    TIL that dragging the shutter button immediately to the left will take a photo burst.

    In previous versions, we could take a burst by holding the shutter button. In IOS 15, they made holding the shutter take a video instead so I thought the only way to take a burst was holding the volume up button.

    my iPhone was stolen and find my iPhone says no location found but texts still deliver. What can I do?

    My phone was stolen out of my purse at a bar last night, and the bouncers said that is a problem they have had for a couple months. I have my location shared with my friends and every time we check it says no location found, but when we call or text it rings and says the messages deliver. Can whoever took the phone disable the find my app without unlocking it? I do not understand technology whatsoever and have no idea what to do at this point please help lol.

    "Hide my email is current unavailable" when attempting to send emails

    Has anyone had trouble (or not) when sending from a Hide My Email address? I'm using the Mail app in iOS and iPadOS.

    I wasn't aware that sending this way ever actually worked, which has made for a terribly frustrating transition to the new email services. Hoping to solve this so that I don't need to switch around addresses when replying, which is painful to do in the Mail apps. (Or otherwise greatly curb use of Hide My Email.)

    What does the caller id mean when it says verify and the location underneath

    Basically I got a call that literally shows up as the name being "Verify" and then the location underneath no new home number or anything? Anyone know what this might be?

    quick flicker

    hi!! i just got my iphone 13 a week ago and i noticed that there would be a quick flicker ONCE IN A WHILE when i close an app. has anyone experienced this or knows whats up? it may not seem like a big deal but im really nit picky ab certain things haha so id appreciate any input ^^ the link below is an example

    virus question

    how likely is it to get a virus on ios i was on reddit and i clicked a link that looked like a read more expand button i ran the website thru virustotal and it was mostly clean but some suspicious i came from android so i dont know much about ios, or viruses on ios. also if i were to pick up anything would resetting it for sure clear all that up? i should also mention i am on the latest version of ios (15.2) and my phone is not jailbreaked. thanks for any help in advanced

    Issue with calendar event invites

    Hello,

    I have an iPhone 12 and use an iCloud e-mail address, and my girlfriend has an iPhone 11 but uses Outlook for email. Each time I create an event in my calendar and add her as an invitee, she gets a notification right in the calendar app, and is able to accept the request. However, whenever she creates an event and adds me, it never shows up in the calendar app but goes to my mail app (as an e-mail with a .ics attachment). When I click the attachment, it creates a new event in my calendar which is not connected to the invite.

    Lately I've noticed that when I open my MacBook Air, open the mail app, click the attachment, and click "create event" when the calendar opens, it somehow figures itself out and the options to accept/maybe/decline the original event come up.

    Is there any way I can fix this so that the notifications will come on my iPhone calendar app, so I don't have to keep going on my laptop to accept invites?

    Widget scrolling issue on 15.2

    Got 13 mini and update to 15.2 Scrolling widget now is wierd. Try to scroll up and down but not responsive and sometimes act like i scroll left and right

    Anyone experiencing the same?

    Share files between linux and Iphone

    Hello, I run Manjaro linux with KDE

    I was wondering if their is a way to share files to and from my Iphone with my Linux desktop (through cable preferably, and using opensource/FOSS software)

    I have already tried Ifuse, however it not allowed me to view images and not access files

    I have many files stored within the files application on the Iphone and would like to transfer files between my Iphone and my desktop

    is their anyway to do this?

    With all the privacy improvements in iOS, are social media apps safe to use?

    Many years ago, for reasons I've largely forgotten, I quit using social media apps from big tech companies that commodify your information in favor of using safari to access their websites instead.

    I don't know if that practice was well-informed or not, but with all the privacy improvements that have been made to iOS in the past few versions, is there still a privacy advantage to be gained by accessing social media through Safari rather than apps? Using Safari can be less than user friendly at times, so if I can use the Twitter app instead, I'd like to give it a try. (Thanks!)

    Whatsapp auto chat backup not working

    Incoming Facetime call stopped and deleted a video I was recording. (iPhone 13 Pro)

    Has this happened to anyone else? I was recording a video of a special event and received a facetime phone call notification about 40 seconds in. I declined it and then the video immediately stopped recording. When I went to look for the video it was never saved. I assume it's not hiding anywhere, and I just got screwed by a bug or something.

    YouTube Notifications

    Anyone know how to enable sounds for YouTube notifications? Atm, my screen lights up or a banner displays but there's no sound. I've enabled sounds in the notifications settings and within the YouTube app but to no avail.

    Anyone know what is causing the App Store ratings to be so large and out of place? I’ve noticed other elements like this too. I suspect an accessibility setting is to blame. Can’t pinpoint it though. Any ideas? See picture

    IPhone X Screen is Black, Phone is On

    Randomly today my IPhoneX screen went blank and nothing I've tried has resolved this issue. I know the phone itself is working because when I plug a charger in, I hear the charging tone. I've tried doing a hard reset multiple times(vol up, vol down, hold power). I think the phone is actually resetting because I can't hear the charging tone for a couple minutes after attempting the hard reset while plugging in a charger, but the screen remains blank.

    I've owned this phone for a few months and I've never had any issues until now. I've been going out of my way to take care of the phone, I've never dropped it, no water damage, etc. This issue came up seemingly randomly. Has anyone else gone through this and found a solution?

    How to use Focus Mode to prevent work calls after hours, but allow personal calls from select people.

    Hello - I am trying to set up a personal focus mode in iOS15.2 to only allow call and imessage notifications from certain personal contacts after work hours.

    I have the schedule set up and enabled but the problem I'm having is if I select the people who are allowed but do not have the phone and imessage app allowed, I do not get notifications. If I allow the phone and message app along with select people, it allows calls and message notifications from all callers/senders.

    Is there a way to set up a focus mode to achieve this?

    How to detect when iOS & Android Apps are in close proximity

    I'm trying to build an app when any two users can be physically in close proximity and verify each other's identity.

    It needs to work cross platform between iOS and Android.

    I have though about using Bluetooth and NFC. But as far as my research can tell, its possible to achieve this using this.

    Is there a way through which I can scan for devices around me running the same app.
