iPhone Lovers-Where do you see the iPhone in the next 4 years? Posted: 19 Apr 2022 04:30 PM PDT I just upgraded from my iPhone Xr to a 13 (very hard decision since I adored by iPhone Xr but the battery life wasn't cutting it and its was all banged up) Anyway, every time I upgrade my iPhone I tend to to think about the iPhone's future and how it gonna be the next time I upgrade. So where does everyone see the iPhone in the next 4 years? Also how often do you guys tend upgrade phones? [link] [comments]
I've reached my limit with the iPhone weight Posted: 19 Apr 2022 09:02 AM PDT It's was never an issue I thought I'd have, but damn the iPhone 13 pro is just so heavy compared to previous phones. Compared to the 12 especially but even the 12 pro it feels like a brick. Idk what to do, I want the 120 hz screen but this thing is heavy!!! I'm 10/10 hoping the next phone will be lighter like all previous iphones to date except the 13 pro and 13 pro max, or I'll have to consider samsung or something :( Anyone suddenly feeling like phones are getting heavier? Kinda sucks because I don't even use the magnets for any accessories so it's just added weight [link] [comments]
Which cases actually protect camera on iPhone 13 pro? Posted: 20 Apr 2022 08:29 AM PDT Looking for a case that does a better job than the ones I've seen in some stores, which generally seem to have been designed to have the lens flush with the part of the case around the camera that's supposed to be protecting it. With a few, the lens even stuck out a tiny amount past the case... Not sure how these made it past QC, but ok... :) Ideally I'd like one that protects the camera lenses as well as the screen. Any recommendations appreciated [link] [comments]
Had iPhone SE (2020), upgraded to 13 Mini, went back to SE a week later! Posted: 20 Apr 2022 08:40 AM PDT I've been very happy with my iPhone SE (2020) since I got it 18 months ago as a replacement for a Google Pixel 2. Love it's size and it's abilities. Decided to treat myself to a 13 Mini a few weeks ago - but ended up returning it and keeping the SE because the 13 Mini really wasn't much better at all, and in some ways much much worse (for me at least!). The OLED screen was way dimmer than the SE's LCD screen - even though it's advertised as much brighter. Side by side it was easy to see the LCD was much brighter when on 100% brightness (with True Tone turned on and off just to see if that made a difference - it didn't) The battery life barely seemed better on the Mini - both last about a day and both need a battery pack if you're out walking with them and taking photos all day, so no improvement there really as I'd hoped. The camera seems just as good on my SE and I really didn't see the point in the Ultrawide lens on the Mini - would much rather have a telephoto lens than that. I really couldn't get my head around why anyone would prefer Face ID to Touch ID, especially when it comes to Apple Pay. Touch ID you just hold the phone against the payment reader, thumb on the button, and it works! Face ID you have to hold it there, then double press the power button, then move it to your face, then move it back to the reader. Unless I was doing something wrong that's just 3 extra steps and way more inconvenient :) The main pain for me was Reachability! I use that ALL the time to use the SE one handed and reach the top of the screen. On the SE it's a really simple light double tap of the Home button. On the Mini, you do a little swipe at the bottom of the screen. It's uncomfy and unnatural to get your thumb to that angle in the first place, right at the bottom of the device, and it also means you end up hitting any on-screen buttons that happen to be there and performing actions you don't intend to. So all in all in all, the Mini 13 felt like a downgrade and I'm glad my SE still holds up. [link] [comments]

How to activate wifi synchronisation to iTunes or Mac without a cable please ? Posted: 20 Apr 2022 07:40 AM PDT Hello, I want to backup my iPhone into iTunes on my windows computer or into my MacBook without a cable. I found this documentation to activate the wireless synchronization : https://support.apple.com/en-en/guide/itunes/itns3751d862/windows But you need to connect it before. I don't want to buy an lightning / USB cable : this is a one shot thing. After the backup, I am going to give my iPhone. How can I do please ? [link] [comments]

Going iPhone only - any others? Posted: 19 Apr 2022 04:24 AM PDT I have been following the idea of iPhone only. There isn't much to find online (it is quite a niche thing), one of the bigger articles ist from 2019 - does anybody know if Jack Dorsey is still iPhone only? Couldn't find anything newer. Would be interested to know if other people are also iPhone only. It's not for everyone, but I cant let go of the idea and am currently trying it out :) [link] [comments]
Will iPhone release smart call like Samsung? Posted: 19 Apr 2022 04:58 AM PDT My girlfriend owns a Samsung, and I think it's really nifty that her phone recognises phone numbers from certain organisations (restaurants, for example) and displays the name on the screen for incoming and outgoing calls, regardless of whether the number is in her contacts. Samsung calls this Smart Call. It also recognises potentially fraudulent numbers. Does anyone know if Apple is working on something similar, or is the technology patented? [link] [comments]
Am I the only one who still feels the need to use a separate device for music? Posted: 19 Apr 2022 02:28 PM PDT I've been using an iPod since the Classic : Nano, Shuffle, Touch (3rd, 5th and 6th Gen) because I always wanted to use a separate device for music, and also because I only got my first smartphone in 2012 (Windows Phone) and my first iPhone in 2015. Since then, I kept my iPod Touch as much as I could and now I use my "old" iPhone SE (2016) as an iPod. I use it when I go out for a walk, in my car, etc... I don't like using my main iPhone as an mp3 player, mainly because I don't want to use battery on it (although I could still easily end the day on one charge on my 13) and because I like being able to "isolate" myself from calls, some apps and notifications when I just want to listen to music. Am I the only one to separate their main phone with a music dedicated device? [link] [comments]
Why Isn’t the iPhone SE full screen? Posted: 18 Apr 2022 07:26 PM PDT I have iPhone 7 , I think 8 & SE also share form factor. I definitely love the simplicity of these modules over iphone 12/13. Fan of iPhone 12 mini but not into bulky phones. Why won't they release full screen SE? [link] [comments] |
