    I've googled this extensively and can not fix this issue.

    I have an iPhone 7 that currently can't make or receive phone calls (no sound). Speakerphone option is disabled, voice to text doesn't work. No sound when I record videos.

    I CAN play videos/hear sound on all my apps (YouTube works, etc)

    Using wireless headphones does allow me to make calls. Wired headphones did not work.

    I've thoroughly cleaned the speakers, messed with all the settings I can think of and nothing works. I really don't want to buy a new phone over this issue.

    Any help?

    iPhone 7 plus / restore data after failed attempts

    a friend of mine owns iPhone 7, woke up dizzy one day and attempted to login multiple times and it didnt work.. now they are stuck on iCloud login to recover the data but they did not format the device nor are willing to until they get the data.

    Problem is they didnt backup data on iCloud but want to restore the stuff from the phone now.

    Any clues? Its running 13.4 I think

    My iPhone 8+ is stuck in a boot loop

    Hello. My iPhone has been stuck in a boot loop for 12 hours now, and I am very scared as my parents are very strict about these stuff. I have tried to hard reset the phone and it does not work at all. I do not know if I have backed up my phone at all and I do not want to lose any of my data. Please, what should I do?

    iPhone 4 stuck in various loops when connected to power source

    I have an old iPhone 4 that is updated to its max that used to work fine, but now it won't switch on. However, when I plug it into a power source, one of the 3 things listed below happens:

    1. Displays Apple logo for a few seconds, screen goes black, repeat
    2. Displays red battery charging logo for a few seconds, screen goes black repeat
    3. Displays Apple logo, screen goes black, displays red battery charging log, screen goes black repeat

    I can't get the device into recovery mode, as the screen displays Connect to iTunes forbarely 1 second, then goes back to one of the loops listed above.

    I can get the device into DFU mode. But when i try to restore, the iPhone suddenly disconnects from the PC during the "Preparing iPhone for restore" stage (I can hear the disconnecting sound on my PC) and then goes back to one of the loops.

    Just got my 12 pro how do I stop this? Happens like 20 times a day, also I’m getting rand o phone calls all day and every time I answer I just hear heavy breathing on the other side.

    iPhone keeps restoring pictures

    • iPhone stuck on Apple logo due to low storage space
    • Update via iTunes to latest iOS allowed phone to boot, I can see all of my photos in the Photos app
    • Wifi/Cellular data is off, airplane mode is on
    • iCloud is disabled

    I need to delete photos to free up storage space but literally cannot delete anything. When I delete a photo, I can see the animation for the photo being deleted but it immediately shows back in the camera roll.

    Any advice on what to do here?

    Water damage - Permanent or Temporary?

    I dropped my iphone X in the shower for a few seconds. It wasn't submerged by any means, but definitely got some water on it. Now, the screen is unresponsive, and there are many ghost touches. However, the behavior is a bit weird. If I let the iphone sit vertically for 10 minutes, it becomes fully functional, and I can use it for a few minutes before the screen is useless again. If I hold it horizontally, however, it doesn't improve at all. This leads me to believe that there is just water inside and it needs to dry, and the water is moving when I change the position of the phone. However, if someone thinks this could still be permanent damage, I'll take it to Apple tomorrow. Any ideas?

    I really don’t get why there is no brackets on the original screen undersurface while on every online video there are brackets on the side undersurface of the screens. I am stucked in the middle on the swap and all the online replacement screen for iPhone A1901 have the undersurface brackets.

    Dropped 12 Pro Max in salt water - is there any hope?

    I was walking along the beach at low tide tonight and accidentally dropped my 12 Pro Max into ocean water. The depth was extremely shallow (couldn't have been more than 5 inches) and I scooped my phone up immediately as soon as it fell, so it was not in the water for more than 5 seconds.

    Everything still worked perfectly - speakers, mic properly recorded, touchscreen, face ID. I tried plugging my phone in an hour after it happened when I got access to a charger again, and it detected water so I disconnected immediately. I'm on vacation, so once I got back to my hotel I airdropped all the photos I wanted to my laptop. I use a MacBook, so all my messages/contacts/etc are backed up to the cloud. I checked the SIM card slot and it was white, so it doesn't appear to be damaged.

