16go so it's not practical to remove the rights to delete some apps sometime. [link] [comments] | ||

Been many many years since I've worried about this kind of thing but recently I started to re-use an app I used to use years ago! Occurred to me - hey, I use this infrequently over the years... what happens if a day in the future I come to the App Store and it's not here.... Surely a case of copying over an app file from device to storage area right?! Apparently that is not a thing anymore? And since its a mini, my index finger tends to accidentally get caught in the video and I can see my finger in it. Is there anyway to make the phone record using the top camera instead of the bottom? | iOS headphone volume scale off after 15.5 update Posted: 29 May 2022 06:58 PM PDT Anyone else notice the headphone volume scale is broken since 15.5 or is it just me? I was listening to music as I was updating my iPhone 11 to 15.5, so I heard the difference before and after the update pretty quickly. I'm using AirPod Pros. Now when listening to music or podcasts using the Apple native apps, I can barely hear anything at 50% volume. Then from 50% to 100% it blows out. Unsure if there is a change to the OS, the apps, or the headphones. [link] [comments] | ||
