I bought a 2020 M1 MacBook (Space Grey) that I thought needed a battery repair, but it has an activation lock on it. I reported it stolen and provided the serial number to police, but there's been no hits on it after three months. Any chance Apple will remove this lock? | Apple Online Store Courier Service Posted: 20 Mar 2022 11:51 AM PDT Hey guys, I bought like $1400 worth of products on feb 17 from the online store and requested a courier service. The items did not arrive and Apple says I am not eligible for a refund. I've called Apple, emailed Tim cook, called Uber (the carrier) for the past month but no luck... Just in case, I filed a merchant dispute with my credit card company but that will take a long time and I don't think I have hard evidence to support it. What else can I do at this point? Checked the storage and it said I had used 94gb out of 128gb. Was unable to download new WhatsApp message attachments because I was full. Deleted a couple of apps and got it down to 89gb and it worked. I'm showing 30gb free yet it's full. Any thoughts or ideas? I'm thinking maybe doing a restore through iTunes. [link] [comments] |

Hope this is okay to ask here instead...sorry if not. The only other communities I can ask are digital art ones and those have it listed in their rules to ask tech specific communities about these topics which is why I'm asking here. Hi everyone. I've been looking into getting my first iPad for creating digital art after using a traditional 'plug in' type tablet with my late 2014 macbook pro for a long while now, and I've been debating over the last two days whether it's worth taking the plunge to buy the newly released 2022 iPad air for it as I'm aware it comes with the M1 processor chip vs going for the 2020 model. Now, I don't know that much about tablets because I've worked predominantly on a Macbook for over 10+ years, so processing has never been anything I've had to think too hard about. I'm aware that with tablets its more tricky...for my art I'd likely look into switching to something like procreate. Other than that, I wouldn't use it for anything overly processor heavy tasks such as video editing or the like. Is it worth making the upgrade to the new model with this intention of digital art in mind? At the minute I'm leaning far more towards buying the 2020 model with 246gb of space purely because of the fact the 64gb model of the 2022 iPad is just too little storage, and for the price of the 264gb model, I might as well be looking at spending the kind of cash I could get a Pro model with...I'm really turned off from buying the 64gb model in either device because it's just too little storage even with the icloud subscription (which I already have) because apps quickly take up a lot of internal space; plus bearing in mind that the iOS alone takes up about 15gb of memory off the bat...it's just a lot of money for so little space. | Advice: Mac studio display monitor with a windows ITX Posted: 20 Mar 2022 06:17 PM PDT Hope this is appropriate on applehelp as I was suggested to come here from pcsupport. Bought a Mac studio display and want to run windows OS through it with an ITX build. However, I am currently only able to run my laptop through it ( a surface) as the thunderbolt to usb c in the laptop seems to be the only output supporting it. Whereas when I've tried to run my current desktop through it (Strix 3080) the hdmi to usb c doesn't seem to display output. I think I will most likely need to have a Thunderbolt c output on the graphics card to support using the Monitor, would that be correct ? I am not familiar with using thunderbolt unfortunately so I am very noob at this. I want to check what may be the error before I get an ITX build setup for this monitor and what I should make sure I do/have ready with the ITX so it supports the monitor. [link] [comments] |

It has other things like Siri, Wallet, Messages, Game Center, Garage Band, etc... but photos is not here. This is a Government work phone.. is that why? I wouldn't think that would affect anything. The only way I was was able to store my photos was to send them to ICloud Drive directly, except Live photos don't play there. Help please. Thank you. [link] [comments] |

| I deleted photos and videos but no storage cleared up Posted: 20 Mar 2022 05:16 PM PDT I deleted tons of videos and some photos to clear up some space. My phone says I have around 11GB of photos and it's not going down. I deleted these photos and videos a few days ago and I have been looking for solutions but nothing has been working. I've powered my phone off a few times and I've tried the date and time method but nothing has changed. The recently deleted folder is empty as well so idk why it still says 11GB.
