- I heard about this software called "Hide UI" which logs passcodes. How would it work when USB accessories are blocked unless the phone is unlocked?

| Posted: 02 Jan 2022 01:27 AM PST I searched several times about this but didn't find anything about it… I have a very specific bug that occurs very often : If I go into the photos app and look at any picture, then exit the app, 1/3 of the time the whole screen has washed out colors. Light white gray instead of deep gray, bright red instead of dark red, etc… everything looks horrendous like out of a cheap entry level screen With time I've tracked down the cause : when you look at pictures in the app, iOS temporarily boosts the screen colors to match HDR quality. When this bug happens, basically the screen keeps that HDR mode on even outside of the app and makes everything look bad… It is not device/hardware related because it started when I upgraded from an iPhone X to an iPhone 12 Mini last year, and kept happening on all phones after because I kept selling/upgrading (12 Pro, 12 Pro Max, 13 Pro, and currently 13 Pro Max). It never happened on any other iPhone prior to that, even back then when the X and 12 Mini were on the same iOS version (14), as said above it keeps happening now on a 13 Pro Max, on iOS 15. The only two solutions I found is :
