Posted: 22 Jan 2022 01:35 AM PST The other day my girlfriend realized she had not backed up her iPhone in a couple weeks. So I backed up the phone for her, after the backup was complete i was using her phone. All of a sudden when i went to her Messages, there was an iMessage thread to her ex boyfriend… but the most messages were from 2019 (we weren't together)… So im confused. Can someone elaborate on how that could happen? Why would text messages that are deleted come back on the phone if all i did was do a routine iCloud backup? Much appreciated if anyone can help. Posted: 21 Jan 2022 11:07 PM PST Here's how it happens: - I connect my iPhone to my PC - I open iTunes and select my iPhone - I click the "back up" button - iTunes starts showing the "backing up" loader - iTunes stops with no error after few seconds - The backup button is no longer greyed out and below the backup button it says the iPhone has never been backed up on this PC (meaning the backup I did a second ago didn't work) [link] [comments] |
Need assistance getting an old iphone backup Posted: 21 Jan 2022 06:46 PM PST Like the title says, I'll keep it simple a year and a half ago I got a new iphone, and i immediately backed up the information, a relative of mine passed away, i no longer have our images, texts, etc. I've backed up several times afterwards. how can i restore my iphone to the way it was when i had just gotten the phone? or does a backup overide the previous and it isn't like versions were you can revert. thanks [link] [comments] |
Recover deleted contact, please help Posted: 21 Jan 2022 05:20 PM PST I deleted a contact and their messages, and would like to find the number again. Surely it's possible? I'm not tech savvy and it was telling me if I restore on my iPhone by going to Summary tab in setting and clicking restore, it would work, but I can't find that on my phone? Endless appreciation if you can help! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 21 Jan 2022 05:18 PM PST iPhone SE 2nd Gen, running on iOS 15.2 I believe. to make a long story a bit shorter, I've been having issues with my iPhone being stuck in a boot loop. This has happened before (about three weeks ago), so I updated the software like last time. That did the trick for about twenty minutes before going back to how it was before. I figured I'd try a software update again to see if that would help, but I'm now getting a message that my iPhone doesn't have enough available storage for the update. I still can't use my phone though as it won't leave the restart screen. All of this to ask: Is there any way I can clear some data (photos, files, etc) off of my iPhone from my computer to free up the space I need for the update? not everything, just a portion. I tried signing in to iCloud but I can't get in without the verification code, which is sent to my phone, which doesn't work at the moment. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 21 Jan 2022 05:17 PM PST I'm unable to receive emails because I need to re-enter my password but all it says when I do that is that my account doesn't go there. Please tell me how to fix this. [link] [comments] |
