I just got a new Apple TV 4K and hooked it up and constantly it blacks out and my tv searches for an input for several seconds then it comes back on before doing it again. I went and bought the recommended Belkin cable but it actually seems to do it much for frequently now. Any ideas at all as to why this is happening? [link] [comments]  | ||
| Network problem when disconnected from network Posted: 27 Jun 2021 07:38 PM PDT Any time my AppleTV 4K disconnects from my Wi-Fi it can't reconnect unless I reset the Apple TV. It's really getting frustrating since the weather here has been gross and we've had power outages due to storms. I can't figure out how to fix this other than resets. | Help with new setup recommendations Posted: 27 Jun 2021 08:20 PM PDT We've decided to add a tv to our great room / formal dining room. The tv will be at one end of the room by a dining table. The opposite end of the room has seating and currently has a HomePod (2018) stereo pair. The display is a 55" Sony X80J. We stream and have ATV4Ks throughout the house. I plan to add an ATV to this setup. Is there any reason to use the 2021 ATV4K over the ATV4K for either of the following scenarios: 1) using the HomePod (2018) pair for audio or 2) using a Sonos Beam, Bose, Sony or other sound bar. | Coming out of HDR purple screen Posted: 27 Jun 2021 11:30 AM PDT Hello everyone so I got the brand new Apple TV and I'm getting this issue whenever the Apple TV switches from an HDR to SDR screen I get the purple tint and cant see much. I seem to remember this being an HDMI issue? So I went out and bought some 48gbps cables, I think I had 18, and its still doing this. I have format turned to 4k SDR, 4:4:4 chroma, and match content and frame rates on. Edit. Fixed by turning off the color calibration off on the Roku app for my tv. [link] [comments]  | ||

| Posted: 27 Jun 2021 05:56 AM PDT So I've been having issues with the One Home Screen feature not working on my Apple TV's. It has worked for years but recently stopped working. I'm not sure exactly when as I don't change the Apple TV's a whole lot. It almost seems like the sync is corrupted with the way it's behaving. A long story short I have another call with senior Apple support today to collect more data and they have already mentioned they will want me to reset at least one of the devices. Before I do all that I figured maybe I ought to reach out here and see if others are having this issue too, or if it were just me. [link] [comments]  | ||

People with the newer Apple TV's, do you still notice audio/video sync issues in YouTube app since they added playback speed controls back again? On my Apple TV 4K (2017) half of the videos immediately start going out of sync when I put them on 1.25x, 1.5x or 2x: audio plays faster than video, and after like 15 seconds the gap is so huge it is impossible to watch content that way. Trying to decide if I need the updated Apple TV, as this change in YouTube coincided with the new release. [link] [comments]  | ||

| Airplay Mirroring slows down after a few minutes Posted: 27 Jun 2021 08:06 AM PDT When I mirror my iphone 12 via airplay to my new apple tv 4k after a few minutes (or maybe sometimes random?) the mirrored screen goes super choppy and slow with big delays. My internet is perfectly fine, there is no download in the background whatsoever which takes any bandwith. Any ideas? [link] [comments]  | ||
