Weekly /r/iOSGaming Discussion - What have you been playing lately and what do you recommend?

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 04:00 PM PDT

Please use this thread to discuss whatever iOS games you've been playing lately. They don't have to be new games, they can be old games and they do not have to be iOS original titles!

As long as it's an iOS game it belongs in here. Make sure to put the name(s) of the game(s) in bold to make it easier for people skimming the thread to see what you're talking about, and if you'd like to make it really convenient turn the game name into a hyperlink that sends people directly to the App Store!

To keep track of the thread, the comments are sorted by "new" by default.

Games to play while watching tv

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 12:37 PM PDT

I'm a new iPad owner and have enjoyed playing slay the spire with the TV on in the background, and am looking for more stuff where I can kind of divide my attention between screens. Turn based, not too stressful. Suggestions?

Old ios game with similar screen layout to Slay the Spire

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 04:56 PM PDT

The last time I played this game was probably over 10 years ago so this is a long shot but what I remember is that it had a dark atmosphere with good pixel graphics, let you play as two characters who primarily could block or attack. let me know if this rings any bells honestly not expecting anything to come of this though

[Help] Trying to Find an Older, Fantasy, Three-Laned Tower Defense Game

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 12:12 PM PDT

There's a game I used to play a ton back in the day that I've been trying to find. The gameplay revolves around trying to destroy the enemies base/castle (sometimes defeating a boss) before the enemy destroys your own base/castle. There were three lanes which troops could be summoned to that make their way to the enemy base. Troops costed a currency to summon with higher end troops costing a lot more than baser troops (if I remember right, that best unit in the game was a Phoenix).

The entire game is built up around a campaign where a dark evil once sealed away is rising again. Your character, a human prince Asher (I believe this to be the case) takes control of the kingdom. With his allies of different fantasy races, the kingdoms forces unite in order to stop the evil force from rising again.

I've been searching for it for a while now and I haven't been able to find it. And no, it isn't: *Castle Conflict *Castle Conflict 2 *Kingdom Rush

Thanks for any help or recommendations on how to track the game down!