    However, my phone's battery just died since I was out all day and I don't know what to do now. I currently have it upright drying near the A.C. in my hotel room, but I don't know when I can/should start charging it again (at the earliest I don't plan to try until tomorrow night) or if I should even try charging it since I won't have the water indicator to see if things are okay. Everything I've read online indicates that even if I had a miracle of nature and my phone were to hypothetically charge again it'll probably be dead within a few weeks.

    Should/Can I wait to attempt charging with a MagSafe charger? Or should I just bite the bullet and buy a new phone?

    Is it possible to recover data in recovery mode? Updating via iTunes gives error 14.

    My dad's iPhone was extremely low on storage space so I told him to delete some stuff and that under no circumstances should he reboot the device... He ended up powering off and powering on the phone... Now the phone is stuck on the Apple logo while booting.

    I've tried entering recovery mode and using iTunes to update the phone, but it gives me error 14 about 40% of the way in.

    Is there any way to recover some of the data on the phone (mainly photos) or is a full reset the only option here?

    How to balance system and mic volume when screen recording

    Hi there. This has been bugging me for ages so I am excited to finally get some help.

    In short, I make YouTube videos for mobile games using my iPhone 12 (iOS 14.6). I use the native screen recording tool. PROBLEM: I cannot figure out if it is possible to balance to in-game volume with my microphone audio. The recordings get summed to one track and the game volume always drowns out my voice. Android devices seem to let you use the system volume to lower the game sounds while leaving the microphone audio unchanged. I am hoping it is possible with Apple too!

    So, is it possible to balance these relative audio channels without having to record audio via an external means?

    help resetting iPhone without knowing icloud password

    so I have been given the task to fix my fathers iPhone, he does not remember his iCloud pass and has no idea what email was used for recovery and also did not take the security questions seriously. I am wanting to know how how I can save his contacts, and then reset the phone as new so I can set it up as a new phone, with new iCloud account and then put contacts back on? any suggestions? I am willing to pay for any software to achieve this without a lot of headache. also the iPhone cannot download any apps without knowing iCloud pass

    Would attempting Update from Recovery Mode endanger future data recovery?

    My iPhone 7 fails to boot, it is looping a logo screen (more details below). I already have a replacement phone, what I care about now is rescuing data generated since the last successful backup. I would like to try putting it into "Recovery Mode" and then choose the "Update" option, in hopes this might get it working again. If that does not work, I would consider paying for a data recovery service (because the data has great sentimental value). Is there any danger that attempting the Recovery Mode Update might do something to the phone that would make it harder for a professional service to rescue data?

    I think Update installs iOS (a new version or the same that was on the phone?) and maybe also some lower level firmware (?), and it is not supposed to erase or overwrite my data and settings. However, if Update fails, could it be that the changes it makes (in the process trying to update iOS) would modify the disk in a way that would keep a professional data recovery service from being able to read/access the data in the future? I wonder whether encryption of data plays a role in this questions? Of course I know my passcode now, but would an Update interfere?

    Background: I tried to run an iTunes backup when storage on my iPhone7 was close to full (a few GB free). The backup process failed, and then the phone reported storage full and stopped working normally. A few apps worked, but most had issues, and my attempts to get data off the phone failed. It seems to have eventually shut off due to loss of power. I plugged it back in, and now it is in a loop (white screen with apple logo for ~3 minutes, then 5 seconds dark, and repeat). Force restart simply restarts the loop. The only things I know to try now are (a) plug in to computer and try to enter recovery mode, (b) unplug it and let it keep looping until it runs out of battery. I have not tried (a) or (b) yet because I don't want to endanger chances of successful data recovery down the road.

    I don't know what the cost of data recovery might be, but I'm pretty desperate :( so if anybody has a recommendation or tips, please share.

    Water within iPhone display

    My iPhone got wet (not submerged) and now has water within the the display. Prior to this I had the screen replaced by Apple, which I suspect is why it was no longer water resistant.

    Here is an image of the display. It's hard to get a good photo showing what I can see with my eyes, unfortunately, but I think you should be able to see enough.

    I believe the dark areas on the screen are caused by water currently within it. I suspect these will go away once it dries out.

    But what about the diagonal lines you can see running from the bottom right to the top left? Will those disappear once the screen dries out?

    I'm planning on removing the screen any letting it sit so it can dry out. I'm also considering running a blowdryer on it. Is it a bad idea to do this? What would be some good steps to take to dry the screen out?

    I use my iphone X 5hours average per week I charge it with original adapter I don't overcharge , its 30-80% always

    Is this normal ?
