Everyone who is wondering about their battery health, a shortcut was created to show you what it currently detects based off logs and analytical information.

    Posted: 20 Feb 2022 09:02 AM PST

This exact shortcut was created for the sole purpose of giving you the raw battery health info from your device.

You MUST have "Share iPad/iPhone/Watch Analytics" on in the privacy section of settings. If you do not have it on, turn it on and wait exactly one day for it to populate with data for you. It's important since this is how you get the raw battery health data from it too.

Install the shortcut and then make sure that you have the analytics on, then go to

    Settings>Privacy>Analytics & Improvements>Analytics Data>log-aggregated-2022-19-02-xxxxxxx.ips

If you see two of these on your iPhones, one is for the watch if you have it paired. Scroll up and it will tell you at the very beginning which OS you're looking at. This works with iPads the exact same way. This is the exact file that has all the raw battery capacity and charge cycles in it. Share this and then select the short cut you just added. Post your results below!here's my Series 4 watch, my 13 Pro Max, and my iPad Pro.

    【log-aggregated-2022-02-19-170224】 ①CycleCount=551 ②design_capacity=225mAh ③nominal_charge_capacity=187mAh ④raw_max_capacity=185mAh [Battery Health] nominal-battery.health((③/②)×100)=83.11% raw-battery.health((④/②)×100)=82.22% battery.MaximumCapacityPercent=84%

    【log-aggregated-2022-02-19-170227】 ①CycleCount=21 ②design_capacity=4325mAh ③nominal_charge_capacity=4363mAh ④raw_max_capacity=4422mAh [Battery Health] nominal-battery.health((③/②)×100)=100.88% raw-battery.health((④/②)×100)=102.24% battery.MaximumCapacityPercent=101%

    Mesh Wi-Fi connection problem

    Posted: 20 Feb 2022 08:56 AM PST

Hello! I'm having a problem with my iPhone and iPad trying to connect to my mesh wifi. I bought a Netgear EX6250v2 to extend the range of my network, but when those devices switch from the main router to the extender they fail to connect to the internet. So when I am in the room 1 and I'm connected to the main router it works well, but when I go to the room 2 where it connects to the extender it shows that the wifi stays connected but it won't load anything. I have to disconnect and reconnect to the wifi in room 2 and then it works until I go back to room 1 (main router), once there I have the same issue. I already deleted the network and reconnected from both the devices, reset the network settings and I have no VPN or ad-blocker installed. The problem is not happening on my Mac, which keeps connected to the internet if I move across the rooms. Does anybody have a solution?

    Widgets and battery…

    Posted: 20 Feb 2022 05:58 AM PST

    The Problem

Over the past couple of weeks I've been noticing that my phone has been performing noticeably slower….as well as consuming HUGE amounts of battery…..while most would consider 8 hours of screen time great (and I acknowledge that it is in fact great)….I have ocd…and am obsessed with things running in the background, as well as squeezing the most I can out of a phone battery…

When I first got my iPhone 13 pro….it would take almost 2 hours to get down to 90%….but after months of owning it…getting comfortable with it…as well as adding widgets, downloading more apps…and shiny new thingies…The two hours it took to get down to 90%, turned into 30 minutes….

    The Solution

Looking at my AdGuard data log, along with app privacy reports…I came to the conclusion that widgets, along with Siri (learn from this app) although they are nice, will cause a large hit….No, I'm not talking to the nerds who know this already. I making this post to inform those who may not know.

I just took this screenshot a second ago.

Notice how calendar, mail, health etc all say "hrs ago". I struggled with how to get those apps to stop making data calls every two or so minutes….Turning off Siri suggestions fixed that problem once and for all…..

For the record "background app refresh" has been off since the very day I got the phone.

Has anyone else here discovered ways to get apps to stop running in the background (aside from the "turn background refresh off", because it clearly does not work in my experience)?

TLDR; Had problems with apps draining battery, turns out it was widgets and Siri "learning and suggesting apps".
