- One of the links that cannot be undone fell off my bracelet. It’s a crucial part to the bracelet and I haven’t seen anything about this anywhere online. My watch band won’t link back together without that piece. Has anyone seen anything similar? And can anyone help resolve this if possible? Thanks

Submitted a feature request for a dog walking workout Posted: 09 Feb 2022 04:26 PM PST I walk my dog almost daily and I track my walks with a workout. However, when I'm walking my dog the watch constantly asks me if I want to pause the workout when I stop to let my dog get her sniffs in or needs to do her business. I know there is the ability to turn this warning off completely, but I don't want to do that. I want to keep it on so it reminds me to end my workout when I'm at home. I've forgotten about stopping it several times, so I like the feature overall, I just think it pops up way too quickly and frequently when walking the dog. Allowing the watch to just track walking by itself without a workout is an unacceptable workaround for me. Walking by itself does not translate all that accurately to the green exercise ring. I know my walks are not terribly strenuous, but I don't care. I deal with depression and motivational issues, particularly in the winter months, so having my watch accurately reflect the time I spent being motivated is hugely important to me, even if it's not impressive to others. Second, I want to be able to track where I went and for how long I went. I can export a workout to Strava or any number of other apps. For these reasons, I think it would be great to either have an actual dog walking workout that takes into account the doggy pitstops, or have the ability to change the length of time it takes to notify you to end your workouts. Has anyone had any success in seeing their feature suggestion actually being adopted? Just curious if submitting features goes into a black hole, never to be seen again. [link] [comments]
Apple Watch getting hot sometimes after updating to watchOS 8.4.1 Posted: 10 Feb 2022 08:02 AM PST Watch Version: Apple Watch Series 6 After updating to watchOS 8.4.1, i have noticed that my watch gets hot while im not using it and drains a big amount of battery, when it is hot, animations are very laggy and apps take a while to open sometimes it will also disconnect from my iPhone (even though bluetooth on both devices is enabled). Also this isnt caused by high temperatures outside as its around 6-9 degress celcious outside most of the time. The only way i was able to fix this was by restarting the Apple Watch. This does happen quite often and only after updating, i don't know if its a software bug or something wrong with the watch's hardware. [link] [comments]
Stand notifications - How to temporarily turn off? Help! Posted: 10 Feb 2022 07:32 AM PST Work schedule is variable so occasionally my sleep schedule is altered. I normally select three (3) things on the watch: Theater mode, notifications off, and Focus Do Not Disturb. So.....why am I still getting Stand notifications and Activity alerts during my sleep? Help??? [link] [comments]
FULLLY silence Apple Watch including alarms? Posted: 10 Feb 2022 05:19 AM PST A couple of weekends ago I setup a magnetic door sensor on my sliding patio door. When the door is opened, an alarm is sent to my phone and watch. I knew it would be annoying come Spring when the weather wasn't frigid and my plan was to disable it then and turn it on only during vacations etc. Sure enough, yesterday I'm in a yoga class of all things and the alarm kept going off every ~6 minutes or so. Every time I go to yoga I set the watch the silent and did so yesterday as well but apparently that doesn't silence alarms. Is there any way to truly silence the watch fully? [link] [comments]
How long should a S4 watch with 91% battery health be lasting? Posted: 09 Feb 2022 04:59 PM PST I recently got a second hand S4 watch and the battery health is at 91%. Considering how old the watch is, I didn't mind but I have noticed that the watch barely last more than 5 hours before the battery runs out from a full overnight charge. I'm really confused as I have seen people on here talk about having a lower battery health but still lasting atleast the whole day. I also don't use the watch a lot so I don't know what could be draining the battery life. The software is also up to date. Just wanted to see what opinions or advice you all would give before going to the apple store to see what they'd say. Edit: I have also tried unpairing then re-pairing the watch, as well as resetting the watch and erasing all content and settings. [link] [comments]
Posted: 10 Feb 2022 04:03 AM PST The majority of blog posts I've come across have focused on the aspects I mentioned in the title, with a handful mentioning apps you can use to track medication scheduling. My parents are not the most technically literate, and may require numerous repetitions before they fully grasp specific details, which really is to be expected. That said, at least the immediately life-threatening things are covered without their input (as long as the settings are properly enabled in the first place). I also know that they want to keep better track of how much they exercise, so that's relatively easy. If you recently helped set up an Apple Watch for an older member of your family, what were some of their needs or wants, or what were tips you gave them? Edit: they do have iPhones. No need for family setup. [link] [comments]

Haptic feedback stops working randomly Posted: 10 Feb 2022 02:12 AM PST On my apple watch series 7 (watchOS 8.4.1) sometimes the haptic feedback stops working at all. The only thing that fixes it, is restarting the watch. Toggling haptic feedback on/off doesn't help. Last time it happened was about 1 month ago (i think it was watchOS 8.3 back then) and it happened again today. My alarm didn't wake me today because of that. I also don't get haptic feedback when receiving notifications, or scrolling with the crown. This is a major inconvenience, since waking up to my alarm is crucial. I didn't reboot the watch this time, in case there is a way to gather information on how this happened. Has anyone an idea about how this is happening, and what to do against it? Any ideas on how to gather information about this bug is also welcome. Thanks! [link] [comments]
Do i need to update weight every time I lose it? Posted: 10 Feb 2022 02:08 AM PST Apple watch series 7 question guys. Do I need to update weight every time I lose weight in health setting? Because calories burned is related to weight and I am trying to lose 10 kg and I was thinking watch will calculate calories burned at starting weight. I am 80 now. [link] [comments]
Achievement notification not working? Posted: 09 Feb 2022 05:53 PM PST My Apple Watch fitness achievement notification (firework-colorful skinny thing) doesn't always go off after I've reached my daily goal. What is wrong? How to check why this is happening/not happening? TIA [link] [comments]
Apple watch Numpad during calls series 5 and onwards Posted: 10 Feb 2022 01:10 AM PST Recently, I moved to iPhone and Apple watch series 4. During the start of an automated call, I had to press some digits to connect to the right department. I tried it with the Numpad on my watch, however, it didn't work and I had to do it with my phone. Does this happen in all apple watches or just series 4? [link] [comments]
