You promote a show about alien invasion and then make me watch Lord of the Flies and Black Hawk Down segments only to make them vaguely relevant in the last few seconds? You put Sam Neill on the poster and then make him disappear for three episodes? I'm sorry, I get the notion of suspensful writing but there's also incoherent writing. | Power off Samsung The frame with Apple TV remote Posted: 06 Nov 2021 03:44 AM PDT I'm trying to power off my Samsung The Frame TV(2021) with Apple TV(4K 2nd generation). Right now I have to power off both devices separately. Turning off Apple TV switches to Art mode on Samsung TV. I have read that this should be possible. At least with previous versions of The Frame. I have played around with settings on both devices and power efficiency settings on TV with no success. Does anyone have similar setup and solution? [link] [comments]  |

| Posted: 06 Nov 2021 03:36 AM PDT For a few months now, when I reset the video settings, 4K HDR is set as the default. Before that, Apple TV always selected Dolby Vision. Has anyone else noticed this? I've also read here that 4K SDR in combination with Adapt to Content would be the better option. What is your opinion on this? What settings do you have? I can access channels, Apple TV +, and my iTunes library, but cannot install apps like you would on a standalone Apple TV. ETA: the LG OS has an App Store but AMC+ is not available. I recently got a free AMC+ subscription through my cell phone provider—I have a log-in that I created through the AMC+ app (completely independent of my Apple ID$ When I try to access the AMC+ channel through the Apple TV app, the only option is to set-up a free trial. I can't figure out how to log-in to an existing account. Has anyone run into this? Help! Thanks [link] [comments]  |

I'll select a game and the stream will straight up freeze after a given time(usually no more than ten minutes)? This shit is annoying as I am a big hoops fan and NBA games are my entertainment of choice on most nights. My Roku Ultra in another room doesn't have this issue. [link] [comments]  |

| Strange Bluetooth interference problem with Apple TV 4K Posted: 05 Nov 2021 11:44 AM PDT Hi, I use my Apple TV 4K as HomeKit Hub, it works great when it's sleeping, however when when it's on, all my Bluetooth HomeKit accessories lost connection (no response in HomeKit). I also noticed when it's on, My Somfy TaHoma switch also stops responding. All problems are gone immediately when I put it back to sleep. Initially I thought it was due to WiFi, so now I connect it to Ethernet but the problem still exists. Anybody here also experience similar problem? [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 05 Nov 2021 06:11 AM PDT I have a 3rd gen ATV in the kitchen and the remote lost connnwction. So I'm charging it and, oddly, it can change the tv volume but everything else seems dead. I tried restarting the ATV and trying to pair using the menu + volume up button but no luck. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. [link] [comments]  |
| Apple TV (3rd gen) airplay not working over wifi? Posted: 05 Nov 2021 09:05 AM PDT I have a 3rd gen apple TV I bought for the sole purpose of being an airplay device for a stereo that's across the house from my router. It shows up as an airplay device when connected via ethernet but not when connected to my router via wifi. My router is a TP-LINK Archer AX50/AX3000 which I have upgraded to the latest firmware (1.0.11) Wifi security settings are set to: Security: WPA/WPA2 Personal Version: WPA2-PSK Encryption: AES There is no option to force WPA2 as the security other than the version option where it already is I've tried turning off and on 5ghz, smart connect, IGMP snooping, IGMP Proxy, wireless multicast forwarding and still nothing. Router and apple TV reset after each. I've tried connecting from a 2016 macbook pro, a 2012 macbook pro, an iphone x and an iphone 7 after each change. I'm really tearing my hair out here, does anyone have any ideas of what else to try? If I can't get this working I've wasted my money as I have no other use for the apple TV. [link] [comments]  |
