    Weird battery drops on iPhone 7 and iPhone Xr

    Since a couple of days my SO and I get battery drops of up to 40% without even using our phones. For example, we check our phone at 1pm, 60%. We don't use our phone. We check again at 4pm, 4%. The battery view in settings shows a really sudden drop, so it's not just constant high usage. Nothing in the apps really gives away what could be using so much battery so suddenly.

    This is on two different phones, mine is older but hers is only 1 or 2 years old max.

    We recently upgraded to iOS 15.0.1, could this be related?

    Sound lowers when opening game

    Hi, I have a iPhone 12 pro max running on ios 15.0.1 Everytime i listen to music whether with airpods or just with the speakers of the phone self it lowers the volume significantly when opening a game.

    On google there's only posts about this dating back to 2016. I wonder if there's new information out there about how to fix it.

    I don’t have access to the data I need to back up a significant amount of photos and video to my iCloud. Will I lose all my photos if I reset my old iPhone after transferring them to my new iPhone?

    I had an iPhone 8Plus, I got a new iPhone 12. I transferred the data from my old phone to my new phone using the QuickStart feature. All photos and videos are displaying on my new phone no problem.

    The problem: Before I got my new iPhone 12, a significant amount of photos and videos on the 8Plus were not backed up because I didn't have the iCloud space.

    When I used QuickStart, everything transferred to the new phone, including the un-backed up photos and videos. So I can see them on my new phone. They are still not backed up (there are thousands and I have a data access issue at the moment so can't just do it, or I would).

    I would like to give the 8Plus to someone but need to reset it. If I do, will all my un-backed up photos and videos disappear from my new phone too?

    Edit, added: I don't have a PC or Mac available, so backing up there or using software isn't an option.

    Hello. Back to iPhone after a long shift to Android... My last iPhone was a 3gs. I could use some help with things that are bugging me, please.

    Clock app alarms: I'd love to find an alarm app that can do the following things: fade in the alarm sound, show the alarm going off and snooze/dismiss buttons over the lock screen without having to unlock with face id or the passcode, briefly display how many hours and minutes until the alarm will go off. Alarmy does some of these things, but not the show over lock screen, and doing $60/ year subscription pricing for an alarm app is kinda silly?

    Cursor placement: can't figure this out. Sometimes a tap in a paragraph will put the cursor at the end of a word and other times it'll place it at the start of a word, neither of which is where I tapped (e.g. inside a word). Apparently iOS no longer lets you place the cursor inside a word, you have to place at the front or back and drag to another spot, but even that front or back thing behaves inconsistently.

    Gboard (all keyboards?) tap sensitivity: Android's Gboard has a long press duration setting, but can't find that in iOS. Some taps l unexpectedly register as glides or long presses. Very annoying.

    Back to alarm clocks: any way to see the next scheduled alarm on the home screen, widget or on the notification page?

    How to switch between home screen themes on iOS 15

    Ive seen a lot of people who can just open their control centre and have a feature to switch their home screen themes back and forth and Ive been trying to figure out how to do that but anything i google to try and find how to get it only shows me home screen ideas. I just want to be able to switch home screens without having to commit to a whole new one but i cant figure it out. I have an IPhone 11 if that changes anything.

    safari download keeps pausing

    I'm downloading a 5 gigabyte file and after every 40 megabytes or so, it stops, and I have to press the x and then the refresh symbol so it can start again. It doesn't start from the beginning but it starts from where it paused. This was happening before I updated to iOS 15 and it's still present. Is it a connection issue or what?

    iPhone charging fast then dying fast

    It's an X I've had it for about 4 years (I got it around when It released)

    My phone is charging fast and dying fast

    It's charging really fast (a couple Percent every minute) while I'm using it and it heats up while it does it. Then it goes down a percent every minute when I use it.

    The charger im using has a small crack in it. If I buy a new charger, will the phone charge/die normally or is my phone absolutely fucked?

    Or am I just tripping, and phones have always charged/died this fast?

    files app displaying wrong date for some files?

    i recently started to use the files app to backup raw photos/prores videos since dropbox doesn't support those files types, but one thing that i noticed is that the files app sorts some files under a different date than what it was taken on(but the stock photos app is displaying the correct date). i'm not sure how or where the files app is getting the dates that it's sorting some of these files by. is there any way to change the date created in the files app?

    I have recently purchased the new iPhone 13 pro and already have battery problems. A few days ago I noticed that it said Twitter was running in the background for 12 hours and I didn't even have Twitter installed. I think there is a problem with my phone or rogue apps are causing this to happen. I have already reset my phone to factory new and it HAS NOT fixed the problem. I am now worried for my phone. Does anyone know the fix?!?!

    Iphone 12 Screen Issues

    So, I work for T-Mobile and I'd say I'm fairly qualified when it comes to dealing with phones. That being said.. I literally have no idea what's going on with it.

    My phone has no cracks, water damage or really any scratches. I've only had it since January of this year and my auto brightness is turned off and yet the screen keeps flashing bright (by flashing bright i mean, displaying as it would on maximum brightness) and then dimming. And it isn't even like it's gradual like it is with auto brightness turned on? It's random and sudden.

    I'm within warranty and of course have insurance. (Duh, I work for a phone company.) I just am not sure if it's an issue with the phone itself or if it's fixable on my end.

    Apps keep crashing or won’t open

    Hi all,

    Hoping someone can help. For a few months now the apps on my phone (a different app every time) will randomly decide not to open. Sometimes the app opens quickly and then immediately crashes. Sometimes, if I wait a little, it then lets me open it, other times I have to restart my phone to open the app again.

    Also, apps will randomly crash for no reason at all. Originally, I was also unable to update my iPhone or back it up. I was able to finally do both these things by both resetting my iPhone to factory settings and not restoring from Backup (to see if there was an error in one of my backups).

    Has anyone encountered this before and is there any fix? I can't think of what else I could do and I'm wondering if it must be a hardware issue? I would hate to get a new phone only to find out the same issues are happening. When I factory reset my phone, the only thing that saved was what was saved to iCloud (contacts, notes, etc.)- nothing I would think would impact this but I could be wrong?

    iPhone Battery Health

    Currently running IOS 14 on an iPhone 12, about to update to IOS 15. I've looked through all the settings for a way to disable third party vibrations, but could not find anything. I just want the sound and the visual notification banner without a haptic vibration for third party apps. Thanks.
