    How do I get pass this page? I recently got an 2007-2008 iMac and I have tried to factory reset it but the problem is that I do not know the Apple ID of the previous user so I can’t go beyond this page.

    I have tried running xartutil and resetting smc, but that didn't seem to work. No fingerprints to delete, and when I try to check the box such as use touch ID to unlock mac, it just gives me the failed touch ID screen. Any fixes?

    MacBook Air crashing and running fan constantly

    I have a 2020 MacBook Air that hasn't given me many problems in the almost-two years I've had it, but lately it seems to be having issues. It often will crash and completely shut off out of nowhere; I'll have programs open when all of a sudden my cursor will stop moving, I'll hear the fan whoosh and it shuts off. When it comes back on, sometimes the error report message reads "Intel CrashLog recorded due to unexpected reset" and nothing else. I've tried to reset the SMC like I've seen recommended, but a few days later it happens again.

    Now tonight I'm using my laptop just like always, nothing new or different, and the fan is running practically nonstop, getting louder and louder. I use Chrome as a browser and I know it eats up CPU space so I'm sure that's part of it (if need by I'll try to use Safari instead) but I've never had it cause the fan to run like this in the past. I ran a diagnostics test and it was good, even a quick virus scan and things were fine. Does anyone have any experience dealing with either of these problems or know of anything that can be done? I'd love to not have to take this laptop into the Apple store.

    PS: I'm also on MacOS Monterey Version 12.2 and have an Intel Core i3 Processor, if that makes a difference.

    I have a 1st gen iPad Air (A1474) that my Aunt gave me a while back. It's in great-looking condition, but the problem is, it won't turn on... at all. I tried charging it, I tried hard-resetting it by pressing down the home & power buttons, I tried cleaning the lightning port, I even tried the DFU mode. Nothing worked. I searched every forum, YouTube video, and internet thread I could trying to find a solution to fixing it, but nothing seemed to work. I have a feeling it might be internally damaged, however, my Aunt even said to me no damage was brought onto the device at all during its lifetime. So I'm just completely stumped, and I'll either have to find a solution or just replace the iPad entirely.

    Wireless iTunes Auto Backup

    When I try to install Mac OS X Yosemite on my usb drive on terminal, it always ends up with command not found. I have tried many times. Please help.

    Also I don't hear it when I play sound and my home is the last location.

    This seems really strange. How is that even possible? Apple support says it's accurate. Thoughts?

    (I'm desperate) Camera bug: unable to launch camera app

    Okay so I got a problem with my camera. (Screen record available below)

    This occurs since I updated to 15.2.1, and still occurs in 15.3

    Basically the default camera app will not launch the camera. It's just black, like if I cover the lens (i swear i didn't). Okay if you watch the video, it managed to launch the camera for about 2 sec and then it went black again. Usually it won't launch at all.

    What's weird is this problem occurs on: camera app, Instagram, take pic from WhatsApp chat, etc.

    But my camera does work in video calls and Snapchat (most of the time, but not ways. As seen in video).

    I have took my phone to the Apple Service Center. They checked the camera hardware and it's fine, all green in their diagnostics. They also have took it apart, reconnect the camera connector. They said the hardware is fine.

    So I tried itunes normal restore & DFU restore. None of this worked. Same problem even after all these attempt.

    Apple offered me to restore my phone, but I haven't let them because I have to pay $40, and what they will do is the same DFU restore as I already did. And if it still doesn't work, I still have to pay. So no thanks.

    Yeah Apple is also baffled by what happened with my phone.

    Any suggestions please?

    Hi all. Just having some trouble with my wifi turning itself on and off again. Wondering if anyone has any clues as to how to fix it. I’ve run it off two routers and hotspot off my phone and I’m still having the same problem. Updated to sierra and once again the problem remains. MacBook Pro, 2014.

    Has anyone swapped from iCloud to Google One?

    I recently came across Google One and that it works with Apple OS. That's pretty attractive for me as I use g drive for personal work and other projects so having it all upgraded under one plan would be great.

    My issue is that I'm very heavily involved in the apple ecosystem (mainly with my iPhone and macbook) and I love the ease of access across devices.

    Does anyone have any experience with using Google One with same circumstances? I imagine it won't be as seamless as iCloud but if it's close enough I could probably make the sacrifice.

    Update to Monterey looks like it combined Macbooks

    My fiancé just updated her work MacBook Air to Monterey and it appears that when it finished, it installed/downloaded all of her folders and files from her personal Macbook onto the work Macbook Air and put the Macbook Air desktop files into a folder. She shares the same Apple ID between the two, but needs the files/macbooks to remain separate as they were before the OS update.

