    Braided solo loop band gets too loose overtime

    How do you guys handle the braid Apple Watch band getting too loose overtime? I love them a lot but I have bought two already and both of them have gotten too loose and impossible to wear, it's not like I am stretching them a lot, I'm very careful but still… any advice or place with high quality braided bands?

    Recently moved 200 miles and watch keeps showing me the weather in my old city

    Anyone ever have an issue with the watch displaying weather for the wrong location?

    I moved 200 miles and I've been living here for about a week. Since moving, I keep getting the weather from my old city showing on the watch (SE).

    • My phone shows the weather at the correct location, set to "my location"
    • My watch complications are also set to show the weather at my current location, but the "current location" keeps showing my old city
    • Privacy > Location services are set to always allow on both the phone and watch
    • I unpaired and re-paired the watch but it didn't help

    Sometimes when I open and close the weather app repeatedly I can get it to change to the correct current location, but it reverts back shortly after.

    Yes I will try Apple support when I have a spare hour. I'm just dumbfounded how basic things just stop working.

    Best band for first time buyer?

    I'd like to pick up the 7 aluminum version but all the band choices are holding me back.

    I just want it to work out of the box so I can track workouts and sleep.

    Is it difficult to swap after the fact?

    The heart rate while running keeps fading away and it seems the watch cannot calculate real time, any idea why ?

    I wish the Apple Watch had the notes app because I keep notes in there that I would like to easily look at from my wrist. For example, I was telling my friend about a list of shows I had and I just thought it would've been so convenient to show her the list from my watch since my phone was in another room.

    Hi,

    I just switched to Verizon. A number of reviews indicate that apple watches are not working as true independent cellular devices; they can't send/receive SMS messages over LTE, etc..

    Does anyone have experience directly with Apple Watch and Verizon?

    Help tracking lost apple watch.

    About a month ago, I lost my apple watch while staying at a hotel room. I had assumed I had left it in the room, but when the location updated, it seemed to be following me around. There has been times it seems to be in my car, sometimes its at home. I assume this means that it got crammed in the pocket of a bag or jacket, but I've scoured all my belongings, moved, packed unpacked and repacked everything and can't seem to find it anywhere. The location was updating a couple times a day. I hit the button in Find My so that it will play a sound when it connects, but it never comes within range of my phone enough to connect.

    A couple weeks ago, the battery died on the watch, so I haven't been able to check up on it since then. Since the watch is dead and no longer sending location updates, nothing is shown in Find My, not even the last known location.

    I was wondering if anyone knew of a way for me to get ahold of maybe a location history for the device. If anyone has any other tips to get additional location details that would be awesome as well.

    Apple Watch Series 5 keeps disconnecting

    Hello dear redditors!

    I have a huge bug on my Apple Watch and I think it's my iPhone faults, let me explain.

    I have this Apple Watch Series 5 since November 2019, I used it with an iPhone XR until 2 weeks ago because I bought an iPhone 13 mini.

    The Watch worked like a charm with the iPhone XR, but now since I paired it with the 13 mini it just keep disconnecting, and by disconnecting I mean that the watch randomly disconnect from the iPhone and it cause all notifications to ring on my iPhone AND on my watch (very annoying for alarm clock) when the watch is connected to wifi.

    When I'm driving it's annoying because I was used to receive phone calls on the watch and quickly change music from the watch…

    Of course I've tried few things to fixed it (unsuccessfully) :

    • rebooting the watch
    • rebooting the watch AND the iPhone
    • turn off the watch, turn off the iPhone, turn on the iPhone, wait 1 minute and turn on the watch
    • unpaired then paired again the watch (without restoring watch backup)
    • going to settings on the watch to factory reset it, then paired it again
    • factory reset the iPhone 13 mini, reconfigured it without restoring any backup then paired the watch

    Do you have any ideas of possible repairing tips ? It is my iPhone fault like I think ? And if so, will Apple replace it if I contact the Apple Support ?

