    Hi all,

    I'm new to the Apple ecosystem and looking at purchasing an apple watch for daily use - mainly for my running needs but also to pair with my iphone. Things like VO2 max, heart rate measurement, listening to music and podcasts while running are most important for me.

    Where I live, the series 6 is available for 320 USD, the SE is the same price at 320 USD and the series 7 is 400 USD. I'd rather not pay the extra 80USD as the bigger screen and keyboard don't appeal to me. If I were to purchase the series 6 now, how long will I be able to use it in terms of updates etc.?

    Workoutdoors, only the map during hiking

    I would like to use the map during hiking but I don't care the rest of the data collected by the watch during a sports activity.

    So, it's posible only open the app, see the map with my route and don't waste unnecessary battery?

    S7 No Display when alarm goes off

    I use my watch as my alarm clock everyday. Since the last update once or twice a week the alarm goes off and the display won't show up for me to hit stop or snooze. I take it off the charger and if I hit the screen I hear clicks as if I'm hitting something on the screen but I have no idea what. Once I put the watch back on the charger the screen appears.

    Anyone else experiencing this?

    Is apple watch not recognizing "that much" as exercise normal?

    So...today I had a two hour trx session, mainly focused on core, pullups and bodyweight training, as well as a brief steep climbing session.

    I feel tired like few other times before, yet my watch is telling me "you can still do it" as if I didn't exercise at all. I just forgot to pres the "log whatever, I don't even know how to name this workout" button.

    It's so weird since my heart rate for sure went up quite a bit...and I find it very silly that I can't retroactively tell my watch "look dude, from here to here I was working out as hell, so work out the data back and understand what went on and put up that freaky ring"...is it just like that or there's something I can do that I'm missing?

    Also, is it norma that the device is so unreliable when you forget to start the workout?

    (apple watch series 6 btw)

    EDIT: So adding trough the health app apparently retroactively updates my exercise rings, and that's great 😁! Does it work also when I'm not wearing the Apple Watch?

    Need to tap before notifications shows

    Hey guys,

    Since one of the updates there were a (I think privacy related) function which when getting a notification, you first see just the logo from the app, then you need to tap and then it shows the actual message.

    I can not find it to turn it off.

    Please enlighten me!

    Apple sells this in their official stores why didn’t they make the main charger adjustable in height ? It costs £140 :(

    My Apple Watch doesn’t setup properly

    My Apple Watch doesn't work when I try to set it up. Every time I try it says my phone needs a software update. The first Time it said that I did the update let it finish tried again and said that I still needed the update.

    Bought the green series 7, does it sound like I regret getting this color?

    The red caught my eye when I first saw it, idk what made me get the green. I thought it was pretty and different, everyone I've asked so far prefers the green except my mom who prefers the red. I've watched so many unboxings and saw the red in person twice. When I saw it in person, I thought it was too bright. But when I see certain lighting in the videos or pics, it looks pretty. I had two weeks to exchange it but I kept the green for some reason.
