- I’ve had a Series 4 in the past and when I would receive a call, I would click the icon on Apple Watch and it would transfer call to my AirPods. Now, it simply picks up on my Watch with the loudspeaker, while I still have my AirPods in. All my devices are up to date. What’s going on? Thanks. ;)

| Sent my Series 4 in for a battery replacement, Apple sent back a brand new Watch Posted: 05 Nov 2021 03:28 PM PDT I was pleasantly surprised today when I discovered Apple sent me a new Series 4 after I sent my old one in for a battery replacement. My S4 was three years old, so it was well out of the AppleCare warranty period. Its battery health was down to 78%, which qualified me for service. I had to pay a $100 fee but I figured that was a small price to pay to extend its life by a few more years. I never expected Apple to send back a brand new one! Maybe that's standard practice for a battery replacement, but it surprised the heck out of me. To be specific, Apple matched the model I sent in spec for spec (S4 44mm gold aluminum cellular). Not an upgrade, just a straight replacement. So yeah, if you're on the fence about replacing your battery for whatever reason, it's worth the fee! [link] [comments]  | ||

It is connected to my iPhone. Just seems to be stuck in "checking for Mail" every few days. I got my iphone 13 yesterday and switched over, got my watch all set up and everything looked fine. Went on two walks yesterday and both synced to the fitness app. Essentially everything looks as it should, except for my total calories. They do not include the calories burned during my walk, even though my move number is correct and the walks are listed at the bottom of Nov 5th summary page. I have gone through every step I can find online, including restarting, unpairing and repairing, double checking all my settings (i've had a watch for three years now so I'm pretty comfortable with the various setting options). Now with my Series 7, the original Sport Band that came with it has so much play on one side that it can stick out 2/3 mm. I am in contact with Support about this. But my two other straps (Apple Nylon sport band, and Ali leather) also have some slack (these were 38mm straps). Is some slack now normal or have I already switched bands too often?
