Such as Messages (for the rest of the world) can be replaced by a number of other messaging platforms, or many people (including Marques himself) prefer using Dark Skies over the default Apple Weather app After over 10 years of my use of iOS, I finally ditched Safari and switched to Firefox (I was already using Firefox on my other devices) and I like it a lot more. Posted: 30 Jan 2022 08:42 PM PST We know that iCloud Private Relay is supposed to also handle DNS requests, unless the user has set up their own DNS resolver… When I do extended DNS leak test on: https://www.dnsleaktest.com everything shows as expected, it shows only the Egress proxy that Apple is using. But when I try a DNS Leak test on: https://dnsleak.com results show my ISP's DNS alongside Apple's chosen DNS provider(s). Is this supposed to leak? I wouldn't think so… Is dnsleak.com doing something that other sites aren't to bypass Apple's DNS? Extra note: if I use NextDNS (on a different device with Private Relay off) it only shows NextDNS as the DNS resolver on both sites. Was wondering what everyone else's results were? Thanks. The iPad is beautiful and probably the best tech I ever purchased. My only problem is about the keyboard predictions. So, I am using the iPad with the magic keyboard folio and I do a lot of typing in 3 languages, most of the time switching between them super fast. On Android with Gboard I could get predictions and autocorrect for 3 languages at once without changing the language and the auto correct and predictions were like way better than Apple's. So my questions are: Is there anyway that I can get this simultaneous auto correct for 3 languages ? And Is it possible to use Gboard with the keyboard Folio ? [link] [comments] | ||

I want it on outside of work hours. Do I need to set it to turn on 12am-8am and then 5pm-12am, and then 12am-12am on weekends? Or is there a better way to do it? I tried just setting it 5pm-8am but it was still on Personal at 9:30 this morning. I know I can set a work focus mode but it's those emails I want to ignore on my off time. Call me crazy, but my battery has been Draining faster than usual. The only difference is, my phone always has 5g UW now that my local cell towers have coverage, compared to only having 4G LTE. When I scan a document, the PDF file has 1.4 MB (with OCR). When I scan the same document using Readdle Scanner Pro, the file has 2.5 MB without scan compression and 2.4 MB with scan compression turned on. I have no problem with iPhones but always felt I needed more customization especially in years past before they really caught up with things like widgets. I cannot stand big phones and it's crazy to me no one has solved this problem on the Android side. My pixel 5 is fine and I'll try the s22 but have deeply considered the iPhone 13 mini. Almost all the numbers starts with the country code where I am, for example in the US it would be +1 I tried adding a number to my contacts without the country code and it worked fine. I also tried calling the number manually starting with the country code and it also worked fine. I have tried resetting the network settings which did not solve the issue. | Face ID suddenly started working again after iOS 15.3 update Posted: 30 Jan 2022 10:35 AM PST I know the title might sound funny but I'm wondering if anyone else experienced this as well. I've got an iPhone 11 Pro Max that I was really happy with until Face ID gradually started to fail after about one year of use, meaning it worked from time to time until it completely stoped working. Since the phone was already out of warranty I started looking for possible causes hoping that I could fix it. I tried to determine whether it was a software or a hardware issue, so I restored the phone using DFU mode, which in theory should completely wipe the system and reinstall the OS, but this didn't fix the problem, Face ID was still unresponsive. More precisely, the dot projector was not working. So I gave up trying to fix it since it was pretty clear to me this was a hardware issue and Face ID module repairs are way too complicated. In the meantime I kept using my phone without Face ID thinking I would sell it at some point and get a new one. I performed all the available updates and nothing changed, until recently. After updating to iOS 15.3 it started working again and this time it's stable and doesn't fail at all. I'm wondering what could have happened. Was there a buggy part of the system that didn't get wiped during the DFU restore process? Has anyone else experienced something similar? [link] [comments] | ||

Don't get me wrong, it's simple and very much like it's always been. But that's what I hate. Spotify has done a great job bringing music to me and assisting me to wander down rabbit holes and discover new music I would not have otherwise. I just don't get that with Apple Music.