    I'm a PC guy so I'm lost.

    iPhone taking literal days to upload photos to iCloud. Can I speed it up?

    I have a 256GB iPhone X and was gifted a family members old 128GB 12 pro. I have over 140GB of photos and videos on my iPhone 12 Pro. My partner recently got the 2TB iCloud plan so we did family sharing to upload my photos to iCloud.

    It's now been 2 full days, iCloud says it's only got 37.6GB of my photos uploaded, and the storage page in general settings says it's only uploaded 2% of my photos and the local storage on my phone hasn't decreased at all.

    I can't find anything genuinely helpful online for this, and anything on the topic basically just says "yeah iCloud's slow, deal with it". Is there anything I can do? Please, I just want to use my new phone!

    MacBook Pro won’t start up, getting blue and grey screens + horizontal lines... will not enter the Login page

    I have a 2011 Mac Book Pro. I know it's stuck on 1.13... or something like that, because it's an older model. I'm not too tech savvy and this is my first MacBook.

    I tried to start my laptop, it chimed the normal "turning on" jingle, and then I was greeted to a modified version of the Apple start up screen. There was a loading bar, but it was pixelated and the lines of the bar weren't straight. There were horizontal lines streaking the screen and the background was a white-grey.

    I keep turning it on and off by pressing & holding. It flashed the infamous "blue screen of death," so I turned it off, then tried and failed to enter Safe Mode. It is now stuck on a grey screen.

    I do not have a warranty on it since I bought it over a year ago online. I've had no previous issues.

    What do you recommend I try? Should I unscrew the back and clean the battery?

    TLDR; my 2011 Mac Book pro won't start up past the Apple logo loading bar. I keep getting blue or grey screens, and a pixelated start up screen. What should I try?

    Sudden black screen and max fans out of nowhere 2017 iMac

    So I was browsing Reddit and clicked on a link to a YouTube video, and the screen immediately went black and the fans started going full blast. I panicked and held the power button to force it off. In the last few seconds before it turned off I was able to hear the start of the YouTube video. Now all I get is a chime and the fans going full blast, the only progress that was made was changing my volume from low where I left it to default after a pram reset. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

    Using Bluetooth Numpad on M1 Air Causes Ping Sound

    Hello Applehelp Community!

    I have a peculiar situation. Recently, I bought a Microsoft number pad as a gift, and tried to connect it to a Macbook Air. It asked for me to push a button to the "right of the return key" which does not exist on this number pad. Regardless, it just asked for a keyboard type and allowed me to use it still. The number pad does in fact work; however, it now produces an error-like ping any time a number or math operator is pressed. Weirdly, backspace does not create a sound. I have tried searching around to see if there was any solutions. I have found solutions for Windows, but nothing much for MacOS. Thank you for any help with this!     Easier way to remove filevault?

    I work as a tech for an ebay reseller, I get a small influx of laptops, a few macbooks.

    I have no access to any information on the previous customer.

    And I have no control over those who buy them, to do a thorough job, all I can do is make the most of what is in front of me.

    I rarely get macbooks, but last week got a macbook pro, that had filevault encryption on it.

    Usually we get ones that have it on there, and sell for parts.

    Because it is very hard to format the hard drives and remove it.

    My integrity is such, that I want to make sure the new owner gets a clean, fully reset, fully updated, laptop pc or apple.

    One of my hackish work arounds, has been to try to go to recovery mode, and try to delete each partition, drive, then go and reinstall macos.

    And this one macbook, would refuse to let me delete it without the apple username and password, (which I will never have access to).

    Is there a better way with no previous account information, to factory reset, format the hard drive fully, etc?

    I was able to remove some of the partitions on this one, and install macos, but the two old unremovable partitions are still there, and had to be sold that way.

    But in the future, I want to know and learn enough to fully reformat and reset.

    Is there an easier way?

    Screen rotation on FaceTime

    When on FaceTime with someone the screen rotates. I have the auto rotate locked, I have tried repeatedly locking and unlocking it. I have also restarted my iPhone 12 Pro Max ( IOS 15.3 ) . Is this a bug in the the update? Am I able to fix this? Please and thank you in advance

    what is the average battery capacity drop one should expect on an iphone 12 PM

    i have had my iphone 12 PM for 6 months, and my battery capacity just dropped to 99%.

    i just updated from ios 14.8.1 to 15.3 a few days ago, so i hope that is just a coincidence that it dropped. i feel like i've noticed my battery draining a little faster but it could be me being crazy.

    what is the average battery capacity drop one should expect with an average - heavier use?
