iOS App Locking Posted: 14 May 2022 05:43 AM PDT Listen bros and broettes, Instead of Apple adding the ability to lock individual apps on iOS for security/privacy reasons, they should add the option to lock the iOS into specific apps. For example, you let your nosey cousin use your phone to call someone and they try to swipe up to the Home Screen, slide down for notification or control center but they won't be able to without FaceID or your passcode. Instead, they will just get a vibration like when FaceID fails. A lot of practically for this feature! your kid wants YouTube/play a game while traveling? No prob, lock OS to that specific app so they won't mess with your settings or other apps. Want to share your photos or specific album to fam/friends? My iPhone XR is lagging Posted: 14 May 2022 05:02 AM PDT Hi, I bought my iPhone XR 2 years ago and now I experience some lags, especially while scrolling apps like reddit or turning on camera app. I have 88% of battery capacity, iOS 15.4.1 and mores less 20 gigabytes of free storage. I have done factory reset a couple of days ago but it didn't improve the performance. What can I do? The only thing that comes to my mind is the replacement of battery since maybe it is not capable of handling more exhausting tasks. Has anyone installed iOS 15.5 release candidate? Siri now works offline… Except with CarPlay ? Posted: 14 May 2022 02:57 AM PDT Since iOS 15, we finally have the ability to use Siri even when offline, which is great. … at least that's what I thought until I discovered it doesn't work when using CarPlay, which is very disappointing and, quite frankly, dumb, as this is probably the most important and likely scenario where you would actually need Siri when you get no signal, which is not rare when driving around. I couldn't find any explanation about this, does anyone know why this is the case ?
