both devices have to have an update. you open the find my app and select a person. sometime it does not initiate but restarting app should work. pretty cool addition, i just wonder how it affects the battery of the moving device

IPad OS 15 Beta 2-Bluetooth issues

On my 12.9" M1 iPad Pro (512GB) I am getting terrible Bluetooth connection to my AirPods Max. With the tablet on my lap and wearing the AirPods I get random static and dropping in and out.

No issues with my iPhone 12 Pro running iOS 15 Beta 2 and the same headphones, so I'm confident the headphones aren't the issue.

Also no issues with the Apple Pencil functionality.

Anyone else having issues like these on the M1 iPad Pro?

Spatialize audio without head tracking?

So I like the new spatialize audio effect on a lot of music. But the head tracking that comes with it, not so much! I often listen to music when out and about, and it's very distracting to have a song rotate around when I look at things. Is there a way to turn off the head tracking and just use the "spatialize" effect? I'm on iOS 15 beta 2 using AirPods pro

iOS Beta causing apparent hardware failure on iPhone X

I installed Beta 1 on my iPhone X a day after release. I noticed after coming back from a day trip that the WiFi toggle was greyed out, and I figured it was a bug in the first beta, so I waited for Beta 2.

When I upgraded to Beta 2 the problem persisted, so I restored to iOS 14.6. When the problem didn't go away I made an appointment with Apple and got a replacement.

When I got the replacement I decided to re-install the Beta, since I had determined it was hardware failure and not the Beta's fault. I installed - WiFi was working - I spent the day restoring an iCloud backup over WiFi. Then - to my horror - the WiFi toggle was greyed out again with 1.5GB left to download from the backup.

I immediately restored to iOS 14.6 and the problem persists yet again - indicating a hardware fault. Is the beta causing hardware failure on iPhone X's? Is anyone else successfully running the beta on a X?

Additional notes (in all cases):

I have reset network settings
I have reset all content and settings

I have the driving focus set to turn on when connected to CarPlay Bluetooth and the CarPlay settings for it to turn on when on CarPlay, but neither automatically turn the driving focus on anymore