    To anyone considering switching to a Garmin

    Hi all, first post here. I just wanted to share my experience of switching to a Garmin after some frustrations with the Apple Watch.

    So I bought a Series 3 back in December 2019. I absolutely loved it - it helped me to get fitter and lose weight, especially during the peak pandemic months of 2020. I found closing the rings to be a massive exercise motivator.

    Over time, however, I began to feel dissatisfied. I found the repetitive fitness reminders irritating after around a year, the watch became scratched, and the faces started to look dated when compared to newer models. Another big factor was the heart rate monitor - often, during a run, the sensor was unable to detect a pulse for up to 5 minutes of the activity, which was really frustrating. I tried tightening the watch strap but to no avail. Finally, the iOS Health app left significant room for improvement- the heart rate graphs were poorly formatted, and some of the data (ie. resting heart rate, spo2 just didn't seem to make sense).

    Anyway, due to the above, and the increasing age & decreasing performance of my Series 3, I decided to try a Garmin Instinct Solar. It was a stark change, and while lacking in smart watch features, it was superior for running, for swimming, and for hiking - an all-round better activity watch. Over time, however, I've also become disillusioned with this. It lacks all of the motivating aspects of AW, and is not much of a looker on the wrist. It's sleep-tracking, whilst more detailed than the AW, is really lacking in accuracy. And the body battery almost feels like it's moving into pseudoscience territory.

    Anyway, I kind of just wanted to share my experience to show that the grass isn't always greener. Sometimes, there's no perfect fit for everything you want. If you're happy with your AW but it's getting a bit dated, you might be better off to just save for longer and buy a newer AW rather than an alternative.

    Keeps asking if I want to end my workout even with high heart rate

    Hi.

    So suddenly this week my watch seems to think even with a high heart rate I'm no longer working out. Indoor cycle, and it's asking me 5-6 times even though I'm clearly still working out based on my heart rate. I tried it by following an apple fitness workout which shows everything on the screen but doing the same thing.

    I've restarted it twice, I'm up to date on software for both the watch and my phone.

    Auto pause is already disabled too.

    Anyone have any tips?

    Hey fellas, can you recommend an Apple Watch app that helps you actually store files on it?

    If you remember, even old iPods could be used as portable storage devices, and it was awesome. I'd like to do the same with the Apple Watch, but there's clearly no intuitive way to go about it.

    And I'm talking not just photos and music, but also documents, any types of files. Is it possible? Do you know a good app? Thanks.

    When buying an apple watch online, where you cant choose the band size, what size does the watch come with?

    On the Apple website, you are required to choose a band size. However, this option is not presented in Authorized sellers, such as Best Buy, Amazon, Walmart, etc... If I were to order a watch with one of these sites, what size will the band be?

    Rash/scab from Watch

    I have an Apple Watch and I have for a while. I get redness, itchiness, dryness and then some scabbing from the Watch. It's right where the left side of the Watch sits on my arm (not the band). I also have a red circle from the sensor on the Watch. I thought it was from sweat/workouts but I religiously clean my watch with water and baby wipes but still have the same problem. Anyone have any tips? I'm not sure what this may be but maybe a nickle allergy?

    Custom call notifications

    Is there a way my watch can notify me of only certain calls? I don't want to be interrupted for most things while I'm at work, but if my son's daycare calls, I'd like those to come through. Can't figure this out, if it is possible. I can only seem to map out an "all or nothing" setting. Thank you!!

    Apple Watch 2015 38mm Sport

    Hello. 5 years ago I receive an Apple Watch as a Birthday gift. It was a 2015 38mm Sport. The other day the glass face popped off still feathered to the insides. It was like a eye ball falling out of the socket. - Should I take it to an Apple Store to get it fixed? I know it's not normal but is it expected that it will happen? Thanks.

    How to setup high heart rate alert like Garmin does while training?

    Hi,

    just got an Apple Watch and want to know how to setup a high heart rate alert while doing sports.
    My Garmin Forerunner notices me when the heart rate is high, directly. Again, while doing sports.

    Any idea or app how to achieve this with Apple?
