    Strange key behaviour

    Hi folks,

    I have a strange key behaviour with my external keyboard [Keychron K2 in Mac mode].

    I checked the box `Use F1, F2, etc keys as standard....` in the keyboard settings.

    When I in an App and use e.g. a short cut combination with CTRL F4 or F8 the f-key works... but CTRL F5 works not... I need to press the FN key on the Keychron keyboard too to get the shortcut working... I have no clue why...

    When I try the same shortcuts on the built-in Mac keyboard it works like a charme...

    Did anyone had this issue, too or have a clue what's wrong here?

    I tried to install Acrobat Reader for my MacBook Air with M1 earlier.

    However, I found that there is a list for selection which is "MacOS with Intel" only during installation.

    So, what should I do for M1 machines?

    Please advice if available.

    Need advice: considering buying used iMac...

    Hi all, I have never purchased an iMac or MacBook before so I don't know enough to pull the chord on this purchase.

    This is a big buy for me, so I just want to make sure. Someone on OfferUp is asking $800 for:

    2017 iMac (27in), Monterey IOS, Retina 5K, i5 Intel Processor 3.5 GHz Quad Core, 1 TB SSD, 32 GB of RAM, Graphics Radeon Pro 575 4GB

    I am planning on asking to meet at an Apple store to run a diagnostics test of course.. I just don't know what all the specs mean/what I'm getting. Also if you have any experience purchasing off of OfferUp lmk!

    Thoughts? Thanks in advance!

    Why is the Finder window never the size/shape that I want it to be?

    I don't know how to describe the precise problem - but every time I open the finder window, I have to spend 10 seconds fixing the horrible window, column, and sidebar sizes. The sidebar is always comically large taking up 1/3 of the window, the "file size" column is always way too big obscuring much of the file name, etc.

    Oh and the damn window shape. Its always an oblong weird-ass rectangle, and when i double click the top of the window, it resizes to a less horrible, but still bad awkward rectangle.

    Maybe I'm the crazy person that's bothered by this but does anyone else notice these annoyances?

    Safari issues on macOS

    Hey guys. Just wanted to know is anyone else facing slow loading/not loading websites on Safari (Version 15.2) on macOS Monterey (Version 12.1)? The websites are all loading on Chrome & Mobile, but not on macOS for some reason.

    Anyone have any solutions? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance

    Unable to manually configure Exchange email in Mac Mail

    Hello! Since updating to Mac OS 12.1, my work email (hosted on Exchange Server 2019) and calendar no longer sync. When I tried to delete and set up the exchange account from scratch it takes me to a login page (which doesn't work) and I'm unable to configure domain and server (this is still doable on my iPhone). Any suggestions/thoughts?

    ShareX alternative for Mac?

    On my Windows workstation I use ShareX for screenshots it lets me upload them and share them with Google Drive or Nextcloud. It also lets you auto-shorten the URLs. Is there anything on Mac that at least has the Google Drive integration?

    Menu Bar icons keep re-appearing after removing

    So I got a new '21 MBP 16-inch from work and I was able to set it up fine. However, I noticed that no matter how many times I remove the control center icons (wifi, now playing, bluetooth), they keep coming back after ~20 minutes.

    I've tried dragging them out of the menu bar, went into settings to toggle them on/off, nothing's helping. Anyone know what's going on?

    Updating my MacBook to latest OS

    I have a 2015 MacBook Pro, is it normal for it to be taking this long or is it frozen?

    Is there a way to remove the Speech entry from the right-click menu in Monterey? It appears on right-clicking text selections. As I can see, it's system wide - it appears in Chrome, TextEdit etc.

    NTFS on M1 Macbook Air

    Hi, I am a former Windows user that recently purchased an M1 Macbook Air. So I have 2 External Drives, 2TB and another 4TB, which is been formatted to NTFS and already filled with terabytes of data. So formatting to exFAT isn't an option as I have no where else to back up those data, in addition, has been said exFAT is not recommended for large drives. So my HDDs now becomes a paper weight 😢. I understand there's paid softwares like Paragon and Tuxera, however is there any reliable freewares that is able do read-write for NTFS on mac?

    OneDrive system time warp crash?

    My M1 Mac Mini just unexpectedly restarted while I was in the middle of typing something, no warning, and no acknowledgement of the restart when the system came back up. There isn't even anything in the CrashReporter. I searched my system log for shutdown, no relevant results.

    So I pulled the entire system log for the last hour and started scrolling through it. I went to right before the crash, bluetoothd is spitting some random stuff about 30 seconds before the crash, and then OneDrive starts spitting a lot of stuff. It doesn't look abnormal at first glance, but the first message it spits is dated over 30 minutes into the future, and as it spits a few hundred lines the system clock continues advancing up to about 5 days into the future, and then the timesync at reboot after the crash sets it back to real-time.

    Did OneDrive just time warp my Mac into a crash somehow? There's literally nothing but OneDrive related stuff from when the time warp starts until the crash. This is a weird glitch. Especially since macOS doesn't seem to have acknowledged it crashed at all.

    I have been going back and forth over this for a while, but am increasingly frustrated with the bugs and issues of 12.1 and haven't heard great things about 12.2. I am interested in wiping my Mac and going back to 12.0 (and staying there until Apple fixes all the problems we keep seeing). I saw this article (https://www.macworld.co.uk/how-to/install-old-mac-os-3679956/) about going back to the original OS that was installed using MacOS Recovery. I was wondering if anyone could verify this or would also have any suggestions? This is also my first Mac and I spent a lot of time trying different software (most of which I don't use anymore), so I kind of want a clean slate now that I have an idea of what I want on my laptop. Are there any downsides other than losing all my data?
