Civ VI New Frontier Pass update - Full list of enhancements for M1 iPads and other modern devices Posted: 24 Aug 2021 08:21 PM PDT Civ VI launched at $60 on iOS, but came with the promise that this would be a true AAA game, fully supported just like its PC/Mac counterpart. Consequently, keeping the game's UI resolution, graphical fidelity, and performance at the same levels as the iPad 5th generation without any option to scale things up would be a massive betrayal to customers and essentially prove that the justification for the $60 price tag was nonsense. Fortunately, Aspyr media really stepped it up after years of silence and delayed updates. Here is the full list of enhancements for current generation devices in the New Frontier Pass update on iOS:
Hopefully, this will be a boon to the app store ecosystem, where customers are often unwilling to buy items with large price tags out of fear that their support will be incomparable to a "real" gaming device. [link] [comments]

Three Free Games To Take A Look At Posted: 24 Aug 2021 11:29 AM PDT As if you already don't have enough content in your life... Brick Breaker Dungeon > Free + IAP to remove ads. I don't normally even notice games like this and am not quite sure how I found it, but this game wouldn't let me go. Permanent power ups, spells and artifacts all used to smash specialized 'bricks' (in this case different wall types) as you advance through levels, each with 20 rows that fall drop to your base doing damage. Contact with each brick effects your balls differently. Keep an eye on the walls as parts will sometimes reflect randomly. i gotta say there is nothing more satisfying than making an empty lane and launching 8 balls to the back and watch them do some real damage. Game saves itself and you don't start over after defeat, you just don't earn enough gold. I'm at level 25 and it takes some real strategy and fine aim to succeed, but it isn't frustrating. Robot Colony -> Free + IAP to remove ads This is by the same Dev as Brick Breaker Dungeon (frankly all of this Dev's games are worth a look) yet is a very different game type. Feels a little RTS in it's approach, but everything is automated. Build bases and protect them from big ass bugs. Mine resources, build specialized zones (radius/resource boosts, tower defenses) and produce enough robots to last long enough to open the next level. Now while it's pretty automated, the strategy lies with focused approaches and builds, making sure expansion doesn't happen too soon. It's relaxing to watch your specialized bots go about their bot business and engaging and hard enough to have to pay attention. Tower Swap -> Free + IAP to remove ads This one was recommended to me last week and I haven't been able to stop playing. Don't let the simple graphics fool you, this is a full turn based stratagey game. Move pieces around the board to merge them into more powerful units. At the end of each turn (usually 7 moves) dragons attack from the bottom. Hopefully your selections and placements will protect you. So far I've been able to merge up to 3 levels for each type at least once, each being even more effective and powerful. Are there more? I haven't a clue, but I want to find out. This is one of those games that seems simple at first until you get past a certain point only to realize your choices were all wrong. Hope this helps! Enjoy! And a couple of other weird little recommendations over the past month: [link] [comments]

How to stream from an iPhone 5 with iOS 10? Posted: 24 Aug 2021 07:56 PM PDT I want to be able to stream some old games, but I haven't had any luck with softwares. iOS 10 is either too old, free mirroring software is sketchy at best, and I'm not comfortable with dropping money on a program that probably won't work with an older operating system. Are there any realistic opportunities for me? [link] [comments]
Posted: 24 Aug 2021 02:15 PM PDT so ive posted here before over a year ago, but thought id give it another shot since it was a dead end. im looking to see if anyone else remembers ANYTHING about a pokemon clone that was on the app store. the art style was distinctive with delicate lineart and seemed to be colored with watercolors or fine colored pencils (hard to remember now) and the designs were fairly realistic. it looked really nice, the gameplay was pretty simple though, along the same lines as dragon island blue. it had some online features where you could battle other players to get higher on the ladder. the artist also had a tumblr where she posted her art but i really cannot seem to remember her url :( any help would be appreciated, i cant get it out of my head ALSO i have looked through my downloads multiple times over, including using keywords i thought might be in its title and have found nothing [link] [comments] |
