    how to delete photos from iphone but not icloud?

    i feel like an grandpa right now. i got out of a relationship awhile ago and i have hidden all the pictures of me and my ex. my iphone storage is getting pretty full though and thought it's time to delete these from my phone. I do want to keep them just in case i ever want to look back at them. i've been trying to move them to my icloud but whenever i delete one off my phone it deletes it from the cloud. is there any other way to keep them? i'm trying to move them to my macbooks storage but also not sure how to do that. thanks ! :)

    i have an old ipod 5th gen that im locked out of. long story. years ago one of my childhood "friends" stole it and put a passcode on it. i managed to get it back but never got the passcode. well i recently just found it again and would love to be able to go through my old camera roll but i know i cant get on my ipod without factory resetting it. is there anything else i can do? could i take out the harddrive and connect it to a computer or something. im willing to do anything at this point

    Apple Card Info Needed!

    My mom got declined for the Apple credit card and only did it to get a new iPhone and do monthly payments from apple. She was thinking of letting my stepdad apply for it as he probably has a bigger possibility of getting accepted, but he doesn't own any apple products nor has an Apple ID, but they say you can still apply for it, but obviously won't have any of the features as if he had an iPhone. Would he be able to apply and connect it with my moms Apple ID? Or as another option, can she be a co-owner and THEN add it to her Apple ID?

    I tried using the option key, but I can't seem to cycle around any other characters. For example, option + a gives me å. I can't choose any of the other special characters.

    So. Been breaking my teeth over the iOS 15 update. Can connect to Wi-Fi but the symbol won't display. Siri not responsive. YouTube/YT Music pages loading but no playback because "no connection". Apple Music cannot connect to server. VPN switch toggling out of control. Keyboard less responsive. Etc. Connected via 5g/Lte/Wi-Fi but not actually connected enough to do anything I would normally be doing. Not necessarily the end of the world but just annoying enough to make me consider breaking my damn phone. I was literally in the process of attempting to downgrade back to iOS 14 about 5 minutes ago when I turned off Find My, went into General/VPN & Device Management to delete the iOS profile but then I noticed that there wasn't a profile there. However the VPN bar that says "not connected" was toggling to "connected" rapidly just like the switch on the main settings page. So I tapped on it. Saw that one of my VPN apps has a configuration that I never created. So I deleted it. Immediate the Wi-Fi symbol is back on the top of the screen, Siri is responsive, and I can connect to everything previously unavailable. Keyboard is still a little sluggish but I think a lot of people are still complaining about that so we'll see. Anyway, if you've been having any of my issues and you happen to have a vpn app or vpn configuration (intentional or otherwise) hope this helps.

    did IOS 15 remove Headphone Audio Levels for wired earbuds???

    it hasn't been tracking it since I updated on the 26th. This was a very good feature for me since I listen to a lot of music and I do not see a reason why they would remove it. Is it gone for anyone else??

    New iMac is very slow

    I bought a brand 27 inch iMac about 3 weeks ago. It was great for the first two weeks, but it is now very slow. When I type there is a delay, when I push down caps lock there is a delay and sometimes it doesn't work. I've turned off slow keys and put the setting to the fastest to see if it speed up but it doesn't. Scrolling on certain apps is very slow and unresponsive but initially it was smooth and responsive. I don't have much open in the background, sometimes 2-3 emails are left open that I need to get back to throughout the day. Why is my iMac so slow? Is it something I'm doing or have done, which has resulted in it becoming unresponsive?

    Block texts based on content instead of sender?

    My carrier is notorious for spam. They keep sending texts every 6 hours or so about how I can upgrade my plan to enjoy better benefits, etc.

    Thing is, they send the text from a text sender ID not a number so I just can't block it. Even if I could I'd still want some other stuff they send like my remaining balance, etc.

    Is there any app on iPhone that can block texts (auto delete or even mute) based on certain text strings/phrases?

    I changed the email that my Apple ID is attached to, but now my mail app isn’t changing to it. It still shows mails from my old email. I tried changing it in settings but now it shows (the picture) but idk what it means or what to do?

    Iphone 8 plus 256 wont complete backup on computer.

    Long story short. Wife's 8 plus 256 GB iPhone (72 gb free on the phone itself) will not backup on the computer. Let it sit over night and nothing. Retry again - same result- 3-7 hours - and % bar shows nothing (but takes up 130Gb of space or all the harddrive space avaliable (400 gb) with 400kb remaining.

    Things I checked and did with my iPhone( 6 plus- no problems) - Changed cables, restarted phone, updated itunes, even used a 3rd party backup program (stayed at zero% but took up 72 GB of space) all no luck.

    The dedicated hardrive - 500 GB (429 gb free) keeps claiming only 400 KB left after hours into the backup.

    I try again with my phone- no problem.

    What am I missing?

    Cursor on MacBook Air won’t move at all on log in screen

    I need help. My MacBook Air won't let me log in and I need it urgently for an exam next week.

    I tried to use my Mac and it started up on the log in screen, for me and my guest user.

    The cursor/trackpad will not move when I try to click on my username. I have rebooted it using a wide variety of start up combos, control R, control V, shift, control alt shit, command shift R, command shift R P - you name it.

    Every single time it simply takes me to the password reset screen.

    I then tried to reset my password using my Apple ID to see if it would work. I reset it then rebooted. It then just took me back to square one - the log in screen where the cursor doesn't move. The cursor moves fine on the password reset screen.

    I need some urgent advice as I need my computer to do an exam from home on Wednesday and our local Genius Bar here in Northern Ireland has a week long back log on bookings.

    Apple Pay fraud alert?

    Trying to text some $$$ via Apple Pay and I get a "Fraud Suspected" message stating. "This request has been flagged as suspicious and may be a scam. If you send money, it will not be refunded and transactions cannot be reversed."

    So, besides never having tried to send that large an amount before, where did I go wrong here? I don't recall setting a limit on transactions. My debit card has been linked and used often for over a year.

    How is it fraud when I'm the one sending $$$ from my own account on my own iPhone? What could I have done to get this amount sent?

    iPhone 8 Plus screenshots in invert colours + other issues

    I have a iPhone 8 Plus

    When ever I take a screenshot of a normal app, the screenshot is saved in inverted colours in my camera roll.

    I have smart invert, normal invert and colour filters disabled. This has only started happening after I updated to IOS15.

    I have already tried updating to iOS15.1, Force Restarting and Reset Network Settings.

    I have also experienced some other issues including my phone booting in smart invert whenever I restart as well as some aspects of the home screen being a solid brown rather than the usual transparent.

    Alarm Won’t Play Downloaded Music

    I recently upgraded from the 12 pro to the 13 pro. I cannot get my alarm to play music. ANY music. I have Apple Music. And the song is downloaded to my phone. I've tried several songs. I've tried adding abs removing songs from my library. Nothing works. The alarm just vibrates. If I choose a tone it works fine. Any suggestions?

    My phone completely broke today, it had been cracked prior but now it is green, has a lots of multicolour stripes, the bottom of the screen is barely functionable, and I can't really tap the screen.

    I also was unable to back it up to my computer or icloud.. even after spending an hour trying to tap TRUST on the screen.

    I was never able to back up anything, I need my phone to login to almost all of my accounts across the web and I've lost years worth of irreplaceable pictures.

    If this is possibly able to be fixed, what is wrong with it if it's green?? and if so, what sort of price range are we looking here???
