    Issue with notifications when listening to podcasts

    I recently upgraded from the iPhone 6s to the iPhone 12 Pro Max.

    I listen to podcasts and music through the Apple Podcasts app and Spotify during my workday. Sometimes by manually connecting to speakers or through Bluetooth. On my old phone when notifications came in, the volume of what I was streaming would lower to let the notification come through, then go back up. It worked this way when directly connected to speakers, through Bluetooth, locked, or unlocked. With my new phone though, it doesn't lower the volume at all of what I'm streaming to let my notifications come through. The screen will light up and a sound will come out from my phone, but not the speakers I'm streaming to. I've been missing important notifications if my phone isn't right in my face all the time because of this, even texts.

    The settings were all imported from my old phone, so I don't know what the issue is. I have a suspicion it's because of Face ID/Attention Aware settings. I've played around with those, but it didn't change anything. I have found no settings under sounds, volume, notifications, or specific app settings to remedy this. Notifications are set to preview even when locked. My phone is not muted. Any Google searches are for older phones, and mainly they want the opposite of what I want, which is to not have notifications to interrupt their music. But I desperately need them to, so that I'm not obsessively checking my phone every 5 minutes to make sure I didn't miss anything.

    Anyone else notice this, and did you find a solution? Thanks in advance.

    Apple Music Spatial Audio Problem

    Hello! I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max. On iOS 14.6, I was using spatial audio on my non-Apple headphones and it was perfect except that it had to be connected to the internet or else it would stop working after 15 seconds. However, I updated to iOS 14.7 now the stopping problem is gone, but I cannot play Lossless neither Dolby Atmos features when I connect to my headphones. But on the phone speakers it plays it Lossless and Hi-Res.

    Note: my headphones are V-Moda Crossfade II supporting Hi-Res Audio files including the 16bit/44.1kHz audio files. And I have turned the Dolby Atmos features to Always On.

    Does anybody know how to fix it?

    Battery died at night

    Battery died at night

    Is it because of "optimised battery charging"? I read that it stops the phone charging when it gets to 80% and learns when u start using yr phone again to do the next 20%

    but is that all it does?

    Because last night I forgot to charge my phone, it's battery was like 40-80% I think (not too sure) but then when I woke up it was totally dead

    Why? Is it because the OBC feature "saves" the battery during the day so that when I go to sleep it and charge it, it makes it back up?

    the Voice Memo File Sync is a joke

    if you want to sync several files from the Voice Memos app or simply back them up in bulk, well good luck.

    right now im struggling with the app in general because it tells me that it takes up 20GB in storage ('Documents & Data), while i only have 5GBs of actual voice memos
    the solution according to Apple™️ would be to reset and restore my entire phone! wow

    they really enhanced the app in many ways over the last years, its easy to use etc and yet..
    do you have any other apps that you can recommend if i want to make use of my mic?

    iOS 14.7 - Music eating all my battery in the background?

    I maybe have listened to music for 60 minutes in total. There is no music downloading for offline usage.

    So what the hell could Music be using 75% of my battery for?

    Can’t update and download apps in ios 14.7

    After waiting for hours on end to update to iOS 14.7, my iPhone 8 plus cannot update and download apps from the app store anymore, I've tried to restart my phone, but nothing works. What should I do in this case?

    iPhone keeps roaming data (cellular off)

    I turned off roaming, and then also turned off cellular data completely on my last vacation. Still, my phone kept making little connections, which causes my Verizon plan to buy a roaming pass every day. My partner has the same problem, also iphone+verizon.

    Anyone else facing this issue?

    The person I am handing it to will likely be seniors or people who are not tech savvy, so "swipe left on camera" option is kind of a no-go.

    Live Photos seem great but most of the time the quality of the frames (other than the key frame) seems a bit lower. Perhaps there is a way to do Live Photo's but with a higher quality setting?

    I have an iPhone 12 fwiw. Any advice?

    Email swipe options

    In native email app, when swiping left it gives you options. Some email account options are More/flag/archive, while others are More/flag/trash. How do I make it so they all have trash option? Thanks

    Static Noise on Apple Music

    Occasionally when I'm listening to music on Apple Music, the song will just stop and just loud static will play. Sometimes the song will automatically just skip, other times it will continue and the static goes away eventually. Does anyone have a solution to this?

    annoying Siri response

    Guys can anyone help, when I ask Siri a question on HomePod that leads to Siri responding and then asking another question ( e.g asking Siri who someone famous is Siri then tells me the basics from Wikipedia and then asks if I would like to hear more, I say yeah or whatever and Siri just replies "That's what I figured" or "That's what I thought" and that's it) It's obviously a bugged response and it's annoying. This isn't just questions about who anyone is, I asked Siri to locate my AirPods Max and Siri asked if I would a sound to be played to help locate them, I said yes and I get the same response " That's what I figured" then nothing 🙄

    Screen recorder won’t record ANY sound when mic is on

    So I could record sound on the screen and talk and it would record everything on my iPad 8th gen, but now it records audio from the iPad, but if I turn the mic on and start screen recording it doesn't record the screen nor my voice. Is there any fix?

    Reconstructing iPhone Backup

    Good evening,

    I'm at the end of the road with this.

    Situation:

    A friend of mine called me for help with an iPhone.

    The woman had not updated her phone since iOS 12.0.1 and was running into issues.

    She did not have iCloud backup turned on and did not have appropriate cloud storage for it.

    She updated her phone via iTunes on her Windows PC.

    iTunes does appear to have backup up her phone on 7/19/2021.

    I saw the backup with the software version of 12.0.1.

    She states that when she did the update she got an error.

    Switched to a different PC and did the update.

    After the update she had to set the phone up again.

    When she set the phone up, she was missing her photos.

    To be on the safe side, we attempted to back the phone up in it's current state.

    For some reason, this overwrote the 7/19 back up.

    The backup function is not set up on her computer.

    I downloaded Recuva and am currently recovering the data from the 7/19 backup.

    The issue now is the recovered data is not organised in folders like it usually is in the Backup directory.

    Is there anyway to restructure these files to be readable by iTunes to restore from?

    I know this question is way outside of the norm. I appreciate any help that can be provided.

    After downgrading my iphone from ios 15 to ios 14 my appstore stopped working

I have important files I had saved on this app, and those images were saved on an old back up of my iPhone. however i deleted the app, and backed my phone up and now those files are gone. Is there a way to get these files back without deleting my current one?

    Is it possible for me to set an alarm that lasts a certain period of time on the iphone alarm ? for example , i ser it up before for it to play for 20 seconds and then stop . if not, does anyone know an app that does this?
