Posted: 20 Mar 2022 07:03 AM PDT I am legally blind and have a very low vision I can't see fine things sometimes for eg. I always mess up while shaving cause I can never see the mirror cause of the distance, today I shaved using the remote camera feature I used my iPhone as the camera zoomed in on the area I have to shave on and looked at my apple watch and shaved so easily, these little features helps me so much navigating day to day world even things like tapping two time so it says time out loud, having this thing is really life-changing. Watch doesn't detect standing accurately Posted: 20 Mar 2022 03:14 PM PDT Did something change in one of the more recent updates to the watch so that it barely detects standing? I've had a series 3 for several years and it used to be pretty accurate in detecting standing-- even just standing and brushing my teeth for 2 minutes it would detect. Now I can walk all over the kitchen, preparing a meal, washing dishes, feeding the dogs for most of the hour and it doesn't detect standing. [link] [comments]

Posted: 20 Mar 2022 12:42 PM PDT Just fielding this out there: I have an Apple Watch series 2 that died during a run this morning. It was fully charged this morning, was recording a workout and playing Bluetooth music to my headphones, then just totally died about 3/5ths of the way through a run. Did I overload the aging tech by demanding too much of it?! [link] [comments]
PSA: If you get the incorrect "storage full" message on your Watch, try deleting the Watch app. Posted: 20 Mar 2022 05:34 PM PDT It's finally warming up here in Japan, and I was looking forward to getting back to my morning run. I got my Watch SE out and charged it, and when I put it on to go out, I found that none of my tracks were on it. No Music, no Podcasts, no Spotify (of course—no one has ever successfully gotten those to actually download on the Watch...). I checked the storage and had gobs open. I then found that I was limited to 8GB for media storage for no conceivable reason, but I only had 400MB showing up for Media (despite there actually being no media...). I did the Unpair/Set up dance a few times without a fix. Then I noticed that in the Music section of the Watch app, where I get the yellow message warning that I'm out of space on an empty watch, that the place that usually says something like "fill your Watch with whatever random stuff Apple thinks you should have on it," I just had a "loading" wheel. No text, no graphics. When I came back a few hours later, I found that my Watch was now full of random songs and podcasts. I had all of that turned off. I had exactly one "album" (actually downloaded podcast episodes that I can't get anymore) synced in Music. I decided to unpair and delete/reinstall Watch. Suddenly that "loading" section showed back up and I could turn it off and instead sync my one album. I was able to turn off everything in Podcasts, as well. All the fighting with the Watch, and what was corrupted was the Watch app on the phone. I've seen tons of comments in the last few days as I waged war with this issue of people who had this problem and gave up. None of the pages dealing with it suggested just nuking the Watch app and starting over. So if you are in the same boat (I think it's a bigger boat than Apple realizes—people who use the Watch as a fitness tracker and MP3 player, with no phone), try deleting the app! Is the series 3 worth getting in 2022? Posted: 20 Mar 2022 05:34 PM PDT I'm looking into finally getting an apple watch. I know I don't need the series 7, so I'm wondering if the series 3 is worth getting as it's inexpensive and has what I need (activity component). What are your thoughts? [link] [comments]

