    My friend was forced to give his passcode and password to his Apple ID. They changed the associated phone number on the account to one of theirs, and changed the password to a new one. After getting access to his other accounts back, one of the last accounts we can't get access to is his Apple ID.

    Apple says they can't go through with account recovery since he can't provide the new phone number. Even though we deactivated the sim in his old phone, they probably still have access to everything else on his phone, since we can't log into Find My iPhone. We are completely stuck. Does anyone have any ideas?

    iphone 7 Plus Audio IC issue

    So I have an iPhone 7 Plus that was just given to me. They said one day they couldn't make or receive calls cus there's no sound. I figured this was the typical audio ic failure as has been well documented. However... YouTube plays audio just fine. I can play back prior recorded voice notes. The phone doesn't take long to boot (they say an audio ic issue causes the phone to take 3-5 minutes to boot, however this phone boots in 10 seconds.). However it does seem to have the other issues, mic doesn't work, loudspeaker greyed out in call, no sound coming from earpiece and proximity sensor doesn't work either. Any ideas what may be going on? Is it still the audio ic, but for some reason only some issues are happening? Just looking for some insight before I recruit a company to repair it. Thanks!

    Also, proximity sensor doesn't work but camera works fine. Thanks!

    Iphone 8 in 2021? Is it still fast?

    I would buy an SE 2020 but it costs 100 euros more. Is iPhone 8 still fast now? Does it lose apps in background constantly? I have a Huawei P20 now but i miss iOS and i want to go back to iPhone but i dont have much money. There were some posts of people complaining that their iPhone 8 is starting to lose apps in background, and im surprised because everyone i know that still uses iPhone 8 says that its still fast

    My 2016 13inch Macbook Pro screen is flickering and the colours are off. This started about a month ago and seems to be getting progressively worse. Does anyone have a clue as to what might cause this?

    i forgot my passcode SOMEONE ASSIST

    so i changed my passcode when i was tired and i changed it wrong twice and it actually changed and i am locked out of my device so i called apple support they said i need to wipe my device and im in a rural area so no apple stores i can goto to fix it so i cant remember my password bc it was on the device then it now says iphone locked to owner what can i do to fix this problem and IDK WHAT TO DO IT HAS been making me suicidal and loosing hope now idk what to do i cant even call family could anyone help me?? thanks

    Short code messages not syncing with message app on iMac

    EDIT - In case anyone else finds this searching for the same issue. Looks like when I updated from the iPhone 11 to the 13, message forwarding got turned off. It is in settings -> messages -> text message forwarding

    I have an iMac 5k 27" 2017, Big Sur 11.6

    Short code messages (mainly 2FA messages) are not syncing on my message app on the iMac, they show up on my iPhone 13 pro.

    It was nice to be able to auto insert the code into the website I was trying to log into, but now they are not coming to my iMac I am missing out in the feature.

    I can't figure out whats wrong with my Mac. Websites aren't loading properly on multiple browsers, and i keep getting "this website is not secure" notifications on secure sites like Wikipedia

    Some background info before I explain the problem further:

    Mac: Macbook Pro (Mid 2012), OS X El Capitan Version 10.11.6

    Since last week my Mac has been having trouble loading websites. Wikipedia/RYM/Letterboxd/etc. secure sites, give me invalid certificates. When i surpass the warning, Wikipedia does not load images, RYM does not load properly (the homepage is all out of order, and won't let me log in, and also won't load images.)

    Video sites that aren't YouTube or a paid streaming service will not load videos. Just a black screen.

    I've already followed instructions to change my DNS to Google's 8.8.8.8, made sure my time and date preferences were valid, cleared history, and cleared caches. Nothing has worked.

    If anyone has any idea what's going on, and how to help, it would be very much appreciated.

    Stolen iPhone 13 Pro Mystery

    So I preordered 2 iPhone 13 Pros off Apples website the day after they launched and also doing a trade into AT&T.

    They were set to deliver Friday and were both scanned out for delivery Friday. I kept an eye out on my door bell camera and when UPS showed up, I talked to him through the doorbell while I was at work, he only had one phone but saw that there was another package for our address. He went back to his truck to check for the second one and couldn't find it. But said if he found it later he would try to make the delivery or it could have been scanned wrong and put on a different truck or still at the hub. It was whatever at the time, I had him put the one he had inside my house and rescheduled with UPS to just have it held at a location near my house so I could just pick it up when it was delivered there in case I messed the next deliver attempt and couldn't open the door for him to place in my house.

    Moving on to tonight, I've been using the new iPhone that was delivered and my wife has been using her same phone still and we were on the couch and I sent her a picture of our baby while we aren't more than 10 ft away from each other while he slept. We text back and forth a few time and then I get a message from my wife's number which I was JUST texting with who is sitting on the same couch as me, the text says "who is this?"

    I look up from my phone at her and she's on hers and I said out loud, "that's me? What do you mean who's this?" And she said she doesn't know what I'm talking about and then it gets even more weird. I show her the text I sent her and she looks at her phone and as she's looking at mine HER NUMBER is texting me back. The iMessage bubbles are popping up like its typing. Now we're freaking out. We look at my wife's phone and it has no bars. So who is texting me?? I text the number back asking how they're texting from that number. And it replies no number, just email. I ask a few more questions but now I'm catching on that he has my wife's new iPhone 13 that was never delivered.

    The person said they just bought the phone from a parking lot of a grocery store for 300 bucks and I told him I was turning it off and reporting it stolen so he'd be out a phone anyway. He apologized to my surprise and said he was going back to find the guy. Good luck.

    To wrap up, I'm calling AT&T and UPS tomorrow because they're closed now. But I was able to open an investigation with apple thankfully. I also suspended the service on my wife's phone for now.

    My question is, how would that guy be using my wife's number from the new phone? And what the hell else I could do?

    Thanks for any replies. I'm just super confused and hoping they don't have any other info from her account or anything.

    Genius bar told me my only option is to buy a new phone as my current phone is out of warranty. Made the sorry mistake of not buying apple care but my phone is 20 months old...

    “Lost Mode Pending” on iPad, but location is updating?

    I left my iPad mini (which had no passcode lock set) behind at the gate of a departing flight. I tried to activate Lost Mode a few hours later when I realized, and was told Lost Mode was pending until my wifi-only iPad came back online again.

    2 days later, I've noticed the location on Find My is actively updating every 30 mins or so (but not moving) yet Lost Mode still shows as pending. Playing a sound is also stuck on pending, but I'm getting the occasional "iPad seen" notifications on Find My. Huh?? If the iPad is online and able to show it's location, shouldn't Lost Mode show as either activated or disabled? Does anyone know what could be going on?

    Also, I changed all the passwords of sensitive apps (ie Google) on the iPad, but I'm afraid of resetting my iCloud password — because I assume kicking the iPad off my iCloud account will cause me to lose access to Find My, is this correct? Wondering what kind of damage could be done with my signed-in iCloud account?

    Upgraded from xs max to 13 pro max..storage aint adding up

    Before I upgraded from my xs max 512gb to the 13 pro max 1tb, i had used around 472GB of internal iphone storage.

    I did a full backup of the xs max 512 before trading it in. When i got the 1tb 13 pro max and did a restore, my storage shows I have 730GB free. Which means only around 294GB restored.

    That doesnt sound right since the restore should have used 472GB out of the 1TB.

    Did all my stuff fully restore? I left my iphone on wifi and plugged in so it could finish restoring. It doesnt say anything is pending.
