Neighbour is trying to acces my Apple TV, the pairing code appears often. Posted: 01 Jan 2022 10:14 PM PST This has happened a few times over the last weeks but how can they access my Apple TV when they don't have my wife code? I even changed it 2 days ago and hid my wifi name. How can I stop this. Is it possible that their not even using my wifi or is that a must in order to link up with Apple TV? The code for pair connection appears often now. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Jan 2022 07:48 PM PST Is there a way to link my steaming platform profiles with my appleTV profiles. For example, can I make it so if I am signed into the AppleTV and click Netflix it will automatically bring me into my Netflix profile instead of having to click on my Netflix profile in the Netflix app? Posted: 01 Jan 2022 11:41 PM PST Hi Guys, Just want your opinion on this, So on my Apple TV 4K I have Netflix installed and I also have a VPN Service which fully supports accessing Geo-Location blocked content on Netflix to access content from other regions than mine. Now unfortunately I can access all the Netflix Content of other regions with this VPN service on the iPhone on the iPad in the MAC but it does not work on Apple TV. Can you guys tell me what can I do ? I see there is a region setting in one of the Set Up Screens in Apple TV Could it be because the region in my Apple TV is set to something else and I am trying to access content of some other region ? Could this be blocking it, but that is when a service like VPN comes in to picture ? Doesn't it? Or is it that? even with the VPN service enabled of other region, but if the region in Apple TV is selected something else, I will still not able to access other region content than the region selected in my Apple TV for Netflix ? Your Thoughts ? Any help ? Thanks ! [link] [comments] |
Autoplay content when turned on? Posted: 01 Jan 2022 02:45 PM PST Let's say I'm watching a show on Hbo max, and I turn the apple tv off. When I turn it back on, the show will be paused. Is it possible to change a setting or something to have it automatically start playing upon wakeup? [link] [comments] |

Older apple tv and cannot see the device to mirror or share from an iPhone or iPad. Posted: 01 Jan 2022 04:51 PM PST I have recently installed an older apple TV (series 1 or 2) in my bedroom. This is my second apple TV and when I try an app such as Disney+, Netflix, Hulu I can screen cast from my iPhone and iPad to the original apple TV in the living room, no problem. However with this one in my bedroom, I can never see it as an option. I see my other living room apple TV & my Roku's, but not this bedroom apple TV. However, when I use the remote feature from my phone, that feature works great. It just is not seen for screen sharing. This was my girlfriends apple TV, I tried sharing right iff the bat with my stuff and nothing. So when this happened I totally restored the apple TV to factory settings and an updated OS. However, still nothing. This is not a huge deal except for the fact that I cannot download Disney+ or any other apps onto the Apple TV. So to watch those networks, I will need to share from my phone or my iPad. So if anybody can give me a suggestion, I would really appreciate it. [link] [comments] |
Dolby Vision upconvert bandwidth Posted: 01 Jan 2022 01:56 PM PST Hey everyone, I recently started watching Succession on CraveTV (Canada) and started noticing some odd white flashes while motion was occurring. My setup was 4k Dolby Vision 60hz, with frame match on but dynamic range match off. Note: This program on Crave does not support HDR and would be upconverted to DV When I put dynamic range match on it fixed my issue but ran in SDR, I also was able to verify that when I ran the original setup on a HDMI 2.1 port at 48GBps I didn't have a problem either and got artifact free DV as the output. However it got me thinking about the bandwidth that is being used and whether it is enough to run on a HDMI 2.0 port From my understanding 4k / 60 DV should run in under 18Gbps and as a result work on a HDMI 2.0 cable and port. So when Apple TV upconverts the original source to DV does it use more than the 18Gbps and start to introduce artifacts to the output? Also worth noting I have all certified cables. 2 - HDMI 2.1 and 2 - HDMI 2.0, Apple tests on the HDMI have all come back OK I also know this isn't a Processing issue because again this works just fine artifact free on a HDMI 2.1 port Can anybody add insight? Thanks [link] [comments] |
I subscribe to Apple TV+ and AMC+ but still have to pay for Kevin can F*** himself? Posted: 01 Jan 2022 05:52 PM PST Is there any other way to watch this show in Canada without shelling out even more money? Apple is staying $19.99 for the season. [link] [comments] |