Does the Nike Sport Loop reflect too much during everyday use? Posted: 20 Mar 2022 12:33 PM PDT My Solo Loop by Apple tore, and I'm looking for something more durable. If you have suggestions for something like that but durable, I'd appreciate it. right now though, I'm looking at the Nike Sport Loop. However I see that it is reflective. If I wear this everyday, and for example go to a theater, will it be a distraction? [link] [comments]
[support] applewatch 7, os8.5, ios15.4 zoom not working properly. Posted: 20 Mar 2022 04:10 PM PDT I have zoom active in accessibility settings and set to 10x. It normally does exactly what it's supposed to but at some point recently it decided to stop. IDK if it's because of the ios15.4 / wos8.5 update and I just didn't notice or if something else happened but today it just isn't behaving. It still zooms but only to 1.5x ish. Not matter what I change on the slider it only does the same size. I turned it on and off a couple times on the watch and in the ios app and I see the notification on the watch "zoom enabled" "zoom disabled" but it doesn't seem to want to respect the size. I have rebooted a couple times just to see if that helped and no change. I haven't tried resetting because it takes 50 years for it to finish it's back up and sync and reset etc. and I'd rather not if it's something that can be fixed another way. Thanks. Anyway to turn off step tracking when riding on mower? Posted: 20 Mar 2022 04:04 PM PDT I'm on a mower for work everyday and it skews my Activity data quite a bit. Sometimes saying I walk 20k steps in a few hours when my ass was on a mower the whole time lol. Same goes for my phone. I'm trying to meticulously track calories during my cut but I need my watch/phone on me during work. [link] [comments]
Posted: 20 Mar 2022 04:02 PM PDT ive had my apple watch for quite a while now, its a series 4 and i got it not too long after it came out. however i stopped using it for a while, but recently i decided i wanted to start using it again so i charged it and turned it on but i accidently disconnected it from my phone. now whenever i try to connect it to my phone i go through the connection steps, but after it connects it say there is a software update available and the only options are to update the watch or to skip the setup and not connect the watch to the phone. so when i click on 'update now' it says its activating the watch and that it may take a few minutes, but then it gets a pop up saying its unable to check for updates because its not connected to the internet. it cant be my phone thata not connected to the internet because i have checked many times and it is connected but i cant actually do anything on the watch because it not connected to my phone. Posted: 19 Mar 2022 08:32 PM PDT Using the Music app or Pocketcasts app works, but in the middle of a workout or hike, it's much easier to just swipe over. Using the crown to adjust volume level is also very slow and at times unresponsive as well. [link] [comments]
Posted: 20 Mar 2022 02:49 PM PDT So my Apple Watch died and I misplaced it it's been about 2 weeks or so , randomly when I go out it seems to appear on find my iPhone network in places I have been near any suggestions why It would do that p.s 100% sure it's in my house [link] [comments]
My apple watch suddenly doesn't turn on Posted: 20 Mar 2022 02:20 PM PDT I saw it being around 80% charged but I'm not able to turn it on by pressing the crown for a long time. I bought it 6 months ago, never had an issue but wow it suddenly doesn't work. What should I do? Also never got hit or soaked in the water. It doesn't have a screen protector so I was always extra careful with it🥲 [link] [comments]
Should I get a screen protector? Posted: 20 Mar 2022 01:42 PM PDT I have an Apple watch 7 nike edition. Do you have a screen protector on your watch? I'm thinking to buy one for scratches and drop peotection but I don't know that it would help Also do you buy watch bands from apple or other retailer that are more cheap? [link] [comments]
Apple Watch stuck in Water Lock Posted: 20 Mar 2022 01:35 PM PDT I just got an Apple Watch on FB Marketplace, and it seems like it has an issue with the Digital Crown… while it responds to being pressed, it does not respond to being spun at all. Add to that, I was exploring and accidentally turned the water lock on and now cannot do anything on my watch since, you know, spinning the crown does nothing. What can I do?? [link] [comments]
What experience you have with Apple Watch 7 as waterproof device for swimming in a pool? Posted: 20 Mar 2022 10:44 AM PDT Just got my watch series 7. Should I trust the waterproof sistem when swimming? What about using it in salty water for snorkeling or diving? I am here for real experience not for marketing statements 😊 [link] [comments]
Posted: 20 Mar 2022 10:24 AM PDT I have been getting eBay notifications on my Apple Watch and want to stop them. I do not have the eBay app installed on my watch. I do not get these same notifications on my iPhone, which does have the eBay app installed. Does anyone understand why this is happening and how to stop it? [link] [comments]

Posted: 20 Mar 2022 08:11 AM PDT I'm trying to set the MyQ app to open my garage on my watch but, it is forever loading devices and when it does it says I don't have any devices in my account, I am using a shared home from my dad to open the garage, is there any way to get the app to work? Difference between family sharing and just using spare phone Posted: 20 Mar 2022 07:48 AM PDT Hi. I am wondering if there is any difference for the user when using Apple Watch in two different ways. If my child has a watch with cellular, would there be any difference to him if the watch is standalone via Family Sharing vs "standalone" because it is synced to an old iPhone that stays at the house? My son has had an Apple Watch set up with Family Sharing for a year or two and it has worked well. He doesn't need a phone yet. We are looking to change cellular providers soon, and may be eligible to receive a free line. Looking ahead to the future, the free line would be nice for when my son is old enough to have a phone. I have an old iPhone that could be setup with my son's current number on the free line. Doing that, he would have to attach his watch to that phone instead of my phone (via Family Sharing). Instead of his watch acting standalone through Family Sharing, it would be standalone because the phone it's paired to is always at the house. Would he notice any difference in his use if the phone stayed at the house full time vs Family Sharing? I know that managing the watch would change and would be done through the spare phone, that isn't an issue. Thanks for any info/advice. [link] [comments]
WorkOutDoors- Time blurry overlay during activity Posted: 20 Mar 2022 06:19 AM PDT Is it normal for WorkOutDoors to show the time on a blurred overlay while in activity (run/ride/etc)? I don't see this other applications, so assuming it is specific to WorkOutDoors. I did pass thru the app on my phone, but didn't see immediately a place to change this. Anyone familiar with this?
