I received an sms from my bank that a payment on my card was declined (luckily it's an empty account) at APPLE.COM/BILL . However, I don't even have an Apple ID, an Apple product or even iTunes. I've been trying to reach support, but I can't because I need an Apple ID. Don't want to insert any card details after this to get an ID... Where / how to get help on this? freaking out a little. | Posted: 04 Jul 2021 07:18 PM PDT I have many thousands of photos and video so in an attempt to clear space on icloud i delete something like 8000 videos on my phone when I go to the photos app it shows the right amount with 19000ish videos but on my computer it still has the whole 27000 plus no space has cleared on icloud [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 04 Jul 2021 02:29 AM PDT My child has found a method to bypass the screen time I have set up for him (downtime, not app limit). He changes his time on his phone to a time where he has no downtime so that downtime doesn't affect him. I have tried the method of disallowing the date and time of the phone to be changed by: Screen Time - Content and Privacy Restrictions - Location Services - System Services - Set Date and Time (I tried toggling this on and off) - Back to Location Services - Don't allow changes Despite my efforts (I tried toggling this on and off) the "Date and Time" on his phone was not greyed out and could still be changed. | Posted: 04 Jul 2021 06:58 PM PDT Hey everyone! I have recently been learning Polish, and I am using the option to switch between multiple keyboards on your keyboard. I am on the laptop, not using a Num pad. When you add another keyboard you can use a keyboard shortcut recorded, and/or have the language icon in your toolbar to the right we are serious and stuff. The thing is, and maybe this is how Polish keyboards are formatted, as I know there's another keyboard format that is just this as I am describing. Basically your colon/semicolon, quote key, brackets, and backslash, etc. I replaced with Polish characters. Also the a and o and the mix up or stuff like that. Not that big of a deal really as it's a different keyboard format, but I'm not used to it really. Really what the problem is is that I'm clueless how I can access the brackets and quotes, as I use these a lot in programming syntax. Are use windows 10 as well as Linux. Windows has the same kind of feature, we're in the tray you have a keyboard switch your option. Unlike macOS, it doesn't switch up the syntax Keys per se. Instead you hold the option key on the cs', os', a's, l to get their Polish character counter parts. This is way easier for me. If there's a way in macOS settings to achieve this, that would be great. Otherwise if there's any third-party extension or app that isn't totally sandbox that can achieve this as well would be great. It's not the end of the world for me, I can switch between the American and Polish just to get some of the Polish characters. Was wondering if anything like this is possible though. Thank you! tl;dr The macOS keyboard style sucks for me and replaces polish chars with the {}, |\,;", etc. Windows just has you hold alt and the key. I've tried cleaning out my drive, uninstalling apps, and have clears my ram with CleanMyMac but still, just using safari, the Mac is super slow. I transferred this Macs drive from my MacBook Pro (2017, 16gb Ram) and was wondering if that could cause the slowness? | How to fix hardware problem IPad don’t wanna restore with error 4013 Posted: 04 Jul 2021 08:54 PM PDT My iPad 7th generation is on the apple logo loop for 2 months and here's exactly everything I tried I tried a lot of my neighbors computers and apple cables and other cables I took it to the store and told me that they couldn't restore it bc of a hardware problem or warranty Took it too a 3rd party store which the man couldn't fix it which he had tried everything but I had not mentioned anything about hardware So I'm believing that it's a hardware problem bc I been googling and ignored those fake Indian tenorshare scams and I need to know how do I fix the hardware for my iPad 7 generation that keeps giving me the error 4013 every time when I restore it with dfu mode and at the end of the process it looks like some spinning thingy on the bottom of the apple logo then poof gone and windows Laptop says error 4013 I know the first step open the iPad so now what? Unfortunetlly I have entered wrong code too many times and iphone is permamently locked. Itunes doesn't recognize the phone. What can I do to backup photos? | Got my iPhone stolen and now my fiancée is receiving calls from an Austrian number Posted: 04 Jul 2021 06:32 PM PDT So, basically the title. Just had my iPhone XR stolen about 9 hours ago. After I reached my home I called my carrier so they could block the phone and contacted the local police. I have only one position known with the Find my iPhone, which was a few miles away from where I got robbed and them it went missing again. Not sure if that can help the police in any way. Anyway, everything on it was exclusively accessed through facial ID and my 1password, so afaik they couldn't access anything, specially my finances. Although everything is on my 1password and when they robbed me the iPhone was locked, somehow a few hours later my Facebook password was changed (dunno why only the FB tho, no other password was changed, not even the 1password). The problem now is that my fiancée is getting calls from Austria with a fake voice telling her to type the password of my lock screen lol. I'm not sure how many people fall for this, but ok. My main concern is: how could have they changed my Facebook password, but only that one, and how do they know my fiancée number if my phone is locked? How did they get access to both these things if they are still having trouble entering it? Finally, my carrier told me they had locked forever my iPhone, so how is everything still happening after it supposedly being locked 7 hours ago? My Instagram notifications aren't working. I'm not getting push notifications of DMs, posts, comments, or anything when they happen. I don't get them in the home page of my phone (when you first turn it on) and it doesn't pop up at the top of the screen when it's unlocked. I've replicated this multiple times since I just need to get someone to DM me while my phone is off. This started happening around April of 2020 and I have no idea what caused this. 4)I've tried restarting my phone, checking if the notifications were on in settings and in the app, I tried uninstalling Instagram and installing it again, removing it from iCloud storage and putting it back on. | Magic Keyboard brightness slider greyed out and not adjustable (?) Posted: 04 Jul 2021 12:03 PM PDT I just bought a Magic Keyboard for my iPad Air (Gen 4). It synced immediately, and the track pad/typing works just fine, but the keys are not backlit. I went into Settings and the slider to adjust the keyboard lighting is all the way down (to the left) and greyed out to where I cannot move the slider. I tried restarting the iPad, checking for an update, charging the keyboard… nothing. They keys light up for one second when you first open up the keyboard but that's it. Anyone else experience this? | 11 Pro Max got splashed. Face ID and Volume up button no longer works. Posted: 04 Jul 2021 11:57 AM PDT Hi guys, I have an 11 Pro Max. Water got splashed at a pool. My iPhone was never dunked underwater, just splashed. Face ID no longer works. Tells me to move my head up and down. when setting up but doesn't show the circular face detection movement. Volume Up is also no longer working. There is some condensation under my front camera lens. I took out the SIM slot and used a hair dryer to blast air into it. I didn't blast hot air, I used the cool air option. My touch screen was wonky (Wasn't detecting gestures/touches). Once I took out sim slot and used the air, touch screen is working perfectly again. Putting my iPhone into a bag with silica gel packets seems to have helped. Less condensation under lens compared before using the silica gel packets. How likely can this be fixed? Does anyone have experience with this? I'm hoping that I can take to a good phone repairman to properly clean everything inside and hope the True Depth sensor will go back to normal.
