    After seeing the Focus switching on iOS 15, I thought it would be interesting to see if I could create other "users" instead of different focus types for myself.

    For my son, I added the games and apps he likes to a Home Screen page and did the same for my daughter. Then I created a Focus for my son and one for my daughter with those pages only. I also turned off notifications etc.

    Now when either want to use my iPad, I select the Focus for them and away they go. It works great!!!

    So I mostly use Safari to search Google and it's really bugging me that I'll open Safari and start typing something into the address bar only for it to cancel it because the tab it was already open on has automatically refreshed.

    Anyone else?

    So far I've tried turning on and off iCloud Backup and restarting my phone but it's stuck in "Estimated time remaining" for a long time and I don't have Private Relay turned on since I don't have iCloud+. WiFi works on other devices btw

    PSA: It is possible to use iCloud Keychain just for TOTP verification codes

    Background :

    A lot of users already use another password manager app. Although iCloud Keychain is very appealing especially after these new updates that allow it to autofill one-time verification codes (TOTP), One fundamental drawback is that it's not cross-platform or even cross-browser. Even if you're on macOS and you use a 3rd party browser (Chrome), you cannot use iCloud keychain.

    Solution:

    Currently, I use Authy for my TOTP verifications. However, iCloud passwords are built-in and are more convenient as it auto-fills. Luckily, you can use this feature exclusively without adding importing your passwords over. Simply create new entries in your iCloud keychain for the corresponding accounts and add a dummy password. Scan the QR code for your TOTP verification. On your macs keychain access, you can delete the dummy passwords for each entry (its a silly workaround because on iPhone, the app does not allow you to leave the password field empty).

    If you use Authy already, it does not let you export your TOTP tokens easily. However, I'm working on a guide and I'll update the post when its published!

    [iOS 15 DB 1] When a song plays in an app, it won’t show in Control Center or Lock Screen. I also can’t use music controls on headphones. Happening on both Spotify and SoundCloud, I don’t have any other music apps on my phone.

    14.7 Beta 3: How’s the battery life?

    My phone has lost roughly 20 - 30% battery life ever since 14.5.1, and 14.6 made no difference. I know a lot of people are in this camp as well. Has the latest 14.7 beta fixed it? I've seen some posts on Macrumors that have me hesitantly optimistic. What are your experiences?

    Controller on iOS 15 keep disconnecting

    After installing the beta profile for iOS 15, I'm now unable to connect my ps5 controller using bluetooth and i dont exactly know why this is the case. Could this problem be related to installing the profile?

    I added Hong Kong and Tokyo to my favorite Weather locations but their names in the list show up differently. These names seem to be regions in those cities. Other cities don’t do this (iOS 15DB1)

    CarPlay iOS15 Driving Focus Notifications

    Could anyone on the iOS 15 beta confirm if we can get notifications from apps not supported by CarPlay with the new Driving Focus mode please? For example if I'm driving I'd like to get notified if my security cameras detect motion when I'm away from home. It's currently not possible on iOS 14 and if I'm driving I won't know until I get to my destination, which isn't great in case of a break-in.
